Prof. Laura Hammond, Pro-Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange, and Dr. Daniel Mulugeta, Chairperson of the Center for Pan-African Studies, at SOAS University of London paid a visit to Adigrat University.
As part of the CST-Ethiopia and Adigrat University collaboration project, Prof. Laura Hammond, Pro-Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange, and Dr. Daniel Mulugeta, Chairperson of the Center for Pan-African Studies, at SOAS University of London paid a visit to Adigrat University on 18 Nov. 2024. During the visit, we had extensive discussions on issues related to fostering partnerships in areas of research, staff and student exchange, staff capacity building trainings, and other areas of mutual interest. The delegation was provided with a broader briefing on the past and present status of Adigrat University and its commitment to forge and consolidate relationships with the SOAS University of London and other institutions as part of the internationalization drive. The briefing was provided by Dr. Zaid Negash, University President, and Afewerki Gebreselassie, Dean of the School of Law. Both sides finally agreed to work towards establishing and strengthening their partnership in the areas outlined above. A campus tour was also given to the guests by Mr. Afewerki of the School of Law.
