Support for the European Media Arts Platform (EMAP) Funding

As of next year, there will no longer be any media or digital-arts focused platform or network funded through the Creative Europe programme. This affects important cultural actors such as EMAP, who have supported 150 artists and linked 100 partner spaces in 40 countries – one of which is transmediale.

Our Vilém Flusser Residency for Artistic Research is having its 13th iteration 💫 The 2025 collaboration between transmediale and Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK) focuses on nurturing the local scene in Berlin. We invite applications from Berlin-based persons working in the fields of digital art and moving image practices, design, sound, and media theory. The call is open to all formats with a focus on research-based practices.

The exhibition facilitates the creation of a shared resource of ideas for methods of rest, inviting visitors to imagine the future of restful spaces and practices by cultivating an environment where care is prioritised.

This event is part of Fever Loop Fountain - a four part series exploring video games and performance.
