MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله stated:

"The Prophet (ﷺ) gathered all aspects of piety in one statement. He (ﷺ) said:

'From the goodness of one's Islām is that he leaves alone that which doesn't concern him.'

This entails leaving off that which doesn't concern (the person)
from speech,
the things one looks at,
the things one listens to,
the things one touches,
the things one walks towards,
the thoughts (of the mind) and
the rest of the outward and inward movements.

This statement (of the Prophet) is remedial and sufficient (being all-inclusive) regarding the (aspects) of piety."

Perfection In A Wife?

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Al-Uthaymeen [رحمه الله] said:

“Indeed many husbands want their wives to be perfect. This matter is not possible, so due to that husbands fall into worry and concern and are incapable of enjoyment and delight with their wives, and perhaps this could lead to divorce.

Just like the Messenger [ﷺ] said:

«وإن ذهبت تقيمها كسرتها وكسرها طلاقها.»

'If you tried to straighten her you would break her, and breaking her is divorcing her.'

Therefore, it is necessary for the husband to be easy going and overlook everything that a wife does as long as it does not contradict the Deen or nobility.”

The Wisdom Behind Why Singling Out The Month Of Rajab With Fasting Is Makrūh (Disliked)

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

"Exalting 'Ashura' by singling it out was disliked since the People of the Book (i.e. Jews) exalted it; and singling out Rajab is also disliked since the mushrikūn exalted it.

He also said:
"The sunnah has established that singling out Rajab and also singling out the day of Jumu'ah with fasting is disliked. And it has been transmitted by way of the Salaf what indicates to the fact that fasting on the 'Eids of the kuffār - even though fasting is a good deed in itself - is disliked, as precaution not to resemble them and to exalt something that is not permissible to be exalted."

Al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah said :

قال المغيرة بن شعبة: إذا كان الرجل مذكرا والمرأة مذكرة تصادما العيش، وإذا كان الرجل مؤنثا والمرأة مؤنثة ماتا هزلا، وإذا كان الرجل مؤنثا والمرأة مذكرة كان الرجل هو المرأة، والمرأة هي الرجل، وإذا كان الرجل مذكرا والمرأة مؤنثة طاب عيشهم

"When a man is masculine and a woman is masculine, their life together will clash.

When a man is effeminate and a woman is effeminate, they will perish in weakness.

When a man is effeminate and a woman is masculine, the man becomes the woman, and the woman becomes the man.

But when a man is masculine and a woman is feminine, their life together will be harmonious."

Elegance is not only from your external appearance. There is also internal elegance,

it is the elegance of your tongue, your brain, your heart and the way you talk and act.

Salaat Ar-Raghi’ib—Bid'ah Alert 🚫

This prayer is offered between Maghrib and ’Isha on the first Friday night in Rajab, and is preceded by fasting on the first Thursday of Rajab.

An-Nawawi -𝗆𝖺𝗒 𝖠𝗅𝗅𝖺𝗁 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝗆𝖾𝗋𝖼𝗒 𝗎𝗉𝗈𝗇 𝗁𝗂𝗆- 𝗌𝖺𝗂𝖽:

“The prayer which is known as Salaat Ar-Ragha'ib, which is twelve rakahs that are offered between Maghrib and ‘Isha’ on the night of the first Friday in Rajab, and praying one hundred rakahs on the night of Nusf Shabaan (halfway through Islamic month Sha'aban) are both reprehensible innovations.

No one should be deceived by the fact that they are mentioned in Qoot al-Quloob and Ihya’ ‘Uloom al-Deen, or by the hadeeth which is quoted in these two books, because all of that is false.
No one should be deceived by some of those Imaams who were confused about the ruling on these prayers and wrote essays stating that they are mustahabb (recommended), for they are mistaken in that.
Imaam Abu Muhammad ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Isma’eel al-Maqdisi wrote a valuable book showing that they are false, and he did well in that, may Allah have mercy on him”.

Do You Act Upon Your Knowledge?

Umm al-Darda’ (رضي الله عنها ) asked a man:
‘Have you acted upon what you have learnt?'

He said ‘No.’

She replied: ‘Why do you seek of what Allah will use against you then?’

Abu’l-Darda’ (رضي الله عنه) said,
‘Woe to the one who acts without knowledge once and woe to the one who knows but does not act upon it seventy times.’

Al-Fudayl said,
‘The ignorant is forgiven seventy sins before the learned is forgiven one sin.’

It Is Not Permissible To Single Out The Month Of Rajab To Fast

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

"As for singling out (the month of) Rajab for fasting, then all of the ahādīth are weak. Rather, they are fabricated and the People of Knowledge do not rely on any of them.
However it has been authentically narrated that 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab used to strike the hands of the people so as to force them to eat in Rajab and he used to say:
'Do not liken it to Ramadān'."

Al-Bayhaqi (5994) narrated that Anas said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Send many blessings upon me on Friday and the nightbefore Friday, for whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold.”

Rajab Reminder: A Sacred Opportunity

Alhamdulillah, we’ve entered Rajab, one of Islam’s sacred months (Ashhur al-Hurum). These months are a time when:

1. Sins carry greater weight—Be mindful of your actions.
2. Good deeds are magnified—Increase your worship and kindness.
3. Repentance is welcomed—Turn back to Allah sincerely.
4. Preparation for Ramadan begins—Use this time to build good habits.

Honor its sanctity by seeking Allah’s pleasure and avoiding His displeasure.
