🔋 Smart electric sub-meters at your blocks will help Town Councils keep common services such as lights, lifts, and water pumps running smoothly.

🛍️ HDB-managed complexes will be even greener with solar panels, energy and water-efficient fittings, and food waste composting machines.

🔄 With over 1,000 beverage container return points rolling out islandwide including near HDB homes, recycling will be even more convenient.

Over the decades, these familiar spaces found in every estate have become cherished and iconic symbols of HDB living – and will remain so for generations to come.

Your weather app might soon be telling you that it feels cooler when you walk around your HDB estate. This is what we’re aiming for in extending the cool coatings initiative to all existing HDB estates by 2030 😎

Cool coatings are a special type of paint that reflect the sun's heat, reducing surface heat absorption and emission, and our 2-year study in Tampines has shown that they reduced ambient temperature by up to 2°C. Households in blocks painted with cool coatings also needed to use less energy to cool their flats.

As we look forward to the upcoming Lunar New Year festivities, here’s huat else we are celebrating together with our new home owners🍍:

🎉 HDB has completed over 18,000 flats across 22 housing projects in 2024. Of these, 4 projects were completed without delays, 3 more than in 2023, reflecting a steady recovery in the construction industry.

🔑Additionally, we have completed the final 2 pandemic-delayed projects, Punggol Point Cove (Phase 2) and Kempas Residences, in January 2025. Home owners have been progressively collecting their keys and moving into their new homes.

📣 Good news for home buyers! HDB will launch over 25,000 BTO flats in 2025! With this, we will have offered a total of about 102,300 BTO flats from 2021 to 2025, exceeding our target of 100,000 new flats.

Looking ahead, home buyers can expect a steady pipeline of flats, with more than 50,000 new flats to be launched from 2025 to 2027.

Urban living feels refreshing at Clementi NorthArc, where you can enjoy views of its award-winning landscape deck and take stunning sunset strolls along Sungei Ulu Pandan! 🌅🌳

🏆 For its extensive greenery, the landscape deck bagged the Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework (LEAF) Certification (Silver) 2023.

We’re trialling cutting-edge technologies at our BTO projects Garden Waterfront I & II @ Tengah, as part of our Construction Transformation Project (CTP).

One such technology is an AI-powered crane which lifts and rotates precast components precisely with the touch of a button. The Autonomous Tower Crane integrated with Skyjuster replaces traditional processes which used to be done manually, speeding up installation of precast components so we can build flats faster and safely.

If the trials are successful, we will roll them out to more BTO projects in future.

Presenting the #HDBeautiful projects that clinched this year’s HDB Design Awards:

📍 With its bold skyline and striking façade, Kim Keat Beacon by Kyoob Architects integrates greenery throughout its common spaces to create a pleasant living environment.

📍 Rivervale Shores’ design is inspired by the flowing Sungei Serangoon, and includes biophilic design elements such as landscaped gardens, quiet trails, and water features. It is designed by Surbana Jurong.

📍 Designed in-house by HDB, the residential blocks, facilities, and social amenities of Woodleigh Hillside are seamlessly integrated into the natural hilly terrain, giving residents a unique ‘living in a park’ experience.

These are part of the 26 HDB Awards we presented this year, to recognise the excellent work of our building partners, who have helped us deliver quality homes to our buyers. We also gave the inaugural Construction Resilience Recognition to 3 project teams for showing grit in overcoming the challenges posed by COVID-19. Thank you to our building partners for being on this journey with us!

BTO-bots, roll out! 🤖 From 2025, these high-tech helpers will be ready for action and will be painting and skimming the walls in half of our new Build-To-Order projects.

Sembawang North, Sembawang’s new housing area, will yield close to 10,000 housing units – 8,000 BTO flats and 2,000 private housing units, when fully developed. The first BTO project in the area will be launched in 2025, with the rest to follow progressively.

Among the plans for Sembawang North are a new Neighbourhood Centre, as well as a Community Wharves Link that will make it easy for residents to walk from their homes to surrounding amenities.

Woodlands North Coast will be transformed into an attractive waterfront destination!

We will add 4,000 new homes to the area, with the first BTO project to be launched in February next year and the rest to follow progressively. Other amenities being planned include a new integrated community hub, shops and eating houses, and the WoodsVista Gallery – a 1.9km walking and cycling path.
