Residence permits granted by year. In 2023 temporary residence permits were granted to 10000 Indians
However permanent residence permits were much more limited to non Europeans. Only 85 Indians received PR in 2023.
This is why Tusk's "Integrarion" policy is so dangerous. We currently have large numbers of foreigners here on temporary residency permits, if we integrate them that means giving them PR and eventually citizenship

There is a lack of clear information about the total number of foreigners in Poland, including students, workers, their families, illegals etc but this is probably the best, however real numbers for asian migrants are much larger

The government now allows the exam to be taken in English, not just Romanian, which will open the taxi service to a plethora of foreigners.
Most who will profit from this opportunity will likely be the many Indians, Sri Lankans, Nepalese and Vietnamese immigrants in Romania.
Drivers in Romania, beware of taxis in the future.
This comes after taxi companies lobbied the government for 5 years straight saying there are โtoo fewโ professional drivers, but they think countries like India or Sri Lanka can produce โprofessional driversโ.
In reality, taxi companies want to have a reason to fire their drivers who complain of low pay and replace them with foreigners who send half their salary as remittance money.

It irritates me that Polish abortion law is referred to as "women's hell". It irritates me because the issue of unborn children is completely ignored. After all, they are the ones who are sentenced to death. And that is exactly why this abortion fanaticism disgusts me so much. Restrictive abortion laws do not discriminate against women. Abortion is not a human right. And the UN and the EU have no right to interfere with Polish abortion law, because Poland is a sovereign state. It is shameful that the Polish left and Polish liberals are using the EU to attack their own homeland.
