Today I travelled to the village where I grew up in Leeds to pay my respects at the cenotaph with my two daughters and close family. My great uncle’s name is written on the stone.

My daughters are too young to understand yet (Catherine was more interested in playing with a dead worm!) but they enjoyed looking at the poppies.

Father of three, Christopher, was fast tracked through the courts and sentenced to 32 months in prison for Facebook posts, leaving his family struggling on the outside.

Julie, a grandmother of three, is one of the most controversial jailings from this year, being sent to prison for 15 months for a Facebook post.

Julie had no previous convictions and is the full time carer for her husband.

Just went to the library and my toddler, Catherine, was playing with some building blocks. This little Pakistani girl comes over and starts snatching them out of her hand. I ask her to share but she doesn’t understand a word I’m saying. Her mum comes over and starts speaking to her in a foreign language and sorts her out. Then it happened a few more times until her mum just started shouting at her and took her away. It was just such an awkward situation because they didn’t understand me and I didn’t understand them, and Catherine was sat there confused. I just said to Catherine when they left that the girl was being naughty and her mummy has told her off. I’m glad Catherine stood up for herself anyway.

Patriotic Alternative Conference

Over the weekend, Patriotic Alternative held our annual conference in a beautiful location in the middle of England.

Our sold out event was hosted by our South West Regional Organiser, Aaron, and featured speeches by seven prominent nationalists including:

- PA Deputy Leader, Laura Towler
- The Workers of England Union representative, Niall McCrae
- Founder of The Woodlander Initiative, The Woodlander
- Podcaster and comedian, The Ayatollah
- German politician and author, Sascha Rossmüller
- Australian nationalist, Blair Cottrell
- PA Founder and Leader, Mark Collett

Our almost 200 attendees were provided with refreshments on arrival followed by lunch later in the day, afternoon tea provided by Grandma Towler’s and a delicious evening meal of various meats, including minted lamb, chicken and pork, with sides of sweet potato fries, homemade coleslaw and salad.

The event featured a family room off to the side where mothers and young children could relax and play with each other and the opportunity to browse stalls featuring goods from nationalist businesses.

It was a truly wonderful day and we thank all those who attended.
