Before you slept, your life was shit.

After you sleep, your life will be shit.

This 6-8 hour long break you are taking through the medium of sleep is making you feel like you’re taking rest.

But are you really taking rest? Or are you preparing yourself for a new day with new frustrations of job?

Why don’t you just STOP SLEEPING and work so hard at the night that next day, you don’t even need to work at job?

Yes if you fail then your boss will fire you.

But it’s YOU who has given him the ability to control your life.

You work for him since morning 9 to evening 6.

Why? For some money? For food?

And you are still comfortable? Why are you not angry?

Why are you not angry that you don’t have control over your life?

Why are you not angry that someone else decides how much money you deserve to get?

Why are you not angry that someone else decides which category of school your kids will go to, whether world-class or average?

Why? Why? Why?

I know a lot of you will get angry for a second,

then think about how hard or difficult it will be to become a profitable trader,

then feel afraid and again lose the anger to go back to your shitty life.

But only few of you will stay angry for long - These are the winners.

They will stay angry for so long that they will change EVERYTHING.

3. Position Sizing

The third and last most important aspect for profitability is position sizing.

The mistake I’m sure almost each one of you make is that when entering a trade, you either invest your entire funds in broker or a random amount of funds.

Listen, becoming profitable is very mathematical and this destroys that math and puts you in the loss department.

This is what you need to do to determine how much to invest in each trade:

(i) Calculate 1 percent of your capital. That’s the amount you are allowed to lose in a trade. Not more than that.

For example, your capital is Rs 1 Lakh so the amount allowed to lose in a trade is 1 percent of it that is Rs 1000.

(ii) Calculate the stoploss size of your trade which you are going to take (CMP - SL price).

For example, suppose you are entering in a trade at Rs100 and on chart, you set SL at Rs 90. So your SL size will be 100-90 = 10.

(iii) Divide the 1 percent of your capital with SL size and the number that appears in front of you is the quantity that you have to take of that trade.

For example, in this case, the quantity to invest will be 1000/10 = 100.

Formula: [ Quantity to invest = 1 percent of capital / SL size ]

If you use this formula every time before you take a trade then you are not going to lose more than what you are comfortable with.

You will not ever complain about making a big loss.

Not just that, but if you combine the 2nd and 3rd points, you’ll rarely have to worry about wiping out your capital because, mathematically, it becomes nearly impossible to lose your entire capital.

You will learn about the 3 Must-Haves for becoming a profitable trader.

There’s no way to make consistent profits without these.

Broadly there are 100 different things you need to fix, like overtrading, strategy, capital, etc.

But when you go deep down, you realise there are just 3 things that you need to fix.

And they are:

1. Strategy
2. Number of trades
3. Position sizing

That is what there is.

At this point, someone will say, “Piyush, you missed psychology” or “Piyush, what about controlling emotions?”

Yes you are right.

I will not say you are wrong.

But those are not as important as these 3 aspects.

Each of the other aspects you are thinking about can be solved automatically if you fix these 3.

Trust me on that.

So let’s start one-by-one:

1. Strategy

You might see 1000 different kinds of strategies on the internet.

But not everyone makes money so do these strategies even work?

Or are they just a hoax?

Truly, a little bit of both.

In the strategy part, you need to have a strategy that first has more than 60 percent accuracy.

Not 50 percent because then it becomes just too difficult to make good money for retailers.

How to have a strategy with 60+ percent accuracy?

Either create it yourself or learn it from someone else.

But don't just blindly learn any strategy and just start using it.

First learn, then backtest it for at least 3 months.

Take a notebook, take a pen and start writing how much profit/loss it gave on each day for the last 3 months.

If you see it has given good profits in the last 3 months then awesome, go and use this strategy.

If not, then forget about that strategy.

Backtesting is not going to take more than 2 hours of your 1 day.

Are you so lazy that you will invest your money as per a strategy but would not even backtest it before by yourself?

“That youtuber told he has backtested it so why should I do it again”

That youtuber has half knowledge and he is a liar.

Do it yourself.

Don't outsource backtest.

A strategy is the most important part of trading.

2. Number of trades

The issue is, when you make a profit, you think, “I just want a little more, then I’ll be done,” or “I’d be happier if it was ₹1500 instead of ₹1000.”

And when you make a loss, you think “Let me just recover this loss, come back to zero then I would not trade”.

This is the root of most of your problems.

You fix this, and you automatically fix overtrading, discipline, emotions management, etc.

Do you understand the magic?

You thought I wrote those 3 things just randomly? NO.

I know how each issue can be solved because I have done it for myself and a lot of others.

Before you begin trading, make a commitment to yourself.

You can even write this on a piece of paper and stick it on your laptop, or make it a wallpaper of your mobile:

“No matter how much profit I have,
No matter how much loss I have,
No matter how good a trade comes,
No matter what happens,
Even if god comes,
I will not take more than 3 trades a day”

That is the commitment you have to make.

Then read it everyday to remind yourself.

You are in the beginning stage so you should not take more than 3 trades a day no matter how much loss or profit you have.

Some people might think “I have made so much profit. I can risk a small part of that profit in the next trade”.

Just put a tape on your mouth brother.

Quit. You're addicted to trading.

It's time to walk away. Enough is enough..

No more trade means no more trades.

Taking more than 3 trades a day is the root of each of your problems whether emotional, psychological or overtrading.

You can take less than 3 trades a day, it's fine.

But under any condition, don't take more than 3.

“But Piyush some traders take more than 3 trades a day and they still remain profitable”

That's because they are experienced.

I just watched a news article saying 25% of coding at google is being done by AI now.

It’s 1:32 AM right now.

What am I doing this late when the world is sleeping?

Simple - I am watching charts.

“But Piyush, why don’t you watch in afternoon?”

Ok so let me take you through my day:

I woke up at 7 AM and straight went to the gym.

Came back at 8:30 AM to start preparing for trading.

(Didn’t have breakfast)

Started trading and at 11 AM, something strange happened.

My mother got sick and asked me to take her to the doctor.

I had to take her to the doctor but I also saw that I am in a trade.

What did I do?

Took her to the doctor while watching the trade in mobile phone.

Made profits and also brought back mother to home.

Spend 5 minutes thinking how lucky I am to live this life.

No Boss to beg for holiday.
No dependency on anything.

Just pure freedom and peace.

Ok so now it was 1:30 PM so I ate my lunch (didn’t do breakfast).

Most people will ask me do you watch market even after your trades are completed?

The answer is NO and it is because why? Why do I have to watch the market if I don’t intend to take any trade?

For fun? No I am not going to do that.

There are 2 possibilities that can happen if you watch the market even after your trades are completed:

1. You will take more trades after getting excited by something on the chart

2. You will regret exiting earlier or not holding for longer.

I don’t want to do any of those mistakes so once my trade gets completed, I simply close my setup.

I did some personal work till 4 PM after which I went out.

Came back at 7 PM and since then, I am watching charts and analysing global markets while watching news of what’s happening all around the world.

“But Piyush do you really need to do it? You have Magic Levels right?”

Brother I don’t need to watch the news or analyse charts. I have Magic Levels and I can be prepared for trading in less than 10 minutes. The formulas of Magic Levels will tell me exactly where to enter and exit.

Let me explain you all something.

I don’t know where nifty will go in the next 1-2 months.

But I know one thing.

If it crosses 24400 in the next 1-2 weeks then it will be non stop bullish.

Why?

Because if you notice it has given a good fall on 4th November but it recovered very quickly today reaching almost that day’s high.

This beautifully represents a bearish trap according to the rules inside ‘Magic Levels’.

In these scenarios a breakdown is shown which is so strong that everybody feels scared to go bullish.

And once everyone is scared then market gives such a strong reversal that everyone thinks it is a fake reversal.

But in reality it is a GOOD reversal which will most likely continue its journey towards the upside.

However remember one thing which is Nifty needs to go above 24400 and close. After that there should be no event day.

If nifty doesn’t go above 24400 in next 1-2 weeks then just forget about this post because it will be invalid as nifty didn’t fulfilled the criteria.

When I was 16, I used to work as a milk delivery man.

I delivered milk in morning and at evening on my bicycle.

I would wake up at 4 AM.

Work from 4 AM to 6 AM.

Eat something in a nearby shop.

Go to school quickly on cycle.

Waste time for 6-7 hours.

And then come back to home.

My entire life in those 3-4 years were spent 14 hours watching charts everyday.

This picture is from the time when I lost my father’s 1 month salary in trading.

I clicked this picture in 2018 and the time is 11:56 PM. I was 15 years old at that time.

It was late night for me as a child but I was still awake and analysing charts to find some similarities.

I was crying because I didn’t know what to do. I kept making losses and tried every indicator/chart pattern. Nothing worked.

I clicked this picture then threw my phone at the wall and broke it because I was so frustrated with my situation.

Now I realised it was the mistake of those people whom I used to watch videos of, and read blogs of.

Anyways now I have reached the top 1% of traders in India 😇

Few rules for Diwali everyone should follow (if you love me):

1. When you do your diwali shopping and come back, do not talk about your purchases in the cab or auto. The driver may feel bad because he cannot do the same for his family.

2. Do not give old clothes to your house helper or maid, instead give them a new cloth. Take the lesser priced one but don’t give old clothes. It will make them feel good about diwali.

3. Give some sweets and chocolates to your ragpicker (safaiwala) so that he can hold something good while collecting garbages during the auspicious occasion of diwali when everyone focuses on cleanliness. His children will also thank you for the entire day and smile as soon as they see the sweets in their father’s hand.

4. Don’t post or discuss your diwali gifts from employer with your friends/neighbours who have not got any diwali gift from their employer. There is absolutely 0 advantage to it instead why do you want to make your friend feel less about themselves. You should do the opposite.

We all will surely have a Happy diwali but there are people less fortunate than us and it should be our responsibility to at least make them happy as well for this diwali.

₹500 or ₹1000 given to a needy person who has a salary of 10-15k will be a week of happiness.

The same amount won’t matter much to some of us. So just give it away to the needy people and make them happy.

Look at their face going from sad to cheerful in a second.

Your diwali will feel 10 times better for you.

If you’re my fan, and you’re fortunate enough, you will definitely do this for our brothers and sisters.

I’m receiving a lot of update from trusted sources that I’m making The Gang extremely angry with my recent posts on manipulation in stock market.

I’m being told that I’ll be punished in the form of endless negative PR attacks to make people lose trust on me so that they can continue looting.

The Gang has attacked me multiple times in the past too but all of it failed as people realised what I speak is the truth.

I have an honest belief that -
