Couldnโ€™t update here today lads sorry, spent all day working on The Haven content, spamming them with stuff and never found a moment to share here.

Sharing this tweet with you: https://x.com/pierre_crypt0/status/1694327311305216095?s=46

In this thread - particularly the end youโ€™ll have all my thoughts and levels for BTC.

Basically after this H4 close, itโ€™s a battle to:
- Hold H4 > H4 trend && 26.2-26.4K
- Break H1 200 EMA
If BTC manages to do bothโ€ฆ up. Otherwise back to Chopfest at best and some alts gonna get hammered.

Fews days later and nothing to add/update except that... indeed LTF trends were the right focuses to have post big vol to avoid the chop.

And H4 trend is still perfectly intact.

Reminder: We're potentially expecting news/updates RE:Grayscale v SEC this afternoon. MAYBE this can help break the H4 trend to give bigger bounces or not.

In any case, H4 downtrend makes a perfect focus to have here:
- As long as below, forget green expect continuation (don't have to short, can remain just flat and patient. That's what I'm doing on BTC at least)
- If/when H4 downtrend broken = expect bigger bounces and aim for H4 100 MA && H4 200 EMA retest (gap fills) wherever they are
- If/when 25.5-26.0k really break... Buckle up.

tldr:
1) LTF downtrends still strong, respect them
2) D1 still in downtrend
3) Expecting news later in the day
== Take your time, let the LTF trends unfold, the news kick in, and if you're playin the market make sure to have size/risk calculated, accepted, and respect your freaking invalidations

As always, after big moves/volatility, I tend to focus on LTF trends (15min-H1) as they're very good indicators on wether we can have a bigger bounce or not:
1) Avoid long exposure until LTF trends reclaimed
2) If/when reclaimed, play gaps up to 100 MA/200 EMA and higher TF trend
3) Wait to see if broken

On the charts shared here (ETH/USDT & BTC/USDT H1) I've highlighted
1) H1 trend + levels to break/flip (in confluence with H1 trends)
2) and in red circle the potential gaps to play up to 100 MA (green dotted MA) / 200 EMA (black stairs EMA)

...
3) Until these LTF downtrends can break, you probably have no business playing further bounces

Note: We're all expecting news today from Grayscale vs SEC lawsuit/ETF, this could bring shit ton of volatility again (I hope), so if you're playing anything in the market, make sure to have crystal clear invalidations AND RESPECT THEM.

$BTC - W1/D1/H4

Key levels:
1. Summer 2023 pivot (July Range Low / August Range high) @ 29.4-29.6k
2. Q2 2023 pivot && D1 100 MA confluence @ 28.4-28.6k
3. March-April Range Low / May Range High && D1 200 EMA confluence @ 27.2k

Main trends:
1. W1 uptrend @ 27.2k, defended since 20.5k reclaim
2. D1 downtrend @ 29.2k, confluence with Summer 2023 pivot

In circle reds the main gaps to play on D1 if August Range Low reclaimed or D1 100 MA lost.

Yeah not much updates sorry, but not much happening neither. Another case of cool impulse into death vol for the next few days it seems.

Levels and focuses unchanged.

New day sale levels, same focuses + CPI early in the afternoon. Expecting a spike of volatility induced by this, and result of the spike (above or below 29.5k) probably decides the faith of this breakout attempt.

From yesterday itโ€™s pretty obvious the importance to break/flip July Range Low, anything until then is tricky and uncertain to me.

You can start the day with the exact same list of focuses as yesterday imo.

Answers so far of our questions/focuses of the day:

"1. BTC capacity to hold H4 > H4 200 EMA"
-> So
far still holding but barely and not showing much reaction, would need a proper bounce here/now.

"2. BTC capacity to flip 29.5k support"
-> Same now that H4 200 EMA @ ~~29.4-29.5k

"3. BTC capacity to break and reclaim July Range Low @ 30.0-30.4k"
-> Retested this area today, and got denied heavily showing very well the importance of the area if anyone doubted

"4. What alts are showing biggest strength"
-> We
got a few spikes today across the board but most of them retraced, not much came out of my watchlist today, focus remains on BTC for now (outside of on chain bags)

"5. What alts are showing biggest weakness"
-> Same

Conclusions:
- BTC definitely not showing the kind of immediate continuation I wanted
- Failing to defend H4 13 EMA is usually not what I like to see for an upcoming new trend (any directionโ€ฆ it just shows uncertainty)
- Itโ€™s crucial from here that it holds > 29.5k if we want any chance of upside continuation from here
- July Range Low showed well itโ€™s important as "second key area to reclaim" discussed yesterday and earlier today
- Not much excitement on alts to talk about on my end

Last week I perfectly avoided the nasty 29.3-29.6k failed reclaim. This week Iโ€™m giving it a shot. The invalidation is clear to me.

For this reason and because of PTSD, Iโ€™m not confident enough to go hard on the market outside of already running bags. Thatโ€™s why in focuses of the day you can see Iโ€™m mostly watching BTC and trying to spot isolated (weak and strong) trends within alts.

Depending on BTC capacity to hold and flip D1 trend into new D1 uptrend, if any isolated strengths shows up Iโ€™ll know on what to focus then. If it fails to do so, weakest shitcoins could make great shorts.

Beautiful push from Bitcoin yesterday, closing H4 > H4 200 EMA && D1 > D1 trend.

Bought back some exposure on first close H4 > H4 200 EMA yesterday, and added again this morning. Invalidation based on D1 trend and 29.1-29.5k region again.

Risk is obviously seeing this failing to flip 29.5k && D1 trend and go into full retrace again, thatโ€™s why before focusing on alts mostly/only, I am keeping my focus on BTC today/next 24-48h see if we can get a flip or not.

Outside of this main exposure to the market are OP/SOL/on chain bags longs (notably a quite early/OG UNIBOT bag that is still running strongly).

Main focuses for today:
1. BTC capacity to hold H4 > H4 200 EMA
2. BTC capacity to flip 29.5k support
3. BTC capacity to break and reclaim July Range Low @ 30.0-30.4k
4. What alts are showing biggest strength
5. What alts are showing biggest weakness

Results of these focuses will define the plays and trades for this end of week.

GL HF everyone

So far no regrets closing BCH short yesterday, definitely gonna wait for sub 225-235 again to get back in.

Bitcoin back at retesting H4 200 EMA and the 29.3-29.6k area.

Just like last week, the focuses are:
1. 29.3-29.6k as first key area to flip on H4/D1 basis
2. 30.0-30.4K and July Range Low as second key area

Last week BTC tried to flip 29.3-29.6k and failed, letโ€™s see if we get another shot this week or not.
