Working on a residents portal of Uzbekistan’s Club!

I do love to see the passion in applications of uzbek’s living abroad.

The best part is them getting to know Uzbekistan’s Club about me☺️🤭

Anyways, if you are an uzbek college student, worker at a company abroad, definitely apply to be part of our community!

Btw, happy to see around 50 being interested in the speaking course, though many people thought it is free.
Unfortunately it is not. I wanted to have 5 people discussing important issues and improving their speaking together:)

have fun❣️

short islamic story🌱

I want to tell you a story—one as old as time. A story of two brothers united in purpose but divided by choice. A choice that sent them on different paths and, thus, different destinations altogether. You think you know this story, and you do, but I promise you, it’s not the story you’re thinking of right now.
Our story begins with a king. He was wealthy and wise and ruled far and wide. One day on one of his expeditions, he met two brothers who needed his help. The just and wise king decided to help them by helping themselves, as it was better to teach a man to fish than to feed him fish.
“I have a task for you!” declared the king. “It’s simple, but it’s consequences are great and will only take a short time. I will return to you in three months with what you need.” The brothers were excited, knowing that their problems would be solved.
“Each one of you has been assigned a pile of bricks,” said the king. The task is easy; move these bricks to the point marked X in the manuals provided to you and re-arrange them according to the instructions provided therein.” The brothers looked at each other in anticipation of their reward for this odd but rather simple task.
“If you do this,” the king continued, “I will personally invite you into my castle, where all your needs will be taken care of until you die. I will also invite your families and take care of them, too. And depending on how well you do this task, I will give you luxuries beyond your imagination. " The brothers gasped in astonishment: all these for just moving bricks, “this is a steal of a deal!”
"However,” the king echoed, “if you do not do this, I shall consider that an act of disrespect and disobedience to my authority, and as such, I will throw you into my dungeon for as long as I see fit. Do I make myself clear?”
“of course, Your Highness, who in their right mind dares disobey the mighty king!” the brothers humbly said.
“Who in deed... remember our appointment is in three months; do not disappoint me!" The king soon left with his words lingering in the air.
Brother A took out the manual and started reading it while Brother B decided he didn’t need it; what’s there to know about moving bricks? He thought. So he went to work. And at first he was energetic, carrying 20 bricks at a time, and he made good progress working the whole day. But by the second day, he was worn out, his muscles ached, and he was no longer interested in doing any work. Brother A on the other hand, had finished reading the manual, and he discovered that the trick was slow and steady. He also learned from the manual that he needed to take a break 5 times daily to regain his strength. Something that Brother B couldn’t be bothered to find out.
By the seventh day, Brother A was in the lead, and Brother B was already bored by the task's simplicity. So, when their friends came to visit, Brother B was overjoyed for that much-needed distraction. On the other hand, Brother A stayed focused, remembering his mission.
Fast-forward three months. The King comes to visit as he had promised, only to find that Brother B has remained distracted for most of the time and has barely stacked two rows, which are in ruin because of the hasty manner in which the task was done. On the other hand, Brother A had almost finished stacking all the bricks. It was carefully done even though some chipped during stacking, and some even broke.
I don’t need to tell you how the story ends because this is not the story of Brother A and Brother B. This is my story and your story, our collective story of choices. And we all know how the story ends—one of two ways. Of course, to Allah belongs the highest example, but the moral of the story is that distractions will be there, boredom will set in, and complacency will take root; nonetheless, we must stack those bricks! After all, isn’t man just a sum of his efforts? And his efforts will certainly be laid bare.

My favorite animal is me when I know I HAVE to do something and I am capable of doing it.

This year is going to be very channeling. Many goals to achieve.

Craziest thing is those goals do not influence just my life, but my family members’ too.

And I am here ready to sacrifice anything costing my peace, happiness and state of mind to achieve those goals.

Cheers to another year of grind!

One more time I came to a realization that I will have lots of issues with lack of customer service when come back to Uzbekistan in a year.

I bought a desk lamp from Gulzor in Navoi. First she was rude, I said okay fine at least the product is good.

Then when I asked for a box of the lamp, she said they throw it away immediately after bringing here.

I asked for a proper packaging. They give me a plastic bag.

Guess what, there is a hole in the bag now.

I have been living with the perception of getting married in my early twenties, having kids and them spending enough time with my parents and me simultaneously achieving my goals.

All of that was just to have time to enjoy everything in life.

Now considering my age, a new realization has been hitting so hard.

Marrying the wrong one and having certain part of my life in pain doesn’t worth taking the shot.

Instead no matter how much time it takes, actually choosing the One who deserves me and whom I deserve, and following the plan not considering the timeline, seems valid.

Things have to be in decent quality when it comes to my life. Let it be my health, relationship with close people or relationship with myself.

So I better keep the quality not worrying about the timeline:)

Hope the theory works.

My focus has been on people recently. I started to get very sentimental about how they behave especially if I was part of it. Let it be something they thought they are doing good for me or they purposefully tried to hurt me.

The focus of my life, obviusly, shifted from everything else in my life to THEM.
Started to think what did I do wrong that they think of me and take actions certain way, as typical oldest daughter would think.

After months of processing, it really hit me how much time of mine it has been consuming. This unhealthy interaction, let's call it that way, led me to a conclusion that I should stop.

Taking a moment and realizing wheather they are even WORTH of me thinking of them. Obviously, the list of sources of my headache shortened.

If I would not want to have their lifestyle, why would I have to listen their advice?

It all again led to imprtant life-long skill. Sorting out the important ones.

We have access to limitless resources, but WE choose which one we actually need.

The same goes here, you have access to many people, their advice, spending time with them. But you are the one to actually choose which one you want to accept.

BE SELECTIVE about your choices.

As I said earlier, ideas are flowing. After this post, I will be with my diary.

Never leave a journalist or a writer with enough sleep in the middle of the night.
New ideas, self criticism, regret and nostalgia hit their peak. Can you ever get control of your own mind? Do you journal? Maybe write poems? Or even pray?
Maybe do all. But no matter how much you try doing different things, the distraction of mixed thoughts will always be there. Controlling might be the only way to confront it. Literally restricting thinking about certain things. Convincing yourself that you are able to control.
But at the end of the day, you will probably end up writing a post like me. Have a good night!

Part 2

They gave me a ride home and on the way I obviously gave decent questions using my journalistic skills.

Not only their career was interesting to me but also their love life.

After 35 years of marriage they were still looking at each other spark and respecting each other’s company.

I obviously asked for advice! Well calm down, I am just building my life, so I had to ask. My insights are these:

• admit when you screw up. Everyone makes mistakes but just neglecting them won’t fix anything.

•do not count every step you put. If you truly love, don’t be afraid to give. Your partner isn’t supposed to do something because you did something.

•SHE IS ALWAYS RIGHT.
Period!

It was interesting night. Hope to use these insights sometime in my life.

Part 1

Yesterday I got to be part of an event by World Press Institute where we had decent conversations about the election results, possible consequences and feasible solutions.

Interestingly, we had 10 journalists from countries like Italy, Finland, Peru, Ukraine and Kenya.

But what amazed me was the members of that club. Majority of them were diplomats, journalists, writers and policy makers with experience like being in media team of President Putin.

At the beginning of the event the chair Tom incredible person, first on the left, introduced me to the whole members and obviously everyone got to know that I am from Uzbekistan studying journalism here.

So a guy came up to me and started to talk about his experience with Soviet Union and Uzbekistan in particular. Turns out that he was one of the journalists in Putin’s media team. Being American himself, he married to a Russian woman from St Petersburg.

After a some time we got to know that their house is nearby my dorm.

Why Minnesota?

That’s what people always ask. Well the reason why I am here is to build the community I wanted from scratch.

When we came to Minnesota there were only three girls from elyurt trying to survive here without losing our identities.

Over time the goal was to let people know that there is one more option in elyurt’s college list. We made courses and videos to help people on their way here.

Guess what? I got what I truly wanted.

Every week we are somewhere on campus talking about current issues, politics, religion, people’s rights, countries policies.

And it is not just talking! You give an idea. You get other people’s ideas. No matter how different your idea is, it will always be supported.

That’s how you develop your character by giving and getting.

That’s how we are building that society.

That’s how big changes come to life.

And I am happy to be part of this!

I continued getting charms on bday but this time on my own.

In the past 3 weeks my family has gone through a tough financial situation and saw how they were struggling with it. But we all made it!

The tree with pink heart resembles our strong family tree. The pink heart is the love that makes it shine bright and stand strong.

Meaning that we can win every battle when we are here for each other with hearts filled with love.
