Delhi High Court Cut Off reduction case update

Discussion

1) The counsel for Union of India mentioned that the reduction in cut off has been approved and the percentile has been reduced (committed to the court).
2) The petition has been disposed off (since the prayer in the petition has been granted - cut off has been reduced)

The exact reduction - no idea. Should be notified in a day or two.

Order by the Delhi High Court (As Dictated)

Pursuant to the previous order of 30th Dec 2024 - Counsel for the respondents states that the decision for relaxing the existing percentile has been taken by the competent authority and has been approved. The percentile having been reduced for issues of admission through the concerned Medical process for the MD/MS/DNB courses for NEET PG counselling 2024, the Counsel for the petitioner says the grievance has been addressed. Accordingly the petition stands disposed off taking note of the statement made by counsel for the petitioner.

Summary:
1) Cut off reduction is confirmed. AI 3rd round will happen after cut off reduction
2) MCC has extended the AI Round 2 resignation deadline till 8th Jan 6 pm (now accommodating for Tel, Rajasthan and may be MP round 2 results too)


Process of cut off reduction

1) MoHFW will notify NMC through a letter to implement Cut off Reduction with a copy to NBE
2) Post this NBE will notify the cut off reduction (being the examination body)
3) We will have a revised AI vs State Schedule (both AI timelines and state timelines modification from round 3)
4) MCC will notify the revised counselling schedule for AI round 3 (starting from fresh regn where reduced cut off based eligible candidates can register).

Note: If you are already eligible and looking for fresh registration, please register now itself. Don't wait till the revised schedules. Registration might still be open for all even later, but why take a chance!!

5) AI Round 3 Choice filling will start for all. Expecting this to start after Jan 8th (Unlikely but please check notifications daily (just in case they start even earlier)

States related confusion (What we Expect)

1) Some states like UP, Goa etc - even though it was very clear that the AI counselling is delayed - have gone ahead and published schedules. Some have published their State R2 resignation deadlines to be by 8th Jan (UK) etc.

2) We expect that all these states will modify their state r2 resignation deadlines and state schedules as per
the revised AI vs State Schedule (both AI timelines and state timelines modification will be notified). Once you have the revised schedules published by NMC or in MCC portal - the changes will be communicate by these states. In any case if there is a process now in any of these states - please go ahead (like let us say Goa says send across choices - please send them).

मी डॉ. चेतन बोरसे आज आपल्याला आयएमएच्या होमिओपॅथी डॉक्टरांना अॅलोपॅथीची प्रॅक्टिस करण्यास परवानगी न देण्याच्या निर्णयाविरोधात माझा तीव्र विरोध व्यक्त करण्यासाठी लिहित आहे. "महाराष्ट्रात होमिओपॅथी डॉक्टरांना अॅलोपॅथीची प्रॅक्टिस करण्याची परवानगी देणे" हा निर्णय एक महत्त्वाचा बदल आहे, जो आरोग्य व्यवस्थेवरती सकारात्मक परिणाम करेल.

महत्त्वाचे मुद्दे:

एफडीएचा निर्णय: अन्न आणि औषध प्रशासनाने होमिओपॅथी डॉक्टरांना 'रजिस्टर्ड मेडिकल प्रॅक्टिशनर' म्हणून मान्यता दिली आहे, ज्यामुळे त्यांना अॅलोपॅथी औषधे देण्याचा अधिकार मिळाला आहे.

सुप्रीम कोर्टाचे मत: सुप्रीम कोर्टाने स्पष्ट केले आहे की, मॉडर्न मेडिसीनची प्रॅक्टिस कुणाची मक्तेदारी नाही, त्यामुळे या निर्णयाला कायदेशीर आधार आहे.

आयएमएचा विरोध: भारतीय वैद्यकीय संघटनेने या निर्णयाविरोधात दंड थोपटला आहे आणि न्यायालयात जाण्याचा इशारा दिला आहे. हे रुग्णांच्या आरोग्यासाठी धोकादायक ठरू शकते.

डॉक्टरांची संख्या: राज्यात ८२,००० होमिओपॅथी डॉक्टर नोंदणीकृत आहेत, त्यापैकी ३०,००० डॉक्टरांनी 'सर्टिफिकेट कोर्स इन मॉडर्न फार्माकोलॉजी' (सीसीएमपी) पूर्ण केला आहे, ज्यामुळे त्यांना आवश्यक ज्ञान आहे.

डॉ. बाहुबली शहा यांच्या मते, अनेक खासगी रुग्णालयांमध्ये होमिओपॅथी आणि आयुर्वेद डॉक्टर निवासी वैद्यकीय अधिकारी म्हणून कार्यरत आहेत. त्यामुळे या निर्णयामुळे होमिओपॅथी डॉक्टरांना अधिक अधिकार मिळणार आहेत.

📢 The Mumbai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a circular permitting homeopathic doctors to prescribe allopathic medicines to their patients. However, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) strongly opposing the FDA's directive. According to a release from the FDA, only homeopathy doctors who have completed the 'Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology,' a one-year program from a government-approved medical college, will be allowed to prescribe allopathic medicines.
