ESSENTIAL REMINDERS:

"Advice to the Muslims Midway Through Ramadhaan"

Shaykh ʿArafāt al-Muḥammadī’s Clarification on The Double Standards of Those Warning from Taqwīm Aslam

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I have not received any evidence regarding brother Taqwīm Aslam, and I had advised some of the brothers who were speaking against him to provide us with evidence so that we could present it to our scholars, who would then advise him. I also requested these individuals to provide the evidence promptly so that we do not involve our youth in mere gossip and disputes.

Undoubtedly, engaging the Salafī youth in haphazard warnings while cautioning them against attending knowledge-based conferences has got nothing to do with wisdom. If only we were more eager to unite the word of Ahlus-Sunnah and refrain from sowing the seeds of discord and division.

And whoever lives among the polytheists must adopt even more wisdom, patience, and gentleness—especially when we are in a blessed month; the month of worship, night prayers, and fasting.

By Allāh! I am astonished at those who hear the audio recordings containing attacks against our senior scholars, accusing them of:

-being ignorant of evidences,
-lacking knowledge of the fundamental principles of virology,
-never stepping beyond their rulers’ directives,
-being incapable of making any decisions in this (medical) field,
-and never saying anything that contradicts the policies of the rulers!

Yet despite all this, they do not even twitch!

Then they listen to a disgraceful audio recording mocking Shaykh Sālim Bāmaḥraz—may Allāh preserve him—, with its speaker laughing shamelessly and disrespectfully!! But we see no one even twitch or express anger for the sake of our senior scholars!

There is no power nor might except with Allāh.

Shaykh Dr. ʿAbdul-Ilāh ar-Rifāʿī, may Allah preserve him, regarding the accusations against Abū Mu’ādh Taqweem:

❝In the Name of Allāh, and all praise belongs to Allāh, and may He raise the rank and grant peace to the Messenger, and his family and all his companions.

Allāh, Blessed and Exalted, says:

Say, ❝Bring forth your proof, if you are truthful indeed❞.❜—Sūrah al-Baqarah:111

Shaykh ʿAbdur-Raḥmān as-Saʿdī, may Allāh have mercy on him, said:

❛Therefore, anyone who makes a claim must provide proof to validate it. Otherwise, if the claim were to be reversed upon him and someone else were to claim the opposite without proof, there would be no difference between them. Proof is what validates or invalidates claims. Since they had no proof with them, it became evident that their claim was false.❜ — End of the quoted passage from his Tafsīr, may Allāh have mercy on him.

As for what follows...

I have come across the statement issued by our brother Abū Khadījah and those with him against our brother Abū Muʿādh Taqwīm Aslam, which is devoid of evidence.

I had hoped that Abū Khadījah and his companions would provide proofs and verification for their claims against a Salafī caller who has benefitted people in the lands of disbelief by teaching books on creed (ʿaqīdah) and other subjects.

A while back, one of my students had requested that I meet Abū Khadījah so he could present the evidence against Abū Muʿādh. I agreed on the condition that the evidence be presented. However, in the end, Abū Khadījah refused to sit and provide the proofs.

This is truly regrettable. It is incumbent upon the one who claims to have the truth to present it with evidence, following the methodology of the scholars, without adopting extremism (ḥaddādiyyah) or leniency (tamyyīʿ).

I strongly disapprove of this approach in dealing with Salafī students of knowledge. While some of the scholars and people of virtue have also expressed their disapproval.

There is more to this discussion which remains to be explained.

And all praise belongs to Allāh, the Lord of all worlds.

Fajr of Friday
14th Ramaḍān 1446AH❞
