God wants you to know Him.

Searching for Him isn't like looking for a needle in a theological haystack. He isn't hiding. He isn't unknowable. He isn't some mysterious force or philosophical construct that you can't quite grasp or attain.

In fact, the opposite is true. His Son appeared to all in bodily form. Jesus, "the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being," walked this earth in plain sight so that anyone seeking God could find their way to Him.

God's not hiding. He's been looking for you for a long, long time.

Do you know why? Because He wants you to know who He is...and who you are, too. He wants you to know that you're the object of His affection, created in His image, made by and for Him.

He wants you to know that the Unknown God has a name. He wants you to know that the incredible desire for worship rooted deep inside your heart was crafted for Him.

The Scripture says, “You’ve been made in the image of God.” He made you talented, beautiful, smart, confident. You are fully equipped for the purpose He’s laid out for you. But the trick of the enemy is to distort your self-image. He doesn’t want you to see yourself the way you really are. The Psalmist said, "You’ve been fearfully and wonderfully made." But when you look at that mirror, you’ll see all your flaws, everything you don’t like will be exaggerated. You’ve been forgiven, redeemed. The past is over, but when you look in that mirror, you’ll see all your mistakes, failures, times you didn’t measure up. Looking back at you is a guilty, unworthy, undeserving person. It’s a distorted mirror. You’ve been through disappointments, setbacks. Life hasn’t treated you fair. That distorted mirror will come up. You’ll see yourself defeated, at a disadvantage, nothing good in your future. The truth is God has beauty for those ashes. What was meant for your harm, He’s turning to your advantage.

ጉዳዩ፦ አገራዊ የጾምና የጸሎት ጥሪ ማድረግን ይመለከታል

በመሠረተ ክርስቶስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ባሉት ቀጣናዎች፣ ክልሎች እና አጥቢያዎች በሙሉ አገራችን ኢትዮጵያን አስመልክቶ ከየካቲት1 ጀምሮ እስከ 15 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም ድረስ በጌታ ፊት ጸሎት እንዲደረግ በመሠረተ ክርስቶስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አስተዳደር መሪዎች ጉባኤ ተወስኗል፡፡ ስለዚህ ቀጣናዎች፤ ክልሎችና አጥቢያዎች እንደ አካባቢው ተጨባጭና ምቹ ሁኔታ ፕሮግራም በማውጣት ተዘጋጅቶ በቀረበው የጸሎት ርዕስ የእግዚአብሔርን ፊት እንድንፈልግ በአክብሮት አሳስባለሁ። የጸሎት ርዕሶቹ ከዚህ ደብዳቤ ጋር አባሪ ተደርጓል፡፡

ከየካቲት 1 እስከ 15 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም የሚደረገው የጾምና የጸሎት ፕሮግራም

የጸሎት ርዕሶች

1. የምስጋና ጸሎት

1. በምድራችን የወንጌል ሥራ አሁንም ስለቀጠለ፣ ሰዎች ዛሬም ወንጌል ስምተው ስለሚድኑ፣ ሁለንተናዊ ፈውስ ስላገኙና የእግዚአብሔር መንግስት በምድራችን እየሰፋ ስለሆነ እግዚአብሔርን እናመስግን።

II. በአገራችን ኢትዮጵያ እየታዩ ስለሚገኙ መልካም የልማት ተግባራት እናመስግን።

2. የንስሃ ጸሎት

1. የእግዚአብሔር ቃል በሚያስተምረው እውነት መሠረት በትጋትና በጽናት ባልቆምንባቸው ጉዳዩች ንሰሃ እንግባ፡፡

1. የእግዚአብሔርን ፊት በጾምና በጸሎት ባለመፈለጋችን፤ ተገቢውን የጽድቅ ህይወት በመኖር ለሌሎች ምሳሌ መሆን ሲገባን እኛም የሌሎችን መንገድ ተከትለን በተገኘንበት ጉዳይ ንሰሃ እንግባ።

IIL አንዳችን ሌላችንን በገፋንበት፣ በጠላንበት፤ ስምን በከንቱ ባጠፋንበት፤ በወንድሞች መካከል የመንፈስ አንድነት እንዳይኖር ምክንያት በሆንበት እና በአጠቃላይሕወታችንን እንደ እግዚአብሔር ቃል ባልመራንበት ሁሉ ንስሀ እንግባ፡፡

3. የልመና/ምልጃ ጸሎት

1. በሀገሪቱ በተለያዩ ሥፍራዎች ያሉ የፖለቲካ ኃይሎች በኃላፊነት መንፈስ በጋራ ለሀገርእና ለህዝብ በአንድነት መስራት የሚችሉበትን ጥበብ፣ እውቀትና ማስተዋል እግዚአብሔር እንዲሰጣቸው እንለምን፡፡

II. በሀገራችን በሚገኙት የኦሮሚያ፤ የአማራ እና የትግራይ ክልሎች ያለው ከፍተኛ የጸጥታ ችግር ጌታ እንዲያቆመው እንጸልይ፡፡

IIL በምድሪቱ ላይ ፍትህ እንዲሰፍን እንዲሁም በተለያዩ የሥልጣን ደረጃዎች ያሉ የመንግስት አካላት ሕዝቡን በከፍተኛ ኃላፊነት፣ አክብሮትና ቅንነት ማገልገል የሚችሉበትን ጥበብ፣ ማስተዋልና የልብ ስፋት እግዚአብሔር እንዲሰጣቸው እንለምን።

IV. የሀገራችን ኢኮኖሚ ስርዐት ድሃው ማህበረሰብ ሰርቶና በልቶ እንዲያድር ፍትሐዊ እንዲሆን እንጸልይ፡፡

HOW TO RESPECT YOURSELF

(1) Stop looking for who is not looking for you.

(2) Stop begging.

(14) Learn to spend money on yourself. That's how people will learn to spend on you.

(15) Be scarce sometimes.

(16) Be a giver more than a receiver.

(17) Don't go where you are not invited. And when invited don't overstay your welcome.

(18) Treat people exactly the way they deserve.

(19) Except they owe you money, two call attempts is enough. If they value you they will call you back immediately .

(20) Be good at what you do. Be the best you can be.

4. SHE LOVES BEING LOVED
Yes, she is not waiting to be done for things, but when you love on her and do good to her, she is receptive and appreciative. In as much as she loves to give, she welcomes being served and given too

5. SHE LOVES GOOD FOOD
She will make attempts to cook the best meals and in the process, feed your soul too.

6. SHE'S FUN
Though she's intelligent, she can also act silly, crack jokes, tease, laugh; she is great company

7. SHE KNOWS HOW TO CALL FOR HELP
When she's stuck or in trouble, she knows how to ask for help. She doesn't suffer alone

8. SHE'S A REFLECTION OF GOD
You see her and see God, she's becoming more and more like God: loving, forgiving, graceful, strong valued

9. SHE IS CONFIDENT
Whether she is an introvert or outgoing, she has a high self esteem. You can't bring her down. She has admirable qualities

10. SHE FEEDS HER MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
You will catch her often reading a stimulating book or novel, praying, eating the right foods and working out

11. SHE KEEPS RELATIONSHIPS
She will have strong people surrounding her, whether a best friend, a clique of girlfriends or a bunch of close friends. She values relationships with friends and family not just the one with her man

12. SHE UNDERSTANDS HER BODY

Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you've been through, it's never too late to begin again.

I believe this one sentence is more than a speech or a sermon; it is one of the core messages of the Bible. Regardless of your past failure or your present struggle, God offers you a new beginning. Fresh starts aren’t the exception; they’re the rule. We see them all throughout the Word of God. For example:

• Far from his potential, wandering on the back side of the desert, Moses is called to lead a nation. Fresh start!

• A victim of her reputation, known only as the harlot, Rahab is rescued and given a noble name in the lineage of Christ. Fresh start!

• Stuck in a dead-end job tending sheep, David is anointed the next king of Israel. Fresh start!

• Widowed, alone, and with nowhere to go, Ruth is given a brand- new, better-than-imagined life. Fresh start!

• Ashamed, having given in to fear and denied the Lord, Peter is forgiven and inspired to preach at Pentecost. Fresh start!

• Caught in a trap of dead religion, persecuting the early Christians, Paul is transformed and called to write much of the New Testament. Fresh start!

Do you see the pattern? Time after time, story after story, page after page—God offers a new beginning, and His people make the most of it. The circumstances change, and the stories vary, but the grace of God never wavers. God always offers a new chance. A new opportunity. A new life.

Take the time to develop the habit of simply reminding yourself that God is with you in all that you do. The more you think about this, the more of a reality it will become to you. God is omnipresent. He is everywhere all the time, and surely He is with each of us. You are not alone—not now, not ever. God is not only with you, but He loves you unconditionally, and He will guide you throughout your life.

The highest level of learning - is teaching.

Teaching anything to anyone else forces you to think about that information differently.

You have to categorize it, sort it, organize it...

But most importantly of all, you have to PRODUCE it.

Experts understand the difference between:
- receptive skills (listening/reading); and
- productive skills (speaking/writing)

And they know the massive difference between being able to understand what someone says (listening) and being able to say what you are thinking (speaking).

Teaching is the "speaking" of learning.

What do we tell students who say, "I can understand, but I can't speak" ?

Well, the only way to really KNOW how to speak...

Is to start speaking.

Without that... you can't speak. (obvious, I know)

If they tell you "I don't know how to speak English" (in their native tongue)...

You get them to speak... first one word... then a sentence... then a paragraph…

Before long, they are speaking without you telling them to.

The same is true for teaching.

When someone says, “I understand how it works, but I can’t do it.”

Tell them to TEACH it to someone else.

It works like magic…

First you teach one idea… then a concept… then a process… then a system…

Before long, you are teaching others entire fields of knowledge.

And that’s why TEACHERS are actually high-level STUDENTS.

They PRODUCE learning.

They MASTER knowledge by synthesizing and organizing it.

And this is why teachers must constantly learn new information too.

You need a steady stream of new information and ideas…

So that you have something to synthesize and organize.

When you stop learning (stop receiving learning)…

You get stuck teaching old methods and information (producing learning from old knowledge).

When you constantly learn as a student (receive learning)…

You can synthesize it, organize it, and teach it to others (produce learning from new knowledge).

Because learning is at the core of both the student’s role AND the teacher’s role.

They are two sides of the same coin, forever linked.

So if you know something…

But you aren’t teaching it to anyone…

If you understand how it works…

But you haven’t shared that knowledge with others…

Just start teaching someone.
