A poem on Gaza
In the dead of silence, beneath the dim-lit sky,
Gaza weeps softly, as the world passes by.
Mothers cradle their children, bodies cold and still,
Fathers raise their hands, surrendering to Allah’s will.
Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel.
Their homes lie in ruins, their land drenched in blood and tears,
Yet their hearts are steadfast, for Iman calms their fears.
Demonstrating, O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer [Al-Baqarah 2:153]
They hold firm to these words, through despair and despair.
But where is the Ummah, where is the world? Why do the people in power not care?
Nations stay silent, their voices a mere whisper,
While Gaza is left in the grip of disaster.
Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, the Prophet (ﷺ) once said,
For it ascends to Allah, unhindered,.
Yet the world turns its face, unwilling to see,
The agony of Gaza, and its desperate plea.
Their bodies are being blown apart and turned into shreds.
Livings are left starving, malnourished,unfed.
O Ummah, please don't forget your brethren in need?
Let's strive together to make them once again free.
The shackles of tyranny has already cause them to profusely bleed.
And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children [An-Nisa' 4:75] - they silently plea.
But even as the explosives continue to fall and the skies are ablaze,
Their Iman remains their light through the darkest of days.
Inna ma’al usri yusra -
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. [Ash-Sharh 94:6],
They cling to this promise, knowing Allah sees.
Ya Allah, hear their cries, ease their pain,
Lift them from oppression, free them from this oppressive chain.
Grant them sabr like Ayyoob (AS), strength like Sulaiman (AS),
For in You alone, they place their trust, Ya Rahman, Ya Raheem.
Take vengeance from their enemies,
Ya Qawi, Ya Aziz.
The world may forget, but You never will,
Your justice is inevitable, Your decree is fulfilled.
O Gaza, Inshaa Allah, your patience will reap its reward,
For no tear, no loss, escapes the sight of your Lord.
Even though this world may remain silent and still,
The Day of Judgment will reveal all atrocities and every evil.
