GS3 it can be divided into economy, environment, s&t, Dm and security. they are asking mostly theme based questions.
1. For economy the throw understanding of the current affairs is must. For that non traditional sources such as YouTube videos from official sources such as RBI governor, CEA give an insight into trends of Indian economy and their perspective serves good understanding of concepts. These are additional supplements to traditional sources.
2. Along with that good hold over facts, figures and examples are must which add weight to answers.
3. In S&T some questions can be prepared well before. The question on James web telescope was expected such ground breaking innovations should be studied in depth as their is greater chance that UPSC may ask questions from such recent happenings.
4. In security the nature of questions are pretty much same. What UPSC is doing is cross linkages. Ex role of terrorism in organised crime. Or how terror network is using cyber systems. UPSC is literally playing with key words and generating questions in this section. The weightage of the marks are also similar in this section. So can fetch decent marks by preparing standard content beforehand.
5. Questions from environment and dm are less in numbers. Either they are concept based or current based. Using prelims knowledge is sufficient no extra knowledge is required. But focus should be on themes. Ex: urban floods, plastic waste, climate change etc..

*What is believe is since last 3-4 years the scores in GS 3 have stagnated infact it is one of the papers where low marks are given. So if not adequately focused then it may hurt aspirants badly. If focused it may atleast get us between 80-100.

* The strategy can be fussion of conceptual understanding with current affairs. Supplying with facts and figures in answers. It is easier said than done. So one way is to take questions and dived structures and brainstorm the content. Guys it works like wonders. Once you started to do it. You will gradually attain the ability to answer widerange of questions with good quality. It will be helpful in recalling quality answers even in pressure situation like actual mains exam.

Urgent🚨-

Hello everyone, this is a reminder, an urgent one. If you still haven’t sorted your essay and answer writing. You practically have only two to three month’s left.

Here ‘sorted’ means you can write reasonably good essay in 1:30 hours and a 10 marker in 7 minutes.

And ‘reasonably good’ means you consistently get approx 60 marks and 4-5 marks in answer writing.

If you are thinking you can do it after prelims, you are gravely mistaken.

Sit with yourself for sometime, introspect. If the answer is NO, then please do yourself a huge favour and get on it.
