Maths Paper 2: Computer Programming (Algorithms & Flowchart)

I've tried to standardize Algorithms and Flowcharts in Computer Programming part in Paper 2!

If you go through one, rest all can be followed very easily (You just need to be familiar with the formula of that particular Method)

Hope this helps!

Hello everyone. Since long I've felt that the true realities of UPSC aren't out there openly. I feel whatever is presented on public platforms falls short of giving a true picture about UPSC and its nitty gritty.

Hence this time, along with the Josh talks team, a new initiative has been started wherein we did a Podcast.

And in this Podcast Crude, Raw and Unfiltered views & counter views were shared freely + There was no agneda/itinerary/moderator for the video.

So, basically the aim is to bring as much transparency as possible wrt UPSC preparation.

Do check it out if you feel like. Thanks.

Hello everyone. Hope this channel finds you all in good spirits! I'm Himanshu Mangal. I've secured AIR 288 in UPSC CSE 2022.

Here's a brief introduction about me so that we can connect/relate better.

I come from Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan. I did my whole schooling from here only & then went to IIT Bombay in 2013 to pursue B. Tech in Civil Engineering.

I finished my degree in 3.5 years (Dec 2016) and utilised the remaining 6 months to give my 1st attempt at UPSC CSE 2017. I failed Prelims narrowly that year (around 2-3 marks) & due to financial constraints, I could not continue my preparation and hence started working with Citigroup, Pune as a Software Developer. I worked there for 3 years (2017-2020) & also pursued CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification along with my job.

I left my job in May 2020 & started preparing for CSE again. Due to COVID-19, Prelims was shifted to Oct 2020 & hence I appeared in Prelims and also cleared it luckily. I had Maths as an optional which I had not touched till now and the same was reflected in my marksheet in 2020 attempt.

I gave my first well prepared attempt in 2021, reached till Interview stage but failed to make it to the final list. It was mainly due to poor marks in Essay (95) & Interview (162).

After failure in CSE 2021, I had only 4 days to buck up for Prelims 2022 & thankfully I cleared all three stages this time. Scored very good marks in Interview this time (190) but Essay (97) again let me down! Such is the unpredictable nature of UPSC! 😓

I'm grateful to be finally out of this UPSC cycle & this channel will be a sincere and humble attempt from my end to give back to the aspirants community. We'll be working hard together & I'll try my best to make the UPSC journey simpler for you in every possible way!

Yours,
Himanshu Mangal

PS: I'm sending my marksheets here for now! I will keep on updating things in most simplified manner after the dust settles.
