-Metapex used for filling the root canals of primary teeth. It contains calcium hydroxide and iodoform. It is yellow in color and can be *difficult*to remove due to its composition. Calcium hydroxide acts as an antimicrobial agent and *helps in stimulating the formation of hard tissuewhile iodoform *enhances its antibacterial properties***

It is white in color and is **considered easy to remove due to its water solubility, making it a suitable option for cases that may require removal of the filling material in the future. Cone fit;

عند اختيارنا للقمع GP cone يُفضل ان تكون القناة غير جافة و ان تحوي القناة شيء من سائل الارواء irrigation solutions  مثل الصوديوم هايبوكلورايت او كلورهيكسيدين ( حسب اخر سائل تم استخدامه) ولهذا عدة اسباب منها:

- لو كانت القناة جافة و امتد القمع عند التجربة fitting الى خارج القناة و كان هناك lesion او اي محتوى كالدم و غيره فقد نسحبها و هي ملوثة و نعود و نلوث القناة المجففة اصلاً حتى او كان القمع معقم. ، فوجود السائل في القناة سيكون بمثابة سد لهذ الراجع في حال حدوثه

- وجود السوائل داخل القناة سيحاكي وجود sealer هناك اي ان ال fitting سيكون ادق من انه لو لم ييكن هناك سائل
To mimic having sealer inside the canal

فبعد اخذ ال cone الصحيح و اختياره بعد التعديل عليه نقوم هنا بتنشيف القناة!! ولكن!؟!!! من المهم عند التجفيف احترام الطول العامل WL لان ورق التجفيف paper point لو خرج الى خارج القناة و سُحب فسيلوث القناة كما كان ال GP cone ليفعل لولا وجود السائل ، فدائماً اقول في محاضراتي و دوراتي
“ احترم ال WL خاصة عند التجفيف"

Assess the patient's smile, tooth color, and alignment.
Plan the desired outcome and discuss it with the patient.

2. Tooth Preparation:

Minimal tooth preparation is usually required.
Remove a thin layer of enamel to create space for the veneer.
Shape the tooth for optimal bonding.

3. Isolation:

Isolate the teeth using rubber dams or other isolation techniques to keep the area dry.

4. Etching:

Apply an etching gel to the tooth surface to create micro-pores for better bonding.

5. Bonding Agent Application:

Apply a bonding agent to enhance the adhesion of the composite material to the tooth.

6. Composite Layering:

Layer and sculpt the composite material onto the tooth.
Use different shades and translucencies to mimic natural tooth appearance.

7. Finishing and Polishing:

Shape and contour the composite to achieve the desired form.
Polish the veneer for a smooth and natural appearance.

8. Bite Adjustment:

Ensure the proper bite alignment to prevent issues with occlusion.

9. Final Evaluation:

Evaluate the aesthetics and function of the veneers.

10. Home Care Instructions:

Provide the patient with instructions on oral hygiene and care for their new veneers.

It's important to note that the success of composite veneers depends on the dentist's skill, the quality of materials used, and proper patient care post-procedure.

You may see the coronal portion of the tooth referred to as the BioDome. For most indirect Biomimetic restorations, the BioDome takes the form of a ceramic onlay or overlay which is adhesively bonded to the preserved BioRim. A smooth preparation allows the restoration and tooth to function well together in compression. Sharp corners or line angles should be avoided in order to minimise the potentially catastrophic concentration of forces in these areas. Standard engineering concepts should always be considered when restoring a tooth biomimetically.

Enamel is said to act as a compression dome, helping to transmit compressive forces to dentin when a load is applied, and therefore reducing potentially damaging or catastrophic tensile forces. The BioRim can be described as the base of the compression dome. By removing the BioRim (e.g. by carrying out a traditional crown preparation), the compression dome is disrupted and compressive forces directed from the occlusal portion of the tooth can result in damaging tensile forces in the cervical area.

Preserving the BioRim and the Compression Dome Concept
The BioRim is defined as the 2-3 mm of tooth structure (enamel, DEJ/DEC and superficial dentin) located above the CEJ

Buccal cusps of Uppers and Lingual cusps of Lowers are more likely to crack. There is no cusp-fossa relationship in their envelope of function and therefore they are under tension rather than compression. For this reason, tension cusps should be onlayed if thickness <3 mm.

The cusp thickness should be measured from the base of the cusp using callipers. It is commonly recommended that holding (functional) cusps <2 mm and tension (non-functional) cusps <3 mm should be onlayed. Depth grooves should be created of known depth (2-3 mm), and these grooves should then be connected using a straight diamond bur.

The tensile strength of enamel is dependant on the orientation of the enamel rods or prisms. The study by Carvalho et al. in 2000 found that the tensile strength of enamel with prisms positioned parallel to an applied load was 24.7 MPa. With a perpendicular load applied to the enamel prisms, the tensile strength was found to be 11.4 MPa.


Bevel or Butt Joint?
Gingival enamel should only be beveled if:
It is thicker than 1.5 mm
Box depth is less than 4 mm.
If the enamel is thinner than 1.5 mm or the box depth is >4 mm, then a butt joint should be opted for. This is because the enamel in this region is decussated, meaning it has an irregular orientation and a uniform bevel cannot be achieved

اخوتي هذا السيلر علميا لا يصنف على انه MTA BASED SEALER لأن نسبه الأم تي اي بي 15% فقط وهسه راح اشرحلكم الطريقه الدعائيه الي تعتمدها الشركه لمن كاتبه 40%
انما تصنيفه العلمي هو SALICYLATE RESIN BASED SEALER الي هو يعتبر THERAPEUTIC SEALER اساسه رزن وليس ام تي اي
جيد لعد الشركه شلون كاتبه بالبروشور ٤٠٪
الطريقه ذكيه جدا لان المنتج يجي عباره عن بيس وكتلست والعبوتين او التيوبين غير متساوات بالوزن (بعدد الغرامات) فمثلا احدى التعبئات بيها

اذا تلاحظ البروشور مال الشركه ما كاتبين نسبه الام تي اي من الحجم الكلي بعد الخبط انما كاتبين بالعصاره الي هو بيها نسبته ٤٠٪ وبعمليه رياضيه بسيطه تكدر اطلع نسبه ام تي الكليه في حال تم خبط العصارتين

MTA Fillapex (Angelus, Londrina, Brazil) is a unique salicylate resinbased sealer that contains 15% MTA powder. MTA Fillapex should not be regarded as a tricalcium silicate (MTA, a bioactive ceramic) sealer since its composition is primarily resin. However, many researchers have wrongly referred to this sealer as “MTA-based”.
