❗️The head of the Pentagon called on Ukraine to end the conflict as soon as possible.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will travel to Europe to call on allies to end the conflict as quickly as possible at a meeting of the Ukraine Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base on February 12, but for the first time, it will be chaired by London, not Washington.
Hegseth intends to reaffirm Donald Trump's desire for a diplomatic solution to the situation as soon as possible and to emphasize that Europe must take a leading role in supporting Kiev.

РЕАЛЬНОСТЬ:
Без SIM-карты у вас нет доступа ни к мобильному интернету, ни ко многим базовым сервисам, на которые туристы и бизнесмены полагаются ежедневно.
Онлайн-бронирования? Забудьте. Платежи? Только наличные, ведь иностранные платежные системы больше не работают.
Это приводит к следующим ситуациям:
❌ Нет интернета: Даже бесплатные Wi-Fi-сети, включая гостиничные, требуют российский номер телефона.
❌ Нет навигации: Построить маршрут до встречи или воспользоваться переводчиком? Вызвать такси? Звучит слишком роскошно.
❌ Только наличные: Платить за покупки, отели и такси придётся купюрами. А если у вас только 5000 рублей? Таксисту лучше объяснить ситуацию до поездки – если он вас, конечно, поймёт.
🔸 В ролике двое иностранцев из Германии и Италии по новому порядку тщетно пытаются купить сим-карту в центре Москвы, становясь жертвами бюрократической игры в пинг-понг между офисами сотовой связи, МФЦ, туристическим информационным центром и банком.
❗️ Самая большая преграда:
Получение SIM-карты требует биометрической аутентификации, для которой необходимы базовые знания русского языка. Для тех, кто не говорит по-русски, это превращается в настоящий квест.
ПРОЦЕСС – шаг за шагом:
1. Въехать в Россию.
2. Оплатить такси и отель наличными (Добро пожаловать в 2000-е годы!).
3. Найти переводчика – перевести ваш паспорт на русский.
4. Заверить перевод у нотариуса.
5. Посетить МФЦ – получить СНИЛС. (Процесс занимает 1–5 дней, а внесение данных в систему может занять до 2 недель.)
6. Посетить МФЦ – Создать и верифицировать учётную запись на Госуслугах. Установить приложение Госуслуг. (1-3 часов)
7. Сходить в банк – пройти биометрическую аутентификацию (учите русский!).
8. Купить SIM-карту – по специальным тарифам для иностранцев.
9. Открыть банковский счёт – (этот шаг займёт всего 25 минут).
10. Наконец почувствовать себя человеком!
ПОСЛЕДСТВИЯ:
- Потеря времени: Туристам стоит добавить к своим планам как минимум неделю, чтобы успеть пройти все этапы бюрократии.
- Неопределённость: Потеря SIM-карты может заблокировать доступ к банковскому счёту.
- Упадок туризма: Индивидуальный туризм из стран с высоким уровнем дохода становится почти невозможным.
ПОЧЕМУ ЗАКОН НЕ ПОМОГАЕТ:
Тем не менее это не мешает средь бела дня купить полулегальные сим-карты зарегистрированные на компанию, без предоставления удостоверения личности в аэропорту (Конец ролика) - из чего мы получаем неподконтрольные криминальные элементы и убитый туризм и бизнес от иностранных инвесторов.
ИДЕЯ:
Стоит обратить внимание на опыт других стран, таких как Дубай, ОАЭ, где успешно справляются с подобными задачами, не теряя при этом ни туристов, ни деловые контакты. Ведь безопасность и комфорт вполне можно сочетать.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to international organizations in Vienna, confirmed that former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has arrived in Moscow.
"Bashar al-Assad and his family are in Moscow," the diplomat wrote on his Telegram channel.

The document was supported by 116 countries, while 54 countries voted against it. Representatives from 11 countries abstained from voting.

Friends, in a few days the U.S. elections will finalize and we will know how things will look for the next four years. Recently we discussed with XF how Trump is kind of a wild card and who knows if he will be able to get anything done or will even try to accomplish half of the things he promises, but as a now "single issue voter who cannot vote because I live in Russia" I can say this. There seems to be a really broad spread belief that if Trump wins, support for the war in Ukraine will reach a breaking point and this nightmare will be over soon. If a Trump terror wave causes panic resulting in the war ending faster and less people dying then that is wonderful.
But if Kamala wins, life in Russia will be fine, but it'll be another four years of tension, threatening WWIII, witch-hunting everything even remotely related to Russia and so on. Since English will always be my native language this shit will never be out of my mind giving me peace.
For reasons that are hard to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the Democrats see Russia as enemy number one with Iran or China being distant non-urgent problems.
From a Russian standpoint Trump is running on "hope and change", and well Kamala is the status quo.
Let me remind you, that if Washington gave up on the "global hegemon" status, there would be NOTHING to fight over, absolutely nothing.
