Padre Matteo La Grua è stato un instancabile esorcista egli diceva:
Non perdiamo mai la calma quando le cose vanno male in famiglia, o quando abbiamo delle avversità, ma piuttosto benediciamo il Signore.
Anche Giobbe benediceva il Signore e anche Tobia, provato, benediceva il Signore.
E allora vogliamo benedire il Signore, a prescindere dal bene o dal male che riceviamo, ossia del nostro giudizio su quello che viviamo: benediciamo sempre il Signore, perché la benedizione di Dio deve risonare sempre sulla nostra bocca.
Del resto, sappiamo che la preghiera, soprattutto la preghiera di lode, è il miglior antidoto contro le forze del male.

Più le cose dovessero andar male, più dovremmo benedire Dio e le cose si aggiusteranno, le cose si riequilibreranno; perché nella preghiera di lode i Cieli si aprono, il Signore scende, gli Angeli vengono e dove c'è il Signore che viene, gli Angeli che lodano con noi, tutto è equilibrio, tutto è pace e non ci può essere presenza delle forze del male.
Vogliamo lodare Dio, benedire Dio e non guardiamo mai a noi una volta che siamo in preghiera, non guardiamo ai nostri mali, non lamentiamoci di noi e neanche guardiamo ai nostri peccati. Sappiamo che ce ne sono tanti, ma guardiamo Dio, guardiamo Dio e la misericordia di Dio: non perché non siamo coscienti dei nostri peccati, ma perché in quella lode vogliamo riparare alle nostre infedeltà verso Dio, perché attraverso la lode vogliamo chiedere perdono, attraverso la lode vogliamo chiedere aiuto al Signore, per rimanere sempre nella Sua lode, rimanere sempre nella Sua Volontà.
E allora cantiamo al Signore, benediciamo il Signore sempre, in attesa della Sua Parola, perché questa è la preghiera carismatica.
Lodare Dio, lodarlo sempre, attendendo la Sua Parola.
Non sappiamo che Parola ci darà il Signore durante la preghiera, se una Parola di rimprovero, una Parola di ammonimento, una Parola di gioia, una Parola di incitamento: non lo sappiamo..
La sua Parola è verita e vita

La tristezza è l’arma di satana! Ecco ciò che scrive San Francesco di Sales nella Filotea:
“Il maligno gode nella tristezza e nella malinconia, perché lui stesso è, e lo sarà per l’eternità, triste e malinconico, separato da Dio per sempre; per cui vorrebbe che tutti fossero così. La cattiva tristezza turba l’anima, la mette in agitazione, le dà paure immotivate, genera disgusto per l’orazione, assopisce e opprime il cervello, priva l’anima di consiglio, di proposito, di senno, di coraggio e fiacca le forze. In conclusione,è come un duro inverno che cancella tutta la bellezza della terra e manda in letargo gli animali; infatti la tristezza toglie ogni bellezza all’anima e la rende quasi paralizzata e impotente in tutte le sue facoltà. Il nemico si serve della tristezza per portare le sue tentazioni contro i buoni; da un lato cerca di rendere allegri i peccatori nei loro peccati, e dall’altro cerca di rendere tristi i buoni nelle loro opere buone; e come non gli riuscirebbe di attrarre al male se non presentandolo in modo piacevole,cosi non potrebbe distogliere dal bene se non facendolo trovare sgradevole…..

Nella Sacra Scrittura si legge: "Pregate e il diavolo fuggirà da voi!"

Ciò che caratterizza i demoni è il loro orgoglio smisurato. Lo stesso orgoglio che la frase biblica "non serviam" ("non servirò") ha identificato con l’atteggiamento di Lucifero e che sussiste in tutti i suoi sottoposti. Condividendo la natura angelica, essi possiedono una conoscenza superiore all'intelligenza umana. Questa superiorità scatena in loro una vanità e un narcisismo senza limiti quando si tratta di occuparsi degli affari umani.
Pur essendo di natura superiore, non possiedono la sapienza perché non possono ricevere la Grazia Divina. Così, l'esorcista esperto - sempre contando sul Potere di Dio - può spesso manipolarli per indurli ad andarsene o ad assumere comportamenti autodistruttivi. Mons. Rossetti fornisce molti esempi di questa capacità.
Nessuna "magia bianca" o "streghe buone"

"Usare cristalli per allontanare i demoni, lanciare incantesimi o invocare guarigioni occulte ricade chiaramente sotto la proibizione [a cui accenna il Catechismo della Chiesa Cattolica n° 2116-2117]. Questo è un comportamento peccaminoso e occulto che crea un'apertura per i demoni".
Qualsiasi forma di spiritualità non saldamente radicata nel cattolicesimo fornisce a Satana un invito ad entrare nella vita di una persona. Sometimes they are presented as mere "self-discovery" paths. Such appearances are misleading and dangerous. " Using crystals to drive away demons, cast spells or invoke occult healings falls clearly under the prohibition [mentioned in the Catechism of the Catholic Church no. 2116-2117].

Even relatively minor sins can limit our own effectiveness against the devil. Mons. Rossetti recounts an unexpectedly strong physical attack he received from a possessed person. The sudden attack made him lose his temper. From that moment on, the demons did not answer Mgr. Rossetti’s prayers. He then acknowledged his mistake. " I interrupted the session, went into the other room with one of the priests and confessed my sin of losing my temper. The other priest absolved me and we returned to the session. The demons began to react again to my prayers".

When the cage of the body opens, the soul, like a bird, throws itself towards what it loved. When our body dies, we fly out either to the eternity of God’s love or to the eternity of God’s hatred.
It takes a second to make a man lose a leg; but once lost, it is lost forever. Throughout life we may commit mortal sin; but once committed and unforgiven, Paradise is lost forever.
God is certainly a loving father and receives the prodigal son with open arms, but only under one condition: that he returns repentant.
