The argument that Spain have for selecting Pau Cubarsí ahead of Iñigo Martínez is that coach de la Fuente is working with le Normand and Laporte as the starters and Dani Vivian as third option, and he is testing youngsters ahead of the 2026 World Cup when Iñigo will be 34 years old.
