Mother likes to call me on my birthday to ask why I haven’t called yet to thank her for giving birth to me. She also likes to recount the birth story of each child once a year. Now that I’ve had children of my own I understand where she’s coming from. It’s no small miracle getting children here. This labor lasted a few days and contractions really escalated while I was driving an hour from home. Don’t contract and drive. Luckily, I made it home just in time before baby arrived in the quiet of my bedroom. We are well. Baby is thriving. The kids love having her here. And so do Daniel and I 🤍
