Natural disasters serve as more than just environmental warnings; they are messages, signs, and wake-up calls. Allah (swt), in His infinite wisdom, has His own ways of reminding humanity of its limits. The Qur’an repeatedly calls upon mankind to reflect on the signs around them:

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient” (Qur’an, 2:155).

Are the fires in Los Angeles not a form of such a test? Is the destruction of nature not a call for humanity to reassess its actions? While technological advancements and economic prosperity may give a sense of control, they are extremely feeble in the face of Allah’s power.

The juxtaposition of Gaza’s devastation with the recurring natural disasters in the United States highlights a stark reality: the oppression of one group and the suffering of another are not isolated phenomena. They are interconnected in a way that transcends human understanding. When a society prioritizes power, wealth, and domination over justice, compassion, and humility, the consequences are far-reaching.

California’s unparalleled wealth could rebuild its infrastructure after every disaster. But wealth alone cannot shield a nation from the wrath of nature or the judgment of The Almighty. It is a humbling reminder that even the mightiest civilizations are subject to forces beyond their control.

As wildfires engulf Los Angeles and natural disasters continue to strike across the United States, it is time for reflection. These events are not merely environmental or political; they are deeply spiritual. They remind us that no empire, no matter how powerful, can escape the consequences of its actions.

The United States, with its towering economy and global influence, must recognize that true greatness lies not in its GDP or military might but in its adherence to justice and humility before Allah (swt). Only by acknowledging these deeper truths can humanity hope to navigate the challenges of this world and prepare for what lies beyond.

According to the L.A. Times [Los Angeles’ local newspaper], the estimated loss that Los Angeles is currently facing stands at/and may surpass $50 billion.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all the innocent people who have lost their homes, properties, and valuables in this devastating wildfire. At the same time, it is an opportunity for each and every one of us to pause, reflect, and deeply ponder the lessons embedded within such events. It’s not a mere coincidence.

Truly, there is no power greater than Allah (swt)’s. Always remember this.

May Allah (swt) guide us to understand His signs and act upon them with sincerity and wisdom.

LOS ANGELES | WILDFIRE

A Reflection on Natural Disasters and Global Injustice:

As Los Angeles battles a catastrophic wildfire, one cannot help but reflect on the broader patterns of devastation that seem to define the modern era. From earthquakes and tornadoes to unyielding wildfires, the United States has faced a growing wave of natural disasters over the course of time especially in recent years. These events not only test the fortitude of one of the world’s most powerful nations but also challenge us to consider deeper truths about the world we inhabit.

California, the state that houses Los Angeles, is more than just another region in the United States. As of December 2024, California’s GDP stands at a staggering $4.1 trillion, making it the fifth-largest economy in the world. It surpasses many sovereign nations in economic output and is a hub for innovation, the entertainment industry, and global businesses. Yet, despite its wealth and status, California [and by extension, the United States] has proven that even the mightiest of empires are vulnerable when confronted with the forces of nature.

The image of Los Angeles burning is stark. It is a city synonymous with glamour, technology, and influence. Home to Hollywood, it shapes global narratives and exports culture worldwide. However, its opulence is no match for the raging fires that consume it. This paradox serves as a reminder of the inherent fragility of human constructs when pitted against the might of natural phenomena.

While policymakers and scientists may attribute such disasters to climate change and urban expansion, it is worth contemplating a deeper dimension: the moral and spiritual underpinnings of such events. For believers, these disasters are not merely random acts of nature but are interwoven with divine wisdom — the great power of Allah Almighty.

Contrast this with Gaza — a strip of land that has endured unimaginable suffering due to political and military strategies devised by global powers. Think tanks and policymakers, often operating with impunity, have contributed to the destruction of lives and livelihoods in this region [Middle East]. Entire generations have grown up under siege, facing a relentless barrage of bombs, blockades, and deprivation. An unimaginably painful tragedy.

The same nations that champion human rights and democracy often remain silent or complicit when it comes to the suffering of the Palestinian people. This hypocrisy raises an uncomfortable question: can a nation claim moral high ground while ignoring or perpetuating injustice abroad?

As the United States grapples with its natural disasters, one cannot ignore the symbolic parallels. Brothers and sisters, for every forest consumed by fire and every home reduced to rubble, there exists a haunting reminder that the oppression inflicted elsewhere in the world does not go unnoticed by the Creator.

O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad, the son of ‘Ali, the son of Musa,
the emblem of piety, the light of guidance, the fountain of loyalty,
the branch of purity, the successor of the chosen ones,
and Your trustee over Your revelation.

O Allah! Just as You guided through him those who were astray,
rescued through him those who were in confusion,
directed through him those who sought guidance,
and purified through him those who sought purification,
then send blessings upon him with the best of what You have sent upon any of Your close ones
and the remainder of Your chosen successors.
Surely, You are Mighty and Wise.

The Foundations Of A Peaceful & Fulfilling Life —

“People are in need of three things: security, justice, and welfare.”

— Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq (a.s)
[Bihar Ul Anwar, Volume 75, Page 234]

People need to feel safe and free from danger. This includes physical safety, like being protected from harm or violence, and emotional safety, like living without constant fear or worry. People need security in their homes, communities, and countries to feel stable and focus on their lives, work, and relationships.

Justice is another extremely necessity for humans. Which means being treated fairly and equally. Justice ensures that everyone has the same rights and is not wronged or oppressed. Which also means holding people accountable for their actions, rewarding good behavior, and correcting wrongdoing. When there is justice, people feel respected and trust that their society values fairness.

People are also in need of welfare. Which means, having the basic things needed for a good life. This includes food, clean water, shelter, education, and healthcare. Welfare ensures that people are supported when they face difficulties, like losing a job or falling ill. It allows individuals to live with dignity and provides opportunities for them to improve their lives.

When security, justice, and welfare are present, people can live in harmony and reach their full potential. These three are the foundation of a strong, caring, and successful community; society.

When these three are not present within a society, then it damages the societies. It causes many problems and harms everyone.

Without security people don’t feel safe. When people don’t feel safe, they live in fear. They worry about violence, theft, or harm, which makes it hard to focus on work, education, or relationships. Communities become unstable, and people lose trust in each other. Fear can lead to chaos, and people might start to fight or protect themselves in harmful ways.

Justice— If there is no fairness, people feel oppressed or treated unfairly. The powerful may take advantage of others, and the weak may feel helpless. This causes anger, mistrust, and division between people. When there is no justice, problems are not solved fairly, and this can lead to conflict, rebellion, or even violence.

Without welfare; without basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare, people suffer. Poverty and hunger increase, and many cannot live a decent life. When people are struggling to survive, they lose hope and might turn to crime or harmful behaviors just to get by. This weakens the society as a whole, making it harder for anyone to succeed.

When these three are missing, the entire society becomes weak and divided. People stop trusting each other and the leaders. Fear, injustice, and poverty create more problems, like crime, violence, and unrest. Instead of growing and improving, the society falls apart, making life hard for everyone.

To build a strong, peaceful, and successful society, security, justice, and welfare are necessary for everyone.

Winter’s Silence & Imam Al Mahdi (a.s)’s Absence —

The stillness of winter nights reminds us of Imam Al Mahdi (a.s)’s absence — a quiet longing that fills the soul. Just as the cold of winter makes us yearn for the warmth of spring, his (a.s) absence makes us deeply yearn for his presence…

The world seems incomplete, waiting for the one who will bring light and justice. In this silence, we reflect on our hope, our love, and our prayers for the day he will return and fill the world with peace and warmth.

UPS & DOWNS ARE PART OF LIFE, NEITHER BE ARROGANT NOR DESPAIR

The Resistance Front should neither become #arrogant from their victories nor #despair from their defeats.

Victory and defeat are inevitable.

The personal lives of individuals are the same: there is #success and #failure. The lives of groups are the same: there is success and failure.

One day a movement is in power and another day it is out of power. This applies to governments and countries as well.

#Life has its ups and downs and we cannot avoid this.

What is necessary is that when we are on the #rise, we should not become arrogant, because arrogance brings #ignorance and makes a person negligent.

When we face a downturn or a failure, we should not become depressed, hopeless, or #heartbroken.

The Wounds Of Fatimah (s.a)’s Heart —

The pages of history are soaked in the tears of Lady Fatimah (s.a), the beloved daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (s), the wife of Imam Ali (a.s) and the mother of Imam Hasan (a.s), Imam Hussain (a.s), Sayyida Zainab (s.a) & Umm Kulthum (s.a). Her heart bore wounds so deep that no words can fully encapsulate her anguish. She was a mother who carried not just the weight of her children’s futures, her progeny’s futures, but the destiny of an entire Ummah.

Lady Fatimah (s.a) witnessed the unfolding tragedy of betrayal and oppression even during the Prophet’s lifetime. The seeds of tyranny were sown before her eyes, and she foresaw the immense trials her Imam, Ali (a.s) would face, as well as her sons would face. How could a lover’s heart, a noble servant’s heart remain at ease knowing, that her Imam of time, Ali (a.s), will be brutally martyred after her martyrdom? How could a mother’s heart remain at ease, knowing, that the two lights of her life, Hasan (a.s) and Hussain (a.s), would one day stand against a tide of injustice so vast that it would drown the moral compass of the Muslim nation?

Her pain began with the aftermath of the Prophet (s)’s martyrdom. The sanctity of her home was violated, her Imam’s rights were usurped, her rights were usurped, and her pleas were met with deaf ears, blind hearts and darkened souls. These were not just personal affronts; they were assaults on the very essence of justice and truth. Through it all, she held her sons close, her daughters close; nurturing them with the love, wisdom, and courage they would need to bear the responsibilities that lay ahead.

Yet, as much as she prepared them, Lady Fatimah (s.a) knew the cost they would pay. She knew Imam Hasan (a.s) would endure betrayal and poisoning, and she foresaw the tragic day when Imam Hussain (a.s) would stand alone on the plains of Karbala, surrounded by lifeless bodies, including those of her grandchildren. She well knew of all the calamities her daughters would undergo. Imagine the torment of a mother who not only sees the future of her children but also knows the pain they will endure for the sake of Allah’s cause?

Lady Fatimah (s.a)’s wounded heart bled not just for her children but for the entire Ummah that failed to uphold justice. Her pain is a mirror reflecting the consequences of turning away from divine guidance. Today, as we remember her, during Ayam e Fatimiyya, we must ask ourselves:

Have we heeded her sacrifices? Have we embraced the values she entrusted to us through her children, the protectors of Islam?

The wounds of Lady Fatimah (s.a) are not confined to history; they are a call to action for every believer. They remind us to stand against tyranny, uphold justice, and honor the teachings of her father, her husband and her sons, Imam Hasan (a.s) and Imam Hussain (a.s) as well as the Imams (a.s) after them. Her heartache is a reflection of her unparalleled strength, her unwavering faith, and her enduring hope that her sacrifices would awaken the sleeping hearts of the believers.

May we never forget the pain of Lady Fatimah (s.a) and may we strive to live lives that honor her sacrifice and bring solace to her wounded heart

Salaam Ya Fatimah (s.a)!

Du’a Jawshan Sagheer

A heartfelt cry of the oppressed against the oppressors, this powerful supplication is known for its significant impact in confronting tyranny and overthrowing oppressors.

Du’a Jawshan Sagheer is narrated on the authority of Imam Musa Al Kadhim (a.s), peace be upon him. Sayyid Ibn Tawus, in his renowned book Muhaj al-Da’awat, has transmitted this Du’a from four sources. It is mentioned that Imam Musa Al Kadhim (a.s.) would recite this supplication when he became aware of plots by the Abbasid caliph to kill him.

This Du’a is not only a reflection of the Imam’s steadfast reliance on Allah (swt) in the face of oppression but also a powerful tool for believers seeking divine aid against tyranny and injustice.

There are people you love that you haven't spoken to in a long time. Call them, even if there isn't anything to talk about. Tell them you love them.

Appreciate your youth, middle age, old age, whatever stage you're at. You'll never have it again. Not only because of the death that is promised to us all, but also because we live in a mad, mad world that is moving so fast you won't be able to keep up with the ever-changing rules.

As we navigate this war and anticipate the coming, certain victory - we also come face to face with the psychological aftermath of all the loved lives that have been lost as we return to the fundamental question we spend our lives trying to answer;

what is the true meaning of this life?

Imam Hussain (a.s) Was [Brutally] Killed For The Recognition Of The Imamate —

Imam Hussain (a.s) was martyred in Karbala for the recognition and preservation of the divine institution of Imamate. His sacrifice was not a mere ‘political stance’ or ‘personal grievance;’ it was a monumental act to uphold the truth of Allah’s guidance and protect the essence of Islam from distortion.

The Imamate, as ordained by Allah (swt), is a continuation of the Prophetic mission — a source of divine guidance for humanity. After Prophet Muhammad (s), the leadership of the Muslim Ummah was to remain within the purified household of Ahlulbayt (a.s). However, this divine authority was rejected and challenged by worldly powers seeking to replace it with corrupt leadership, distorting the core teachings of Islam.

Imam Hussain (a.s) stood firmly against Yazid (l.a), a tyrannical ruler who embodied the complete antithesis of Islamic values. Yazid’s reign not only denied the rightful Imamate but also threatened to destroy the moral and spiritual integrity of Islam. By refusing to pledge allegiance to him, Imam Hussain (a.s) made it clear that the divine truth was non-negotiable, even at the cost of his life.

His (a.s) martyrdom was a timeless declaration that the Imamate is not merely a title or position but a divinely appointed trust that upholds justice, preserves the purity of faith, and serves as the guide for humanity. Through his ultimate sacrifice, Imam Hussain (a.s) ensured that the distinction between rightful divine leadership and oppressive worldly rule would remain clear for all generations.

May Allah (swt) guide us all and grant us the tawfeeq to embrace the teachings of the Holy Prophet (s) and the A’immah (a.s). May we take valuable lessons from the immense sacrifices of Imam Hussain (a.s) and, inspired by his stand, rush to the side of the Hussain of our time, Imam Al Mahdi (a.s). Let us strive to align our lives with their (a.s) teachings and work toward the fulfillment of their divine mission.

Imam Ali عليه ااسلام said,

“All goodness is in three actions: sight, silence, and speech. Every sight that is devoid of consideration is negligence. Every silence that is devoid of thought is heedlessness. Every speech that is devoid of the remembrance [of Allah] is prattle. Blessed is he in whose sight is consideration, and in whose silence is thought, and in whose words is remembrance – who cries over his mistakes and from whose evil the people are safe.”

Umar Ibn Khattab [the 2nd Caliph to Non Shi’a Muslims]’s Letter to Muawiya Abi Sufyan (la) —

Two hands came out from behind the door to stop me from entering the house, however, I pushed back the hands and then pushed the door with force, while striking at her hands with the whip, so that she would let go of the door. She wailed and wept due to the intense pain of the whip and her weeping was such a heart-rendering scream that it was as if my heart was going to melt and I almost retreated.

Suddenly, I recalled the envy and avarice (extreme greed) which I had towards Ali because he was the one that shed the blood of the eminent Quraysh apostates and thus, I kicked at the door, I heard the cry of Fatimah and thought that this cry would topple the entire city of Medina. In this state, Fatimah called out: ‘O’ Father! O’ Prophet of Allah! How do they treat your beloved and your daughter! O’ Fidha! Hasten to my aid, for by Allah, the child in my womb has been killed.’

I presumed that Fatimah had stood with her back to the wall due to the extreme pain of labour and at this point, I pushed at the door with intense force and the door opened. When I entered therein, Fatimah came and stood in front of me but my intense anger had overwhelmed me as if a veil was cast before my eyes. In this state, I slapped her on her face, striking her veil, and she fell to the ground.’

Her pain intensified, she entered her room and miscarried her child that Ali had named Muhsin. I had gathered many people to outnumber Ali, we circled hum and dragged him forcefully to get his allegiance.

Muaiwya (la), is the same person who waged war againt Imam Ali (a.s), waged war against Imam Hasan (a.s), poisoned Imam Hasan (a.s) and waged war against Imam Hussain (a.s); appointed his son, Yazid (la) and is responsible for the tragedies of Karbala.

Umar Ibn Khattab is a ‘holy’ personality to non Shi’a Muslims and is widely loved and appreciated by them. Non Shi’a Muslims refer to him as their ‘Caliph’. Umar Ibn Khattab is the same person, alongside AbuBakr, who usurped the rights of Imams amidst paying allegiance to Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s) on Ghadir and accepted him as his mawla, Imam and successor of Prophet Muhammad (s). But after Prophet (s)’s demise, each of these people stabbed Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s). What a pity, that Muslims till present day, turn a blind eye to these facts. How are we planning on facing Prophet Muhammad (s), how are we planning on answering to Allah (swt) is something we all should ask ourselves.

Du’a Al Faraj Recited By Martyr Mohsen Hojaji —

[1:39 mins]

Brothers and sisters, the purity of a martyr’s heart shines in their courage and sincerity. Their hearts are unclouded by fear, and they stand firm, defending ideals that uplift humanity. This purity is what elevates their sacrifice into something timeless; their memory becomes a guiding light, reminding us of the strength found in resolute faith and integrity.

As they depart from this world and enter the realm of Barzakh, martyrs leave behind a message for us all that echoes through generations: a reminder of the beauty of a heart devoted solely to higher principles. Their sacrifice purifies not only themselves but also inspires those left behind in this world to strive for goodness, to be courageous, and to seek purity in purpose. Their loss [of separation from loved ones] is immense, but their spirit endures, lighting the way for all who seek to follow in their noble footsteps…

May Allah (swt) grant us the tawfeeq to truly understand our purpose in this world. May we make the most of the time we have been blessed with, the time we have been gifted with, dedicating it to the path of Allah Almighty.

Attention to Detail in Faith But What About Leadership?

“Bukhari & Muslim (the most important Sunni scholars) narrate the Prophet taught to brush our tongues from top to bottom rather than from side to side. He left instructions on the direction of the brushing (!!) but left his succession & legacy up for grabs?!

Seriously?”

— Sayed M. Modarresi

The meticulous attention given to daily practices in Islam, even down to the Prophet (s)’s guidance on the direction of brushing one’s tongue, is striking. This attention reflects a commitment to thoroughness in every aspect of life, including personal hygiene, to cultivate discipline and mindfulness. Yet, it raises a critical question:

How could a Prophet (s) so attentive to detail leave something as important as his succession open to ambiguity?

Bukhari and Muslim, two of the most esteemed Sunni scholars, recorded many narrations on everyday actions to ensure Muslims could follow the Prophet’s example in their daily lives. However, if matters like brushing one’s tongue were seen as worthy of specific guidance, one might expect even more clarity on the leadership of the community after his departure. This paradox is thought-provoking:

if guidance was offered on minor aspects of practice, how could the leadership — the foundation for guiding the faith’s direction — be left uncertain?

This question invites deeper reflection on how we understand and interpret the Prophet’s legacy. It calls us to consider the significance of leadership within the faith, particularly as it impacts unity, governance, and the preservation of values. In a tradition where every detail seems purposeful, perhaps this seemingly unresolved issue is meant to push us to seek clarity, unity, and purpose in our understanding of the Prophet’s mission.

Preparing for Imam Al Mahdi ع & His Revolution —

A person who is weak spiritually and theologically is less likely to accept the actions of the Imam (a.s) and may actually begin to doubt his leadership when he does reappear. That is why it is essential to develop one’s spirituality and understanding in creed, because it makes an individual strong in facing the hardships, challenges, and ridicule during the time of occultation. Those who have not developed such a foundation may be weak and prone to lose hope in the Imam (a.s). Such a person may even doubt the reappearance of the Imam (a.s) and misconceptions may begin to take a toll on his heart.

‘Not Being Tied Down To This World And Material Attachments’

To be effective in preparing for the Imam (a.s), we need to avoid being attached to the world and materialism. These things could be a cause for our drift from the cause of the Imam (a.s). He will come to create the greatest reform witnessed by mankind – we need to be ready to support that with all our time and resources. Having unhealthy attachments to money, entertainment, family, children, and affluence are obstacles in joining the Imam (a.s)’s movement.

“The best of people in the sight of God is he who likes to act according to what is right, even if it brings him loss and misery, more than what is wrong, even if it brings him profit and increase of wealth."

— Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.s)
[Source: Nahj Al Balagha, Sermon 125]

Always bear in mind that in God’s view, the most honorable person is the one who chooses to do what is right and just, even if it leads to personal loss or hardship. Such a person values integrity and moral principles over material gain or comfort. Remember that goodness lies in prioritizing righteousness over self-interest, as spiritual worth is far greater than worldly success.

The Fires We Ignite In This World —

“To know your fire in the afterlife, see how many hearts you burned in your worldly life.”

— Ayatullah Khomeini (r.a)

The pain we cause others in this world mirrors the suffering we might face in the afterlife. We must remind ourselves and be mindful of our actions, particularly how we treat others, because the harm or heartache we inflict on people could become our own ‘fire’ later. The state of our souls in the hereafter will be shaped by the way we impact others’ lives now, in this world.

The Lesson of the Eagle and the Crow

The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the crow. The crow sits on the eagles back and bites his neck. The eagle does not respond, nor fight with the crow; it does not spend time or energy on the crow instead he just opens its wings and begins to rise higher in the heavens. The higher the flight, the harder it is for the crow to breathe and eventually the crow falls off due to a lack of oxygen.

Learn from the eagle and don't fight the crows, just keep ascending. They might be along for the ride but they'll soon fall off. Do not allow yourself to succumb to the distractions....keep your focus on the things above, keep learning, growing and continue rising!

Salaamun ‘Alykum Respected Brothers and Sisters,

Insha’Allah, you and your loved ones are in the best of health and Imaan.

We would like to begin by extending our heartfelt congratulations to Lady Narjis (س) on the Wiladat anniversary of her beloved husband; to Imam Al Mahdi (ع), and to all the lovers of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the A’immah (ع) around the world, on the joyous occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi Ibn Hasan (ع)’s father, Imam Hasan Al Askari (ع). We sincerely pray to Allah (swt) to hasten the reappearance of his beloved son for the sake of this great man who, though his life was brief, fulfilled his duty remarkably in raising Imam Mahdi (ع) during the precious few years he had before his martyrdom.

On this note, we’d like to inform you that the channel will be inactive for two weeks. Life permitting, we will return after this period with fresh, even more inspiring content — Insha’Allah. Rest assured, should any of our team members depart from this world during this time, the mission will still continue, and the flag of service will be passed on to the next person in line. People may leave this world, but the movement endures.

In the meantime, feel free to browse the channel and revisit the content we’ve shared. You are also welcome to engage in discussions within the group and/or share posts. Some of the admins will still be around to monitor and assist you, Insha’Allah, to the best of their ability.

We wish you all the best, always. We hope and pray that the coming days erase your worries and bring the joy of the Promised Saviour into all our lives.

Please keep us in your Du’as, and know that you will remain in ours, throughout.

‎اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّـدٍ و آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ

“Where is the one demanding,
the blood of the one murdered in Karbala…?

Oh crescent moon,
absent from every eye

and a bright light
in both heartbeats

Get up and call,
‘Oh the avenger of Hussain (a.s)’

Oh the avenger of slaughter,
and the gray hair…“

A Brave Warrior Like No Other

With such bravery and valor,
for which the history of the brave men of the world has not found any equal, Ali (a.s) was extremely compassionate, kind, generous, and magnanimous. In the battles, he never killed women, children, and the weak. Ali (a.s) did not take anyone as a captive and did not pursue those who ran away.

In the Battle of Siffin, the army of Mu'awiyah (l.a) took a lead, occupied the canal of Euphrates, and banned the water on Ali (a.s). Later, after a bloody battle, Ali (a.s) occupied the water canal. Then he issued orders allowing the enemy to take water.

A Message For Sisters From A Martyred Brother —

My will to you is:

“If you decide to go out wearing a westernized hijab, remember that you are making the Imam (a.s) of your time cry and you are betraying the blood of the martyrs that defended hijab.

Remember that you are contributing and helping the West in their soft war against hijab.

Remember that you are giving the wrong image of the modest hijab of Sayyida Fatimah (s.a).”

2 Bad Traits To Avoid According To Imam Hasan Al Askari (a.s) —

Imam Hasan al-Askari (a.s) is reported to have said:

“Beware of spreading information about people and seeking leadership, for these two call you toward destruction."
