I was among a tiny group of people in Britain who tried to set up a Congo solidarity campaign more than 20 years ago.

The so-called 'antiwar movement', trade unions and the rest of the left was patently uninterested. The Congolese comrade on whom we relied for information was locked up in Belmarsh and then deported.

Nobody wanted to know about the 'Playstation wars' devastating Congo to fuel the gaming boom with necessary minerals, in particular Coltan. War to control the looting of Congo's resources continues to this day. 15 million are dead. 7 million more have been displaced. 5 million women and girls have been raped.

Tens of thousands of protesters took part in a nationwide strike in Belgium on January 13, 2025, protesting against proposed pension reforms amid protracted negotiations to form a government.
The reforms include raising the retirement age to 67 by 2030, requiring 30 years of work to qualify for a minimum pension, introducing a pension bonus to encourage longer participation in the workforce, and bringing civil servant pensions in line with the private sector to address "fiscal concerns" and secure EU funds.
Demonstrators marched through Brussels, the strike disrupted air travel as almost half of all flights at Brussels airport were cancelled due to striking ground staff.

For example, EU leadership has long lost the right to speak on behalf of many members including Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania and several other countries which are interested in ensuring stability in Europe and have adopted a balanced position towards Russia.

The whole world stands frozen in uneasy anticipation, waiting for the results of the presidential election in the distant land of 'Us.

There is no reason why we should have high expectations about it.

1. The outcome of the election will not change anything for Russia, as both candidates share the same bipartisan consensus that ‘Russia must be defeated’.

2. Kamala is dumb, inexperienced, and easy to control, as she will be terrified of everyone around her. All the real decision-making will be done by a coterie of top ministers and advisors plus (indirectly) the Obamas.

3. A low-energy Trump, spewing clichés like “I'll offer them a deal” and “I have a very good relationship with...”, will be forced to comply with the system and its rules. He won't stop the war. Not in one day, not in three days, not in three months. And if he actually attempts to do it, he could end up becoming the new JFK.

4. The only thing that matters is how much cash the new POTUS can squeeze out of Congress to finance someone else's war, fought in a far-off land. Cash to feed the American military-industrial complex and to line the pockets of the Banderite scum in Ukraine.

5. That is why, if we want to please both candidates for the highest American office, the best thing to do on November 5 is keep pummeling the Nazi regime in Kiev!

I just read two recent articles in The Guardian, and both were dripping with racist, anti-Arab narratives—disguised in progressive language. One covered the Southport murders in a way that subtly fueled racial stereotypes, and the other was a blatant piece of propaganda focused on figures in Sudan, with horrifying rhetoric about threats of rape and impregnating UN workers with "Arab babies.’

The Guardian pretends to stand apart with it's liberal values but serves the same agenda as the right-wing media, stoking fear and division. Beneath its polished language, it promotes the same fear-mongering narratives that target working-class communities and marginalised people globally, turning real human struggles into fodder for xenophobic sensationalism.

Scratch a liberal and fascist bleeds.

This paper, which positions itself as a voice of progressivism, is no better than The Daily Mail when it comes to reinforcing racist stereotypes. We can’t let ‘progressive’ branding hide the fact that it perpetuates the same harmful systems it claims to oppose.

🚨 Ahmed Harish was abducted by the traitorous Palestinian Authority once again, marking his 15th imprisonment by them, in addition to 6 imprisonments by the IOF at just 30 years old.

He has suffered immensely due to torture in PA prisons, leaving with his knees shattered and in a wheelchair. In 2023, he was abducted by the IOF after 63 days of being chased by PA Forces, in a prime example of their security coordination.

Harish was released from zionist prisons in August 2024, after 15 months of administrative detention. He currently experiences difficult health conditions due to his detention in the occupation's prisons and the severe torture he endured in the Palestinian Authority security prisons.

His sister, journalist Asma Harish, was freed from zionist prisons at the start of this month. Their father, Nouh, was freed from zionist prisons in May. Neither was held with any charges or trial.

The budget that promised to be about "restoring Britain" and being for "working families" is, in reality, nothing of the kind.

For all the excuses made for them by the trade union leaders, nothing can hide the reality that the wage rises announced for the minimum wage amount to less than £1 an hour.

Meanwhile nothing has been done to address the chronic shortage housing caused by the sell off of council housing, our local governments hover on the edge of bankruptcy and the promised extra money for the NHS will get siphoned off by the private sector parasites who drain money out of the health service.

The only promise that Keir Starmer really takes seriously is the announcement of £3 billion a year to keep the Ukraine war going. The fact that the labour party openly boasts about how its budget was endorsed by the International Monetary Fund should tell us all we need to know. This is a budget for bankers and only for bankers. The British working class gets a small percentage of fuck all which the union leaders will tell us we must accept like beggars waiting for crumbs to fall from the rich mans table.

We will get nothing from the wretched labour party. The only solution for our class is to remove this disgusting ruling class from power, take back the land and wealth they have stolen from us and bring in a planned economy that can truly address the needs of our class. Anything less than that is not acceptable.

💬 "The test-fire is an appropriate military action that fully meets the purpose of informing the rivals, who have intentionally escalated the regional situation and posed a threat to the security of our Republic recently, of our counteraction will," North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was quoted as saying by North Korean state news agency KCNA.

He added that his country would never change its policy of bolstering its nuclear forces.

The North Korean Defense Ministry said Pyongyang had "conducted a very crucial test," adding that the launch was carried out on the orders of the leader, according to KCNA.

The test-firing updated recent records of North Korea's strategic missile capability and demonstrated the modernity and credibility of the world's most powerful strategic deterrent, the ministry added.

Earlier reports said the DPRK launched a long-range ballistic missile, presumably an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), from the Pyongyang area towards the Sea of Japan at approximately 7:10 am (22:10 GMT Wednesday). According to the Japanese government, the missile flew 1,000 kilometers at an altitude of 7,000 kilometers. Its altitude and flight duration were the highest for all launches.
