The Adab Livestreams will be on Monday from this week on until further notice insha'Allah.

The next session will explore the concept of "Cultural Capital" and drawing from the works and insights of intellectuals and Cultural critics including

• Ibn Khaldun
• Ahmed Shawqi
• Allamah Iqbal

The question of whether Muslim communities are a source of "Cultural Enrichment" in modern society and whether or not our cultural capital is a source of "Soft Power", if so - how to we use this constructively to our advantage, if not - how can we acquire and cultivate it.

Looking forward to the discussion on Monday insha'Allah.

This is why Shia nations are more active and vocal in 2024.

Palestine could tilt the axis of the Ummah towards the Shia political spectrum. Hearing some of the commentary online it appears as if we are edging towards Khomenei's grand vision to export the revolution across the Arab world.

The Arab-Persian dialectic struggle is still going strong.

I once mentioned this in passing on a livestream (Iqbal and Jinnah's perspectives on Atatürk and the abolition of the Khilapha) and it caused a stir

We can avoid the truth but we cannot eliminate it altogether. Some really startling and thought provoking ideas...

Could it be argued that Jinnah's Pakistan was the subcontinent's response to Turkiye?

Join the live in 90 minutes and let's discuss the subject of Caliphates and Modern Muslim Nations....what is a Muslim country and who is a Muslim ruler???

The importance and significance of Ibn Khaldun's Muqaddimah. Virtually all the key ideologues seeking to understand the calamitous fall of the last Caliphate had to consult Ibn Khaldun in an attempt to formulate some form of solution for the future of the Muslim world

Iqbal, Rida and Raziq are just a few immensely influential contemporary figures who grappled with this theme

Tomorrow's Live session will be on the subject of the Khilapha as a system and ideal.

We will be reading from Ibn Khaldun's Muqaddimah as a guide before discussing this very interesting theme as a group
