🚁 Meet Black Betty, Charles Hoskinson’s Black Hawk and a star of our upcoming documentary, Connecting the Disconnected.

Black Betty is a UH-60A+ Black Hawk owned by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson. She has been upgraded with modern engines, avionics, and controls. Built in the 1980s, she served in six overseas deployments—including Enduring Freedom and Desert Storm—before retiring in 2017. Acquired by Charles and named after Ram Jam’s 1977 hit, she was further modernised in 2021 and now routinely supports firefighting missions.

As an investor in, long-time friend and avid supporter of World Mobile and our mission, Charles provided Black Betty to our team in North Carolina to support our mission to connect the disconnected. For this, we are forever grateful.
