Brian Tracy, Canadian-American motivational public speaker and self-development author, discussed the 80/20 rule, also known as the Pareto Principle. 

The rule suggests that 20 percent of your activities will result in 80 percent of your work. 

*Pareto Principle* was named after its founder, the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, back in 1895. 

It means that you may have hundreds of work to complete today, which seems important to you, but there will be only 20 crucial work which will give you the maximum result.

How to use the 80/20 rule?

 Prioritize your day according to your priority. In the morning, our motivation and willpower are strong, and it should be allotted to the most important activities of yours. 

For example, my life goal is to become a novelist. In the morning after meditation, I start learning 15 vocabs and write 2000 words for my manuscript. After that, I work on my blogs.

After all the important works are done, I practice my guitar and cook food for the night.

 Our willpower depletes as the day proceeds, use it wisely.

You can use the same rule on life goals. Instead of achieving everything at the same time, focus on achieving those that matter the most.

Write down all the goals you want to achieve in life. Select only the 20% of the goals and avoid all the others at any cost. Don’t go looking for how to accomplish the rest of 80% of your goals until you achieve the first 20%.

You will see, the impact of these 20% goals will affect 80% of your life.

🚨One-Time Modification Rules for OTR Profile

1. Permitted Changes in OTR Profile: A candidate can modify the following details only once in their lifetime after OTR registration:
• (i) Name / Changed Name
• (ii) Date of Birth
• (iii) Gender
• (iv) Father’s/Mother’s/Guardian’s Name
• (v) Minority Status
• (vi) Class 10th Board Examination Roll No.
2. Time Limit for Modifications:
• These changes can be made only within 7 days from the next day after the closure of the application window of the first final application submitted for any UPSC examination.
3. Example of Deadline:
• If the candidate applies for the first time in an examination, the last date to modify the OTR Profile (Registration) will be 18.02.2025.

There is a person infamously known as Robot 2.0 (real name: Vikas Meena), who, in the process of promoting his test series, has claimed that he has been meeting UPSC Member, Lieutenant General Raj Shukla.
He has posted a photo where he can be seen sitting near Lt. Gen. Raj Shukla.
Furthermore, he claims that 50 questions from his test series will directly appear in this year’s Prelims exam and that these questions have been discussed with UPSC Members.
There are some very serious issues associated with this:
1. This tarnishes the reputation of UPSC and undermines the transparency that should exist in the paper-setting process.
2. Allegations of UPSC Members meeting coaching institute owners and so-called “insiders” (as per Robot himself) to discuss questions for the examination raise serious concerns.
3. Using the image of a UPSC Member to sell a test series calls into question the integrity of the entire process.

He posted this picture in his group called 'Discussion Group'
He deleted the picture later on.

I request the ‘messiah’ of aspirants to clarify how a conference conducted in JNU resulted in him discussing questions for prelims with one of the senior members of the Commission.

By claiming that he has discussed these ‘themes’ to give insights for the ‘High Table Group’ and ₹999 wali test series, not only is he creating doubts over the transparency and authenticity of the commission, but also making a big fat fool out of himself.

If he has an iota of an idea of how the prelims question papers are framed, he’d have known that the members hardly interfere or have any idea of the questions being framed for prelims. But the cheap-ster continues to portray himself as a demi-God who is ‘close to the circles of power’. Agar itne asaani se sawaal pata chal jaatein toh Robot bhaiyya prelims aur mains clear karke afsar ban jaate, 999 ki test series bechne ke liye photo chorne wali chindhi harkatein na karte.
This should be dealt legally in our opinion and should be noticed by UPSC.

Prelims season is when all sorts of so-called 'coaching experts' will start popping up everywhere. Be careful- almost all of these are just cashing in on the pressure and uncertainty of this phase.

Why? Because prelims guidance is an easy money-making avenue. Those people will play on the "low success rate" of prelims to convince you that you NEED their magical courses.

You’ll also see people who’ve cleared prelims 4, 5, or even 6 times suddenly turning into ‘mentors’ around this time. Please don’t fall for the hype! Stick to your trusted sources and avoid chasing every flashy new course or a shortcut promising instant video.

Most of these courses are nothing but scams in disguise. Stay focused, stay smart, and don’t waste your precious time or money!

As insects come out of their homes during seasonal change. Similarly as Prelims is approaching, 'Mentors' have came out on 'Youtube and Telegram' to guide students.

They will make lectures of 'Important Topics', 'Mapping' and 'PT365' notes and what not in the name of guidance. In the plethora of mentors it is hard to choose the right one. But in case of UPSC Prelims it is always those core subject books + Pyq.

2. Brainstorm what'll you write there- Atleast have a rough idea
3. Make online notebooks/ offline booklets- of separate sections of your DAF
4. Download interview transcripts of past years
5. ctrl+f your relevant DAF keywords and note down the dimensions of questions asked
6. See mock interviews of people getting good marks in interview
7. Do some workout/ gym/ running...- if need be!
8. Read two Newspapers + watch interviews/ podcasts of relevant speakers (Eg- S Jaishankar sir)- not masala interviews
9. Visualise yourself giving the interview- how will you introduce yourself etc
10. Practice sharpening non verbal elements of your communications
11. Form opinions on issues of current affairs- not one sided story!!
12. Use chatGPT to form potential questions- Very useful
