On Saturday, the art installation "Empty Beds" opened in New York's Little Ukraine neighborhood in Manhattan. 100-foot-long mural with photos of empty children's beds spanned across the street. It is dedicated to the thousands of Ukrainian children who have been deported or forcibly transferred by Russia.

These beds once belonged to children who were under occupation and endured Russian war crimes. Now, they are all safe in Ukraine. But thousands of other Ukrainian children remain in occupied territories or Russia, separated from their homes and families.

Photographer Phil Buehler, with Bird of Light Foundation, created this mural to tell the world about Russia's daily crimes against Ukrainian children.

Ukrainian media workers who died for freedom of speech were honored in New York.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion till 24 September 2024, Russia has committed 637 crimes against journalists in Ukraine, according to the Institute of Mass Information. 92 of media workers were killed. 14 — are missing. 29 journalists are imprisoned in Russia.

Recently, the iconic Victoria's Secret show returned to New York for the first time in six years. The event opened with a video produced by a Ukrainian team, featuring scenes of the preparations. Directed by Artem Shapirenko and edited by Mykyta Bereg, the video also included footage of a mysterious woman speeding through the streets of New York on a motorcycle.

Ukrainian swimmer Kateryna Sadurska set a new world record at the freediving competition in the "diving without fins" (CNF) discipline. The athlete dived to a depth of 80 meters.

The previous world record — 78 meters — also belonged to Kateryna.

During the championship, the Ukrainian also set a new national record — she dived 103 meters with a monofin. For comparison, the symbol of Kyiv Motherland is one meter smaller (102 m).
