Tributes to Kittur Rani Chennamma on her birth anniversary.

She bravely led a armed resistance against the British East India Company in 1824.

Since the Britishers didn't recognize her adopted son (due to Doctrine of Lapse introduced by Dalhousie).

Rani Chennamma was finally captured & imprisoned in the Bailhongal Fort, Karnataka.

She passed away on 21st February 1829.

She inspired her lieutenants Sangolli Rayanna, Amatur Balappa, and Gurusiddappa to continue the fight against Britishers.
