Important advisory on GSTR 2B and IMS
Nov 16th, 2024

1. It has been reported by few taxpayers that their GSTR-2B for October-2024 period has not been generated on 14th November, 2024. In this regard it to be informed that as per the design of IMS, GSTR-2B will not be generated by the system in below scenarios:

i. In case the taxpayer has opted for QRMP scheme (Quarterly filers), GSTR-2B will not be generated for first and second month of the quarter. Ex. For quarter Oct-Dec, 2024, the quarterly taxpayer will get GSTR-2B for December-2024 period only and not for October-2024 & November-2024.

ii. In case the taxpayer has not filed their previous period GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B will not be generated by the system. Such taxpayers need to file their pending GSTR-3B in order to generate GSTR-2B on demand. For example, if the taxpayer has not filed GSTR-3B for September-2024, their GSTR-2B for October-2024 will not be generated. Once the taxpayer files their GSTR-3B for September-2024, they will be able to generate their GSTR-2B for October-2024 by clicking Compute GSTR-2B (OCT 2024) button on the IMS dashboard.

*Clarification by GSTN on GST Portal Issues/ Errors Encountered Today*

1. *Duplicate Invoices Issue* :Some taxpayers are seeing duplicate invoices in their GSTR-2B for September and October 2024. The GSTN team is aware and working to resolve this issue. Taxpayers are advised to raise tickets if they encounter this problem.


2. *QRMP Advisory for Quarterly Filers* : As per GSTN's advisory issued on September 3, 2024, GSTR-2B for QRMP (Quarterly Return Monthly Payment) taxpayers will only be generated on a quarterly basis, not monthly (M-1 and M-2). More details are available on the GST services website.

3. *Rate-wise Invoice Details in GSTR2B Will not be Available* Rate-wise details of invoices will not be available in GSTR-2B generated via IMS (Invoice Matching System). Taxpayers should refer to GSTR-2A for rate-wise information on specific records.

एक लोहे के व्यापारी के प्रतिष्ठान पर जीएसटी विभाग के अधिकारी पहुंचे व्यापारियों से ₹200000 रूपए की अनावश्यक मांग की व्यापारी के द्वारा असमर्थता जाहिर करने पर व्यापारी पर दबाव बनाया कि किसी भी सूरत में₹200000 रुपए तो देना पड़ेंगे हमें इस महीने 85 लाख रुपए का टारगेट है इसे कैसे भी पूरा करना है व्यापारी ने जीएसटी अधिकारियों से निवेदन किया की मेरा पूरा काम एक नंबर का है एक एक रुपए का में टेक्स भरता हूं मैं किसी भी स्थिति में ₹200000 रुपए नहीं दे सकता हूं इसके बावजूद भी अधिकारियों द्वारा व्यापारियों पर अनावश्यक दबाव बनाया व्यापारी संस्थान पर अपने कपड़े उतार कर अर्धनग्न अवस्था में ऑफिस के बाहर बैठ गया कुछ समय बाद व्यापारी के द्वारा मोन तपस्या प्रारंभ कर दी गई।

जानकारी के अनुसार व्यापारी अतुल जैन लोहा मंडी गाजियाबाद से व्यापारी हैं जीएसटी डिपार्मेंट ने जब ज्यादा परेशान किया तो इन्होंने अहिंसा परमो धर्म का प्रयोग किया ।
