Starting November 20, 2024, weekly derivatives contracts for BANKNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY, and FINNIFTY will be discontinued.
Last trading dates:
BANKNIFTY: Nov 13, 2024
MIDCPNIFTY: Nov 18, 2024
FINNIFTY: Nov 19, 2024
Nifty 50 will be the only index available for weekly expiry contracts.
Starting November 20, 2024, weekly derivatives contracts for BANKNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY, and FINNIFTY will be discontinued.

SEBI raises the minimum trading amount for derivatives from 500,000 rupees to 1.5 million rupees.
SEBI limits derivatives contract expiries to one per exchange per week.
SEBI's new rules for derivatives trading will take effect on November 20.
SEBI instructs exchanges to monitor intraday position limits for equity index derivatives.
Starting February 2025, SEBI will enforce upfront collection of options premiums and increased margins.
SEBI requires an additional 2% margin for short options contracts on the day they expire.
SEBI raises the minimum trading amount for derivatives from 500,000 rupees to 1.5 million rupees.
