FLORIDA! Your legislative session doesn’t get started until March 4, 2024, but we’re already tracking several good bills supporting health freedom across the state.

SB196, filed by Senator Joe Gruters, would ensure that food that contains a vaccine or vaccine material is classified as a “drug.”

Big Pharma has been working on modifying plants to produce vaccines for many years, and we are beginning to hear of it potentially coming to a grocery store near you.

Our group in Tennessee passed legislation like this last year, and we are excited to see this filed in another state!

In order to pass a bill in the state of Florida, a bill must have a companion in both the House and the Senate. As of right now, this bill only has a Senate sponsor, so we are asking you to please email your Representative in the Florida House and ask them to sponsor this great piece of legislation.

In 1999, three years after DTP was removed from the CDC schedule, at the height of the thimerosal and Wakefield controversies, RotaShield, a rotavirus vaccine, was removed from the schedule. Sacrificed as evidence that the safety process works and to bolster public confidence in the vaccine program, RotaShield was withdrawn to protect public perception of vaccine safety in general.

Commenting on RotaShield, Dr. Paul Offit, co-inventor of Rotateq rotavirus vaccines, stated:

“We said this [RotaShield] is unsafe for American children, period, without ever defining safety. What we meant by doing it the way we did was absolute safety, which isn’t a reasonable definition. It’s a lawyer’s definition. It’s not a doctor or scientist’s definition.”

In other words, even with a significant adverse event profile, it may take years for a vaccine to be removed from the CDC schedule, if at all. Offit’s comments regarding RotaShield give insight into why shots like HPV or COVID-19 have not been taken off the market yet: absolute safety is not required.

We were your eyes and ears during the annual meeting of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) held October 23-24, 2024.

Despite this important relationship and the long-standing precedent of the inability of a minor child to enter into contracts, legislators across the country have launched a direct attack on parental rights by attempting to lower the age of consent for medical procedures – in some cases as young as eleven. Generally, children are not considered mature enough to make decisions about practices or medical interventions that could have serious health ramifications.

Parents are a child’s life-long and unbiased advocate, and the single biggest factor in a child’s long-term success. Safety cannot be traded for convenience for America’s children.

Informed consent is the cornerstone of human rights and undergirds all medical ethics. Perhaps the most recognized historical document defining informed consent is the Nuremberg Code, drafted following the atrocities of World War II.

The Nuremberg Code states that "the voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential" and that the individual should be "able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreach, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved, as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision."
‌
Individuals with sufficient capacity to make decisions regarding
medical interventions should be provided with all necessary information to make a medical decision free of any element of coercion or deceit.

‌There is a troubling trend toward less information and more coercion for maximum compliance.
