37Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 40The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
We are living in a time in these days where ministry and revelation can blind us to what our true commandments are. If we who are in ministry aren't careful, we can unfortunately create a crusade that leads us to become isolated. Separating ourselves from the body is to say an eye can grow hands and feet and start walking on its own. We can not do this walk without hands and feet - nor should we want to. The apostles knew we were all servants, and Christ gave us the example to wash each others' feet. The ones who claim to be superior in revelation should be serving the body just as Christ served his disciples.
Leaders: you must repent if you find yourself leading and not serving. You are saying that the sheep's feet are not worthy of washing - Who are you? Who are you to think yourself so superior that you need to rise up above your brother and sister? Did Christ call you to that position above another? Speaking over them without you bowing to the lowest of his servants? Repent you fellow servant, and serve. You, oh superior, are called to serve - so serve you shall. Throw off your elitist hierarchy; you serve the flock!
Repent you rod holders, for you find yourself lording over one another in shame for Christ's name sake. Did he call you to slap your rod into his sheep without care? Do not lead with superiority, but lead with the example of Christ and remember his commandments.
