In WNC when Helene hit and power was out for days we used all the water in buckets to flush the toilet so we bartered with a neighbor who had a big generator that ran his well. We gave them pasta and snacks and they gave us buckets of water to flush the toilet.

I am from Akron Ny. The surrounding suburbs are salted like crazy. I have never seen so much salt put down as I have this year. 50 years going now. I do snowplowing and word on the streets is there is a salt shortage. I find this highly skeptical since Mount Morris is home to American Rock Salt and there is a huge mine here

I spoke at school board in Feb 2021 and said Iโd file against their surety bond if they didnโt stop masks. Board president who was a lawyer decided by end of meeting that masks were optional. I foiaโd their information again recently because now parents who speak are being retaliated against. I used it as a fear tactic years ago, not sure if actually works.

I remember being in upstate New York in school and having that being pushed on our parents.
Every year, we get a brand new teacher. Our parents allow us to go into a new classroom with someone we donโt know that is a stranger to us. Correct?
They have meet the teacher night and thatโs mainly when you go in the classrooms yourself. You get to see the classroom and the teacher. Of course it looks like theyโre on their best behavior and then we leave.
I wasnโt the perfect angel from kindergarten until third grade, but I had one teacher that literally hated me and would squeeze my arm and my ear.
When I look back, it makes me realize how much trust that we put into these teachers.
In the long run, I have a lot of friends that are teachers and theyโre great people and one in particular, she goes against the grain and teaches what she wants as a fourth grade teacher.
She is an angel and there are a lot of them out there too.
Please let us know if anything happened to your child or you in the public school system

I live between Conesus and Hemlock Lakes, when the helicopter crashed a few years ago in Mendon that started my Finger Lakes search, Little did I know what I would be learning and thank you for sharing, I truly admire you after what you have been through. My son and I did one of those real estate investing seminars with Armando Montelongo (TV show Flip This House), he uses programming on his "disciples", after they have paid thousand$$$ to learn real estate investing. We went through loud music, lack of sleep, starvation, chatting/repetition and idolization in his training classes.
On another note: Owner (Sands Family) of Constellation Brands: October 2019 held a fundraiser for Cuomo in his Canandaigua mansion on Canandaigua Lake, no mask wearing also. This was many years agoโฆlate 90s but I worked for a locally owned photography studio that mostly did family photos and senior portraits for many of the local high schools. So this company was โin competitionโ with the larger chains like dept stores and Olan Mills. We had 5 staff photographers they all rotated between studio days for private clients and going to the schools. One photographer stayed in studio I was only ever told he had been โbannedโ from going to schools. They were very odd, semi-creepy men.
In the decade after I left two of our photographers were arrested for pedo crimes!
The thing that sticks out to me is that the studio had multiple locations and they were in really strange industrial type areas, not at all aligned with the upscale clientele. I always thought something was fishy about the business in general.
