Weโ€™re thrilled to announce the launch of the Lillyn Teh Global Endeavour Grant and the expansion of the Lillyn Teh Endeavour Study Award, facilitated by a purpose-led S$2 million gift from Dr Lillyn Teh.

This follows her initial donation in 2024, which provides the Study Awards to help students with tuition and study-related expenses.

Dr Teh's second gift to SMU on our 25th Anniversary adds 25 recipients for the named study award and enables 250 students to participate in overseas exposure activities.

Last week, we celebrated the conclusion of the SMU Mentoring Pinnacle with DBS 2024 at the SMU ALCove. The event brought together over 50 DBS Bank mentors and SMU alumni & postgraduate student mentees for an evening of insightful sharing, gratitude, and networking.

A special thank you to our mentor Lester Lim and mentee Angel Ngo for their inspiring stories and reflections on their mentoring journey. The mentees also showed their appreciation by presenting personalised gratitude cards to their mentors.

๐ŸŒŸ Navigating Growth and Guiding Futures: SMU Mentoring Navigator 2024/25 ๐Ÿค

OAR hosted a welcome session for over 40 alumni mentors on 9 October, with a panel discussion featuring accomplished alumni including Dr. Kevin Cheong (DBA 2019), Charlotte Tan (LLB 2016), Reah Loh (BBM 2022) and Min Thu Ya Hlaing (MITB 2013), moderated by Angeline Kho (Assoc 2023) who shared on their career journeys.

The SMU Mentoring Navigator 2024/25 programme was then kicked off on 15 October, gathering over 50 alumni mentors and 160 student mentees. Inspiring insights on the power of mentorship were shared by alumni mentor Nandhu (LLB 2013), Partner at RHT Law Asia LLP, and mentee Brandon Chua, a current SMU MBA student.

In the five days since the launch, a remarkable 140 mentoring connections have been established. We anticipate even more connections in the weeks ahead.
