Customer always right. What is your opinion?

It is often said that customer is always right? The slogan is a main mentality with most of the people. In most cases, we acknowledge that businesses or sellers rely on the customers to make sales. Needless to say, without customers, business cannot sell products. In my view, I strongly believe that customer is not always right.

Logically, customer is not always in the right place. In, business, it is a very common to receive complaints from customer. Most of the time it is because of employee’s mistake. However, sometimes the customer is just not reasonable. A good employer should know how to captive the situation well. Some employer just simply put the blame on their staff just make the customer satisfy so that they do not lost customers. On the contrary, a high-minded and ethical employer shall come out with the most righteous decision that benefit both the employee and also the customer without squarely favouring one over another.

As far as I am concerned, the slogan customer is always right is widely used in business to enhance customer satisfaction. That is why customer care is paramount for every business. A happy customer shall not make a complaint. Although customer is not always right, under some circumstances customer has their rights. When a customer is treated with honesty and clarity, automatically they shall meet their expectations and standards. On top of that, there will be no such argument that customer is always right.

Nevertheless, the customer may not always right, but as an upstanding business, to avoid the temptation to make them feel wrong is a must. A high quality business shall train an employee with integrity and purity to earn the customer respect and satisfaction from their product or service. The employee should be exposed to all the knowledges and skills in handling customer as it is better to try to keep a bad thing from happening than to fix it once it has happened.

Taking everything into account, a business and customer both have rights and responsibilities. While a business treat customers with respect, a customer shall not trying to take unfair advantages to be dishonest or direspectful and vice versa. To put it another way, business and customer shall both forget about being right, and concentrate to remove any barriers and weaknesses for more businesses to grow and sustain.
