We have been notified of a recent TikTok video spreading false information that UNHCR is providing UNHCR cards and registration appointments for married couples who walk into UNHCR. The video also encourages individuals to come to UNHCR for walk-in appointments and UNHCR card.

All information shared in this video is FALSE.

Please remind your friends and family:

❌ DO NOT come to UNHCR if you do not have an appointment

Kind reminder to those making calls to Registration

1. Please prepare the website reference number BEFORE calling
2. This number is only for those who have applied for registration BEFORE 1 January 2023
3. Please call between 2PM and 4PM, not earlier, not later. The phone is operational only in these hours.
4. If you cannot get an appointment, try again the next day
5. In addition to the hotline, UNHCR continues to give appointments by SMS and e-mail based on website application, and based on criteria and procedures explained in the Refugee Malaysia website. This is not the only opportunity to get an appointment.

Beware of Scam: Special Relocation Program for Afghans

UNHCR has received reports of another scam targeting Afghan nationals. In addition to the scam on resettlement to the Netherlands via a Special Humanitarian Visa, there are organizations in Kabul (Afghanistan) claiming that Afghans can apply for a humanitarian visa program which would allow UNHCR to bring the applicants from Kabul to Malaysia, before relocatingthem to Canada or Germany.

This is a scam. These individuals are not connected to UNHCR and have no authority or ability to relocate anyone. Do not share your personal information with them or pay them any money.

If you come across suspicious messages or individuals claiming to be able to provide resettlement for a fee or for any other services, report this to:

- The police at the nearest police station or the CCID Scam Response Centre at 03-26101559 (8am – 8pm)
- UNHCR using this form

IMPORTANT: All UNHCR services are free. Do not trust any person or organization asking you to pay for services and assistance provided by UNHCR, including for resettlement

Your UNHCR card will not be cancelled and your case will not be delayed or closed if you report suspicious activities to UNHCR.

If you have applied for new registration before 1 January 2023, and
have not received an appointment yet, please call 017-6143810 between 2 pm and 4 pm, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Please prepare your Refugee Malaysia webpage application reference number.

The phone will be attended by English or Malay speaker only. Please make sure you have someone to help you with communication, if you don’t speak these languages.

This line is for registration appointments only, and your cooperation
is appreciated to allow other applicants to be attended, as well.

Please note that if you applied for registration after 1 January 2023, or don’t have your Refugee Malaysia webpage application number, you cannot get an appointment through this line.

مراقب کلاهبرداری باشید: اسکان مجدد به هلند برایاتباع افغانستان

کمیساریای عالی پناهندگان سازمان ملل (UNHCR) گزارش‌هایی درباره کلاهبرداری با هدف قراردادن اتباع افغانستان دریافت کرده است. فردی از طریق ایمیل ادعا می‌کند که UNHCR و نیروهای آمریکایی افغانستان (USFORA) به ۵۰ متقاضی کمک می‌کنند تا از طریق ویزای بشر
دوستانه ویژه به هلند اسکان مجدد داده شوند .

این یک کلاهبرداری است. این افراد هیچارتباطی با UNHCR ندارند و هیچ اختیاری یاتوانایی‌ای برای اسکان مجدد هیچ‌کس ندارند. اطلاعات شخصی خود را با آنها به اشتراک
نگذارید و هیچگونه پولی به آنها پرداخت نکنید.

با توجه به اعلامیه جدیددرباره برنامه پذیرش پناهندگان ایالات متحده (USRAP)،
نسبت به افرادی که از این وضعیت سوء استفاده می‌کنند، هشیار باشید. اگر با پیام‌هایمشکوک یا افرادی مواجه شدید که ادعا می‌کنند در ازای دریافت هزینه یا خدمات دیگر
می‌توانند اسکان مجدد را برای شما فراهم کنند، این موضوع را به مراجع زیر گزارشدهید:
