๐ช During a second India-Maldives high-level core group meeting on Friday, it was agreed that India would retain its aviation platforms, including two naval helicopters and an aircraft, while replacing the military personnel responsible for operations and maintenance, media reported.
๐ฎ๐ณ ๐ฒ๐ป The Maldives Foreign Ministry's statement mentioned that India had committed to replacing its military personnel for one of the platforms by March 10 and would do the same for the remaining two by May 10.
โช๏ธMeanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs of India did not spell out any timeline in its statement, but said both sides โagreed on a set of mutually workable solutions to enable continued operation of Indian aviation platformsโ that provide humanitarian and medical evacuation services to the people of Maldives.
According to the Indian media, the Indian military contingent in the Maldives comprises 77 personnel.
