1 x No tag on a RE at FF open

Once again the liquidation and M15 OF shift happened pre FF open. I will have to keep an eye on this going forward and consider adjusting the session hours.

Following the M15 OF shift I was happy to take a RE rather than wait for another liquidation. Unfortunately this was not tagged before price hit my target at the weak highs.

The M15 printed another BOS, but immediately retraced to the downside. Looking at the 4H, we can see that price swept the 4H high and was forming a large shooting star candlestick. This was definitely a potential sign that a pullback was coming so I was then being cautious with looking for buys.

Using the 4H and daily as a filter is a powerful tool for keeping out of trouble on the M15 as while the M15 still looked pretty bullish, the 4H was starting to look bearish.

GBPUSD - 06/01/2024
Price was coming from strong HTF demand, we were expecting some bullish reaction so longs are aligned with HTF objective.

On the D/H4/H1, price was in Discount during LDN, without any strong supply on the way, looking for longs following the bullish OF was the only option for now.
Price never formed any well developed structure or/and MTF POI to trade from, price simply explode to the upside without mitigating anything relevant. As you can see on H1 screenshot annotation nr2, i was waiting for some decent development before getting involved, but even if you tried to be aggressive since there was no MTF mitigation, it was impossible to get involved.

Now that we reach H4 extreme levels (and Daily supplies), we can expect some bearish reaction but looking for sells from these areas is NOT interesting until we have some strong MTF shift first, while OF is bullish i will continue looking for longs.

The main idea for the trading day/session was to play the M15/4H Swing pullback towards 4H premium supply, before then looking for pro trend shorts.

At FF open, price formed a bullish M15 i-BOS to continue the bullish M15 OF. I set an M15 RE long on the fresh M15 demand zone created, however price flew straight to the target without pulling back.

If you were more aggressive and alert, there was a long entry just before session open from the M15/1H demand created during Asia, in anticipation of the bullish M15 OF continuing.

Price flew up to 4H supply with a lot of momentum.

Phase B shorts are valid to play:
- M15 Internal pullback, or;
- M15 bearish Swing run

The lower M15 POI was lower probability as:
- just in front of the 4H supply
- no M15 LID (likely inducement for the M15 POI just behind it)

Once the M15 supply within 4H supply was mitigated, this is where it can pay to take the Phase B shorts counter M15 OF.

The bullish move at that point was one sided so price was likely due at least a pullback.

The large upper wick rejections of this M15 supply was a decent signal that it was going to hold.

I was waiting for more confirmation for shorts with M15 OF shifting bearish first, however the M15 fractal low was too far away.

There was an M5 LC-2A short which I didn't take.

Our market structure framework on the HTFs suggests it's likely we'll see further downside on EURUSD this year towards the weak Monthly low at 0.95361.

We don't need to get caught up in crystal ball predictions of exactly where price will go.

Instead, we can simply follow structure as it develops to give us an edge over time.

Not much interesting PA on GU today.
We were interested in some possible longs, since on D/H4 TF we swept clean HTF ERL. We know based on previous experience, the moment price sweeps these HTF ERLs, we tend to experience some strong reactions. In this case, looking for longs was something interested, especially after the strong H1 CH (cleaner during NY). After H1 CH bullish, price completely explode to the upside and never mitigated any valid H1 demand, therefore it was impossible to even use the LTFs to find the EMs. At this stage, i am still interested in looking for longs, but price has to form some strong H1 iBOS and HP H1 demand, so i can follow the OF and play the bullish PB.

Pre-session, I was skeptical of entering long on the M15 POI as no M15 SSLQ had been swept and there was a build up of ascending lows during Asia (low-resistance LQ).

Once the session volume kicked in, I set an M15 RE on the demand created at FF open.

Unfortunately price did not pull back to the POI and continued after mitigating the previous M15 Internal range high.

Phase B shorts were valid from the M15 supply in the M15 Swing leg. I skipped these as they formed at the end of the session from a POI with no LID or sweep.

They're playing out nicely so far with M15 SSLQ to target at the equal lows at 1.03906.

Just be mindful this could be an M15 Internal pullback before heading higher.

Just after finishing my analysis I realised the Asia low had already been swept, which gave me more confidence to trade from the M15 'CE POI' that had formed just before session open.

I used a wider SL behind the lower M15 POI that was already mitigated, incase the M15 POI that I entered on became a fake break liquidation.

+3R target lined up nicely just before the M15 Internal BSLQ.

As volatility is higher since the US election, once price reaches your usual target, it can be worth trailing your SL on the LTFs to squeeze more profit out of winners.

Idea for GU today was to look for longs, due to how HTFs (D/H4) were formed, similar to yesterday forecasts.

Price coming from W/D strong demand, on H4 price formed H4 CH bullish and mitigate new fresh H4 demand. I was interested to look for longs from this area, but since it was super large (H4) POI i waited for H1 confirmation first, i.e CH/iBOS. The moment price formed that strong move up on the H1 TF, we create new fresh H1 demands to follow price, continuing with the same objective (longs). We can see how H1/H4 work together, H1 bullish OF to facilitate the PB of the H4 bearish swing leg, really clean PA.

We still never mitigated any relevant H4 supply, looking for longs targeting the H4 supply do make sense, especially while we have HP H1 demands to trade from.

In terms of sells, i am not interested at this stage (while H1 demand holding), i wont be aggressive trying to catch a MTF reversal (H1 is bullish), much prefer to wait for some solid shift first, before trying to get involved. At this stage, i am waiting for price to mitigate H1 HP demand, so i can consider possible setups.

Once price mitigated 4H demand and the refined M15 flip within it during Asia, I had high conviction in the next bullish leg forming this session.

At session open I skipped the first M15 demand for the same reasons with the triple bottoms behind it.

Once this was swept, mitigating extreme M15 demand and formed a clear M5 entry, I entered on the edge of the M5 flip range to trade against the potential M15 bear trap towards 4H supply. Better R:R would be on 0.618 fib + M5 pivot.

I exited the first trade for about -0.05R as it was drifting sideways during the lull and looked like M15 supply was holding. But fortunately I re-entered shortly afterwards where I could see price was just pulling back to mitigate the M5 pivot demand / 0.618 fib and M5 OF was shifting bullish again.

There's potential for a bigger bullish move but I'm happy to take profits quickly at the next key opposing level, as the overall HTFs are still relatively sideways.

The M15 Swing had switched bearish and aligned with the bearish 4H Swing, after mitigating 4H premium supply, suggesting the 4H Swing pullback was finished and ready to target the weak 4H Swing low.

However, we know this can be a bear trap if the Daily forms a deeper pullback. The M15 had formed a bullish v-shape retrace during Asia after mitigating 4H demand and sweeping 4H SSLQ (1.04490). There wasn't any high probability M15 supply zones within the current M15 Swing range.

This is why I stated I was waiting for M15 BSLQ to be swept followed by a bearish M15 OF shift to create fresh M15 supply during session before considering shorts.

Longs were valid to anticipate the bear trap, targeting yesterdays high, for a deeper Daily pullback.

There were no clear M15 strong lows / demand pre-session to trade longs from. At 08:30 UTC, there was an M15 SSLQ sweep and bullish M15 i-CHoCH, creating M15 demand during session to give more aggressive long opportunities.

One price show more convincing bullish momentum around 09:00, I was interested in longs to target the M15 high, but price didn't pullback to M15 demand to provide an entry.

Not very interesting PA during today LDN/NY session, typical Monday especially after massive GAP during Market open -> Make it quite difficult to time the possible MTF HL (price filled the GAP but did not mitigate H4/H1 demand).

HTFs look extremely clean, price mitigated strong W/D demand, H4 BOS bearish and then H4 CH bullish, giving us strong signs that bullish PB will start, especially coming from HP HTF demand. Unfortunately, there was a massive GAP from Market Open (Sunday), so trying to time the exact area where H1 HL will be formed is quite tricky. I used the H4/H1 demand but it was quite refined, i literally had nothing more to work with. During these periods, i am not interested in trying to be super aggressive as there is simply not enough PA, much prefer to wait for strong H1 BOS/iBOS with HP H1 demands to then follow price.

We still did not mitigate H4 supplies, but looking for longs trading torwards these areas can be interesting due to the strong W/D demand we coming from, i will definitely keep en eye on H1 OF and if we have HP H1 demands, i will be interested to follow price. On the other hand, if we reach H4 premium prices (H4 swing structure is bearish) and then H1 forms some strong shift, i will change my bias, adapt and look for the H4 LH formation.

Interesting PA but not much more to say, typical Monday (especially after massive GAP).

Nothing very interesting on GU today, price mitigated H1 supply marked pre LDN (swept LQT) and continue moving down, unfortunately there was no entry model available to capitalize, even though forecast played out perfectly.

H4 structure was bearish, H1 structure (swing+internal) was also bearish so there was zero signs for longs at this stage (we never had H4 CH bullish as well). Thus, looking for sells was the only option. I was interested in following the bearish OF, marked H1 POI that swept LQT and was looking for an LC2A or CE from it, price eventually mitigated that MTF POI and completely dropped, without developing much on the LTFs.

After the strong drop, price just kept moving to the side and did not create anything interesting, at this stage its just better to ignore PA and wait for Monday as it does not worth trying to get involved.

Price kept inside this range for a while, only during late NY it actually broke bearish with commitment and looking for sells then become valid.

Notice how much false attempts price did, while inside a range. Price tried to break down, retrace then tried to break up, retrace - created multiple false attempts that can easily make you caught in the wrong side! This is why o posted on GU swing channel, we were interested to get involved (either way, i.e long/short) if price makes a true iBOS with commitment. The key aspect with ranges, its to indentify them before you already loss a few trades, trying to identify them in advance is key and often starts when PA moves to the side.

After the iBOS bearish (late NY) we can now continue looking for sells with more confidence, following the bearish OF.

We were well aware that once price sweeps ERL on the Daily TF, the bullish reaction could be formed.

On the H4 TF, we have supply holding and while that is holding, we cant confirm any bullish HTF PB. Anyway, we can indeed try to get involved and be ambitious on longs, before true HTF confirmation happens, just need to accept its more aggressive.

Today everything was bearish (during LDN and early NY), so looking for sells, following the bearish OF do make sense, especially if we have HP H1 supplies. I was interested in looking for sells from H1 supply marked on pre-NY update (forecast), waiting for either LC2A or CE, but price did not form none of these and completely disrupted the zone. At this stage, we created strong H1 CH bullish and this can be a good sign to look for ambitious longs, while we did not reach HP H4/H1 supply (at extreme of H1 bearish swing leg).

We forecasted the pre NY session in detail, in todays Photon Coffee Break meetup, around 30mn+. I explained the mechanical ways to get involved and what i was expecting, so we were all prepared coming into the session. If you are interested, i recommend checking that video.

I was very close to trailing to BE once the M15 failed to close above the nearby M15 high, but opted to let it play out.

H4 demand is still currently holding, looking for longs do make sense but the fact price mitigated extreme H4 supply, has definitely created some bearish pressure we need to be aware!

While H4 demand is holding and H1 internal structure bullish, longs do make sense! According to our forecast, looking for longs from H4 demand was something we were interested but we have to wait for some kind of H1 confirmation. Price formed valid H1 CH indeed, giving us the confirmation needed to look for longs, but then on the LTFs it never created any valid EM and price end up continue trickling down, following the ii-OF. Now, we created a deeper H4 demand mitigation but the idea remains the same, waiting for some proper shift first and only then look to get involved, at this stage no interest in trying to catch i-HL using the LTF straight away.

From the Daily perspective, HTF bullish PB is only confirmed once D CH bullish but there is nothing wrong by trying to be more ambitious and look for longs, with the right confirmation, following the internal H1 OF.

One unforgivable textbook missed trade for myself that I now have all weekend to think about. I just wasn't focused enough and was away from the screen when it set up. Lesson learned and looking back through my journal I can see that I tend to miss more trades on Thursdays and Fridays when I am not as fresh so definitely something I need to be conscious of going forward.

M5 LC1 into an unmitigated M15 POI in line with the immediate order flow. As clean as it gets.

Sweep of 1H LID into 1H supply at the top of the range
Following M15 bearish OF from M15 sweep zone
Sweep of M15 LID that formed during FF open into LDN open for the entry

With that strong momentum coming in, as it often does around LDN open on this index, it can be worth removing your TP and aggressive trailing price to the next unmitigated range.

I don't have a lot of experience with this instrument, but from what we've seen so far, this setup (M5 LC-1 from an unmitigated M15 POI) heading into LDN open is the go to.

GBPUSD - 07/11/2024
After H4 sweep the low and internally created protected low with HP demand, looking for longs was our main idea for today session(s).

On the H4, we can see price was in Discount of the bearish swing leg, still never reached D/H4 supply above and created really clean H4 demand that was holding price. On the H1, price formed HP internal structure with HP H1 demand formed through sweep of LQT, looking for longs to play the bullish PB was definitely interesting. Also, when looking left price was not coming from any kind of supply, so longs were literally the only interesting idea -> *This was discussed in todays Photon Coffee Break meetup*, make sure to check if you have questions.

There was a bug in the FOREX.COM provider, on H1 price seems to mitigate H1 demand marked pre LDN, but on the LTFs we can see price never reach that zone and just missed by a few pips. Anyway, the main take-away from this session was how H4/H1 work together and knowing that after sweep swing lows + iBOS bullish with HP H4/H1 demand, looking for longs do make sense and to look for sells we would need to see at least some strong MTF shift, not interested in trying to call the LH while internal OF was bullish (CT for sells).

Price pushed up at the session open, mitigated extreme M15 supply and filled the Internal M15 BSLQ behind 1.07583.

The M15 then failed to break higher on 2 attempts, signalling demand was starting to run out.

I entered a Phase B short on the M15 CHoCH + demand fail, as forecasted pre-session.

Typically, for an M15 RE we would wait for a break and pullback to the zone, but as the M15 CHoCH and the edge of the M15 supply are in the same area, it makes sense to just enter on the break as my R:R is the same, whilst removing the risk of a no-tag if price doesn't pullback. 

Targeting the SSLQ that built up during Asia.

Main risk is that the M15 Internal is still bullish so price could push higher if a HTF pullback forms.

Price did not form much interesting PA during todays sessions.
Idea was to wait for some proper iBOS bullish (commitment) so we can have the confirmation needed, to continue looking for longs. We knew (something we have been discussing here) that H4 POI price was rejecting was quite LP so i am not very interesting in looking for sells, even less if we dont have any proper MTF confirmation. Thus, the moment price formed H1 CH bullish, with some BSL to target, looking for longs were definitely valid and aligned with our Multi TF analysis. Knowing H4 supply was "weak", that worked as our target, so any H1 decent demand was valid to look to get involved.

Price after H1 CH bullish, formed a valid M15 CE but it was quite aggressive in my opinion (still valid), it reached around 4.3R until sweep H1 swing H, so plenty of room for TPs. Only at this stage (currently). price mitigate the HP H1 demand formed during LDN, properly. Thus, i am not interested in looking to get involved as its outside session, much prefer to wait for next week and see what is going to form.

On the daily we had swept a significant low and ended yesterday with a strong bullish candle closure. This was a sign that we could see a daily pullback so buys were always the higher probability play.

On the M15 price initially broke to the downside suggesting we could see a pullback to the unmitigated range. But what happened next? We immediately retraced to the upside with a lot of momentum and formed a bullish M15 CHoCH after the unmitigated supply within the range had failed.

In line with the HTF's, this was most likely a sign of bullish intent so buys were the higher probability play rather than trying to play the sweep of liquidity from an already mitigated POI with tonnes of liquidity resting behind.

Price pulled back into M15 B2S wicks before pushing higher and printing another BOS. There was a potential M1 CE within there, if it is in your plan to trade from wicks.

The key lesson is to always keep the HTF at the forefront of your mind.

EU analysis has already been posted multiple times today, so i will be short. Also, i will cover this PA (trade) in todays Weekly PA Review.

After Daily massive sweep of ERL, i was looking for possible bullish reactions (same analysis as GU on Tuesday, discussed in todays Photon Coffee Break, the method remains the same).

On the H4 TF, price after sweep all that HTF ERL, formed a nice H4 CH bullish, which indicates we can have more upside, playing the bullish H4 PB of the bearish H4 swing leg. Also, we had great room to breathe until price reach H4 supply, so i was interested in looking to take advantage of that PB.

On the H1 TF, we can clearly see H1 extreme supply failing, followed by a super H1 demand formed through sweep of LQT. This give us huge signs price will continue moving higher, there is literally no supply against us and we have a very clean well developed H1 demand to trade from (formed through sweep -> HP).

Also, on the LTFs we can see a super clean LQT sweep, basically formed by news and price created a HP M15 LC1 to get involved (note i just got involved after 45/60mn, once spreads calm down).

I just checked this trade now at the evening since i was away entire afternoon, i will be moving SL to BE to avoid any possible LH formation from H4 supply (+ dont like holding through Asia).
There has been some nice opportunities both for swing and day trading lately, hope you caught some of them 🚀

Apologies for the late Markup, i was away entire afternoon and could not open the PC.
GBPUSD was not really interesting today, price simply move up but never formed any H1 (internal) structure to get involved or any HP H1 demands to follow PA.

Based on our H4 analysis, looking for sells make sense, while everything is bearish, but from H4 perspective we can see how LP current H4 supply is and the fact price had to break tons of internal structure to get there, i much prefer to wait for some confirmation on MTFs first, not using LTFs straight away. The moment price formed H1 CH bearish, we then have much more confirmation but already outside session so i will be waiting for tomorrow.
EU was much cleaner, so i preferred spend my day focusing on that.

GBPUSD - 17/10/2024
Price is in an interesting AOV, we swept massive Daily ERL which can provide nice bullish reactions, therefore looking for buys was aligned with Daily TF idea.

On the H4, we can see price is Discount, after H4 BOS bearish. On the H1 TF, price swept the low (failed to close below) and shift bullish, indicating internal H might be weak, therefore looking for longs from that new fresh H1 demand (formed through sweep) was valid. Price formed a very small range so LC1 was perfect EM to use. Price formed a valid LC1 EM, which run exactly to the H1 POI marked pre LDN (supply). This was a very interesting trade, but would trigger you around 10:30 (outside session, if you are strict with it).

During NY, price formed H4 CH bullish and give even more confirmation bullish move can start, looking for longs from new H4 demand was valid but price due to the huge amount of volatility, it never formed any interesting trade, i am not willing to have 30 pips SL so i am happy to pass the LC1 formed during NY.

GBPUSD - 15/10/2024
After strong H1 iBOS, looking for longs start to make sense. Yes, i know we still did not form any D CH bullish, which is what will confirm with "certainty" that the bullish move might start, but i am more than happy to take this H1 message from the market and look for longs earlier, especially before price reach refined H4 supply.

Price formed a very clean H4/H1 demand, after iBOS we never mitigate any relevant demand to look for trades, we instantly stop and moved sideways, not much momentum to be honest, which made it difficult to get involved. I am looking for potential iHL/HH from H4/H1 demand, just need to wait for that mitigation first. Also, if price mitigate H4 refined supply and on H1 we form some kind of bearish shift, this can be early signs of the bearish pressure so it worth be aware of any potential sell setup (H4 structure still bearish). Anyway, at this stage i am favouring longs, just want to see price mitigate some decent MTF POIs before trying to get involved. Ideally price forms D CH bullish and we can start the up-move from this Daily demand.

EURUSD - TUE 15/10/24 - NY
Following the 4H CHoCH and M15 BOS, buys were the high probability play.

Price pulled back to the discount of the swing range, but did not mitigate the demand at the extreme.

The M15 range was quite tight and there was no bullish M15 CHoCH to signal that the OF had shifted bullish. In scenarios such as this, it can make sense to follow the bullish OF on the M5 with a CE or DCE. While obviously this is more aggressive without a POI mitigation, it does make sense when working within a tight range so it is something to maybe consider in the future.

EURUSD -  TUE 15/10/24 - LONDON
There was a potential M5 LC1 after price swept the lows and formed a bullish M15 CHoCH. Could have also been taken as an M15 RE.

Personally I missed it because I wasn't at the screen at the time but it was definitely a nice trade.
