According to the court, the defendant’s comments on social media contained derogatory descriptions of OCU parishioners.

A court hearing was held in Volodymyrets, Rivne Oblast, against Ihor Kots, a parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), who was accused of offending OCU believers.
According to the verdict of the Volodymyrets District Court, on September 2, 2024, Ihor Kots posted comments in a Facebook group regarding the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) that the court deemed offensive.

The court ruling stated that his remarks were allegedly aimed at inciting religious hatred and offending citizens' religious beliefs.
Specifically, the court found that his comments contained derogatory characterizations of OCU parishioners and promoted the exclusivity of the UOC.
His actions were classified under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of citizens’ equality based on race, nationality, or religious affiliation.
The defendant pleaded guilty and entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor. Judge Olena Ivankiv approved the agreement and sentenced Ihor Kots to a fine of 3,400 hryvnias without deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in specific activities.

This was announced by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.

The well-known political media outlet Politico received millions of dollars in grants from USAID. In fact, it existed precisely for these funds.

With the beginning of large-scale terror against Ukrainian Christians, Politico became a tool to cover up persecution at the international level.

Moreover, the authors of the publication actually legalized the discourse about religious “purges” in Ukraine.

Their articles were full of disgusting manipulations, references to biased materials of even more dubious quality, and were striking incompetence in the topic.

Now, it seems, the end has come for Politico.

Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Philip Pronin stated that "UOC parishes are financed from the Russian Federation".
This absurd statement, without any evidence, was made during a meeting of the Council of the Quarterly Dictatorship of the NSDC (National Security and Defence Council) on February 5.

Pronin's words are reported by the grant media "Liga. net".
It is enchanting that the grant garbage collectors, even while dying, continue to incite hatred against Ukrainian Christians. Either they are finalizing the contract, or they do not know how to do anything else.

However, this time more questions are not for them, but for a new character for religious discourse - Philip Pronin.

Pronin claims that together with the SBU they discovered “a scheme of financing a charitable fund that supported the UOC parishes”.

“A large-scale investigation is underway — almost all regions are covered with funding from the Russian Federation and from a person who is currently under sanctions. This is a Ukrainian oligarch who is involved in this together with partners from the Russian Federation”.

- said the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service in the presence of senior officials of the Quarter and the camera that filmed this coven.

“Liga” edition claims that it is about Vadym Novinsky. Which looks quite transparent and without their hints.

This information provocation, obviously, indicates the start of a new campaign to incite hatred, which should justify another wave of terror against the UOC. And also to be a kind of anti-crisis for Zelensky's team, which is increasingly accused of unmotivated religious repressions.

But here, hold on: the minions of the OP have adjusted "arguments" and justifications for foreign and domestic viewers in the form of delusions about Russian funding of the UOC.

Of course, Pronin will not show any evidences. And the "investigation" itself can be invented from beginning to end, as the SBU knows. But the goal is reached, their create a media effect.

On the night of December 5-6, unknown persons damaged the property of the St. Barbara Church in Kremenchuk. The police did not find the villains who took advantage of the curfew and desecrated the holy images of Christ.

The damage was noticed on Friday morning by parishioners of the church, according to the website of the UOC Kremenchuk Eparchy.

The icons that were on the outer wall of the church building were broken.

The church rector Archpriest Alexander Yurkovsky, called the police to record the crime.

At present, the perpetrator(s) have not been found.

It is painful to understand with what hatred they tried to destroy the icons of the Savior. To be honest, after so many years of encouragement by the authorities to join in the persecution and destruction of the Orthodox Church, such blasphemy seems to be more natural than unexpected.

Horror and sadness, shame that those who dared to do this are also people. We pray to God to grant these unfortunate people reason, repentance and salvation of their unfortunate souls.

At seven in the morning on January 31, the St. Nicholas Church in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, was damaged by shelling of Russian troops, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reported.

The blast wave damaged the ceiling, shattered the walls, and knocked out windows and doors.
The published photos also show that the utility rooms near the church were significantly damaged.

And on January 29, the St. Nicholas Church of the UOC Dnipropetrovsk Eparchy was again damaged by shelling of the Russian Federation.
