The victim, identified as 'Muthii' is said to be in critical condition at Kerugoya Referral Hospital.
Eyewitnesses report the argument escalated when the butcher dragged the victim into his shop before mutilating him.
Residents stormed the butcher's premises, demanding his arrest.
Police fired in the air to disperse the angry crowd.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who has since gone into hiding.

The problem now is that my baby daddy is back. He apologised for everything and says he wants to take me back, including taking me to the U.S. if I still love him.
I do still have feelings for him, but Iโm torn because I donโt want to hurt the man who has been there for me all these years.
This man has supported me in ways I can never fully repay. He got me a good job, paid for my child's school fees, and has been taking care of everything. We were even planning to get married this year. But now that my baby daddy is back, Iโm confused about what to do.
How do I explain to the man whoโs been supporting me that Iโm no longer in love with him? Heโs been a true gem, sticking by me through everything.
He doesn't deserve to be hurt, and I feel guilty for even considering leaving him. I havenโt told either of them about the other yet, and I know I need to figure out how to handle this without causing unnecessary pain.
My baby daddy said he will come and see my parents next week, and whatever they ask for in terms of compensation, heโs willing to pay.

Josephine Lwal, a Nakuru-based woman who recently accused Prophet Owuorโs Holiness and Repentance Ministry of engaging in cult-like practices, now claims she is facing threats from individuals alleging to be from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
According to Josephine, soon after her interview with media personality Lynn Ngugi aired, attempts were made to have the video taken down. She alleges that representatives from the church contacted her, requesting that she ask Lynn to remove the content.
Josephine further claims that she was informed the case had been escalated to the cybercrime unit, with threats suggesting that authorities were looking for her. She was allegedly questioned about the use of a certain religious leaderโs image in the video, which she believes is the source of the pressure to take it down.
Despite these threats, Josephine maintains that she only shared her personal story and sees no criminal offense in doing so. She insists that any decision regarding the video rests with Lynn Ngugi, as the content belongs to her platform.

Nairobi Car Dealer Khalif Kairo Fails to Raise Cash Bail, Granted Ksh 3 Million Personal Bond
Nairobi vehicle dealer Joseph Kairu Wambui, popularly known as Khalif Kairo, was granted a personal bond of Ksh 3 million on Friday after multiple days in police custody.
His lawyer, Davinson Makau, informed Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina that Kairo was unable to raise the Ksh 3 million cash bail and requested the court to consider granting a personal bond.
The court also returned Kairo's passport to facilitate his travel to the USA for fundraising purposes, noting his consistent travel history and finding no compelling reason to restrict his movement.
Kairo had been charged on Wednesday, January 29, with obtaining Ksh 3,045,000 from Dan Odhiambo Odundo by falsely claiming he could import a Volkswagen Tiguan 1.4 from Japan through his company, Kai & Karo Limited a claim he allegedly knew to be false.
He pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi.
This case was the latest in multiple charges related to defrauding clients in vehicle import deals.
Earlier in January 2025 Kairo was arraigned for allegedly deceiving clients into paying substantial amounts for vehicles that were never delivered.
In one instance, he is accused of obtaining Ksh 2,145,150 from Jeff Kyule Munane between July 10 and July 29, 2024, under the pretense of importing a Honda Vezel Hybrid from Japan.
In another case, he allegedly received Ksh 2.9 million from Dona Ayalo Okoth in July 2024, promising to import a Subaru Outback, which was also not delivered.

Second-hand vehicle dealer Joseph Kairu Wambui, widely known as Khalif Kairo, was arraigned at Milimani Law Courts on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in connection with yet another case of fraud.
Kairo, who runs Kai and Karo Limited was charged with obtaining Ksh 3,045,000 from Dan Odhiambo Odundo.
The charge states that between October 5 and October 7, 2024, at Westlands Business Park, Nairobi County, acting through his company Kai and Karo Limited, he falsely represented that he could import a Volkswagen Tiguan 1.4 line from Japan.
The complainant, Dan Odhiambo Odundo, was deceived by these claims, resulting in the payment of the sum in question.
Kairo, who was arrested on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, was brought to court on January 29, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of cheating under Section 315 of the Penal Code.
In his defence, Kairo denied the allegations that he had misrepresented his ability to import the vehicle and that the complainant had been misled into paying the money.
Witnesses, including Simon Otieno Odhiambo, Albert Hesbon Odundo and police officer Wako Jarso are expected to testify in the case.
Kairo is currently in custody pending a decision from the court on his bond terms.
Second-hand vehicle dealer Joseph Kairu Wambui, widely known as Khalif Kairo, was arraigned at Milimani Law Courts on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in connection with yet another case of fraud.
Kairo, who runs Kai and Karo Limited was charged with obtaining Ksh 3,045,000 from Dan Odhiambo Odundo.
The charge states that between October 5 and October 7, 2024, at Westlands Business Park, Nairobi County, acting through his company Kai and Karo Limited, he falsely represented that he could import a Volkswagen Tiguan 1.4 line from Japan.
The complainant, Dan Odhiambo Odundo, was deceived by these claims, resulting in the payment of the sum in question.

These are the two thugs who robbed and killed a single father in Madhare, area 4A. Reports indicate that it is not the first time they attacked and killed an innocent Kenyan. It's their routine, easy way to earn money by robbing people of their phones, cash, etc, and selling them at throw-away prices, leaving their victims dead or nursing wounds.
On Monday they attacked and killed a father in front of his little boy. The incident happened at around 5 am when the father, who worked at a mjengo, was escorting his 3-year-old son to school before reporting to work as was his routine. According to the neighbors, he was a hardworking father who always wanted the best for his boy.
The man had been raising his boy as a single father since the child was 3 months old, only to be killed by these two youthful gang members. DCI detectives are investigating a murder case where a 29-year-old man was intercepted by police on patrol while carrying a suspicious bag, which on examination was found to contain a human body parts belonging to a young woman.

Inspector Guyo Dida, the Deputy Officer Commanding Station at Mavindini Police Station in Makueni County arrested for the second time on Tuesday after he was caught illegally conducting traffic duties at Globe Cinema roundabout in Nairobi while on leave.

SOMETIMES, PAIN CAN MAKE YOU QUESTION GOD!
Joyce was a wife to a wonderful gentleman and mother to amazing 3 children. During one of the holidays several years back, they were to leave the village and return to the city. She decided to stay back with her daughter and come back to the city the following day. However, the husband and two sons hit the road for Nairobi.
Sadly, when they reached Narok, just before Suswa, they were swept away by the notorious Narok flash floods. Flash floods occur when rains are overwhelming and so as the water goes downhill, it gains momentum, carrying along with it massive debris including huge boulders, trees etc. As they drove past what looked as just some kidogo water that they drive through, they were swept away and the vehicle was only found several days later further down the winding path of that โriverโ.
Their car had been tossed on the massive rocks and debris in the waters, and as they tried to secure themselves by closing windows, they all sadly suffocated and died. When they were found, the water in the car and impact because of the flood had truly spoilt the bodies.
The heartbroken widow mourned deeply. How could she deal with the loss of a spouse and children who were in perfect health, and now lose them in a jiffy?!! PAIN!!!
When the mother of Joyce heard about the loss of her son-in-law and grandchildren, she was heartbroken for her daughter Joyce who would now be a widow unexpectedly. The mother had herself been unwell before all this, but was holding up alright. Here she was now, wondering how her daughter would deal with this. No warning of illness or anything. After burying the son-in-law and grandchildren, Joyceโs mother illness got worse. 6 months later, she died. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Double PAIN!!!
When Joyceโs mum died, I donโt want to imagine the pain she went through. I guess pain gets you to a point you become numb. You have borne it so deeply and so closely that your tears are totally spent. Itโs like puking when you have eaten nothing for many days. You feel pain in your stomach with each attempt to throw up, but nothing comes out and itโs just painful. PAIN!! Raw PAIN!!
Yet thatโs not all, when Joyceโs dad heard that his wife (Joyce mum) had died, he was shocked, collapsed and died too. Yes, this is not a movie. Ei!!! This is true life story. PAIN!!! How does one deal with such pain??? You look at such pain, juxtaposed against your pain of loses, and realize that PAIN can be cruel and that our pains are deep, but some are far deeper and more hurtful. ๐ข๐ข๐ข
I am not going to even try and talk about Joyceโs pain when the dad fell and died. But for Christ our Redeemer, Joyce wore this pain with grace, trusting in the morning when we shall meet loved ones again on the glassy sea.
Here she was now, a widow, an orphan and with one child remaining. Georgina. A beautiful girl with passion for Christ. They are both members Lavington SDA Church. Joyce is a choir member. The daughter is active in the clubs for young people.
During the Christmas festivities, mummy and daughter went to Mombasa for crossover vacation. They dot on each other quite a lot. So they booked an apartment for their staycation. Sadly, while cooking a meal one morning, the boilers exploded on them both, throwing them to the ground and burning them severely! Joyce had 40% burns and the little girl 60%! This is two weeks ago. TWO WEEKS AGO YAWA!!!
How does one deal with all that PAIN??? How does a lady who is merely in her 40s handle all that!!! How God? Pimna Nyasaye Wuora!!!
Joyce and the daughter were evacuated and flown to Nairobi for immediate medical care. They have been admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital, unable to do anything. Friends have been and continue to donate blood and cash to support them.
This morning, Georgina, the daughter of Joyce, a student at Alliance Girls High School, lost the battle. The only remaining child has DIED! ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Yes, I said just that. Our little girl has died!!! Police are looking into a case where a man died while allegedly masturbating in his home in Shanzu, Mombasa County.
Police said they received a report on Monday that the 66-year-old Canadian was watching pornographic videos on his laptop where he allegedly masturbated to his last breath while in his room.
Upon visiting the scene, police found his lifeless body in his bedroom lying on the bed while holding his manhood with his left hand and pornographic videos were playing on his laptop.
It was also established that the man and his 33-year-old wife lived in different bedrooms.
His wife said they stopped enjoying conjugal rights a year ago following trust issues.

The court heard that David Oaga Mokaya shared the said image on his X account, "Landlord @bozgabi," with the caption suggesting it showed President William Ruto's body being transported.
It is alleged the accused person fabricated the date to make the post appear authentic.
The offense is said to have been committed on November 13, 2024, at an unknown location within the Republic of Kenya.
Mokaya pleaded not guilty to the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Benmark Ekhumbi.
The court granted the accused person a bond of KSh 100,000 with an alternative cash bail of KSh 50,000.
The case is scheduled for mention on December 4, 2024.

The situation surrounding the sudden disappearance of vocal online commentator Maverick Aoko has taken a new twist following a new post on her social media profile indicating that the situation is more complex than initially understood.
According to her aide, following her last arrest in August, Aoko chose to stay with family in the countryside, only travelling to Nairobi for meetings and court appearances.
The aide recounts that two weeks ago, upon returning to Nairobi, Aoko discovered her front door had been forcibly damaged, which alarmed her.
In a state of panic, Aoko contacted her aide for advice.
The aide urged her to document the damage and leave the premises immediately.
Aoko, however, decided against disclosing her presence in the city, fearing it would attract unwanted attention.
The aide also mentioned that Aoko's caretaker and watchman reported seeing suspicious people loitering nearby and inquiring about her whereabouts.
Aoko was afterwards interviewed by AFP regarding her prior arrest and ongoing threats against her.
Following Aoko's interview with AFP, the situation took a different turn after she wrote about a prominent figure on her X page.
This post seemed to trigger a series of events that led her to go incognito.
Aoko's aide also notes that after this particular tweet, the family and friends began to worry more deeply for her safety, initially interpreting her silence as a strategic move to confuse potential adversaries.
As of now, they still do not know Aoko's whereabouts and are uncertain about where to report her absence. The family currently holds deep mistrust in the system, particularly because the same officers who had previously mistreated Aoko and warned her lawyers that they were "coming for her" again after her release in August.
