The remarkable story of Ngannou, who triumphed over numerous obstacles to find success in mixed martial arts (MMA).
Ngannou's parents separated when he was just six years old, and he was raised by his single mother. He encountered many difficulties, such as walking six miles to school and working in a sand mine at the age of nine for very little pay.
At 26, he undertook a dangerous 14-month journey to France, where he crossed the Sahara Desert and faced severe dehydration. Upon arriving in France with no money, he sought a place to train in boxing.
After starting his training in a boxing gym, he shifted his focus to MMA, training under coach Fernand Lopez. He quickly gained recognition, winning his professional debut and signing with the UFC.
Ngannou went on to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion, set a world record for the hardest punch, and achieved significant financial success, reportedly earning around $30 million from boxing matches.
