See how accurate the time cycle forecast is.. On December 20th, the market hit a low, and since December 28th fell on a weekend, Nifty reached a high today. I've come across several videos from Gann experts on YouTube who have been predicting a significant downturn for the past couple of years. They mention certain 'pressure dates,' but it's unclear which direction the market will take.

I've observed that some so-called "Gann experts" often give arbitrary "pressure dates" and claim these are key trend reversal points. If the trend continues, they label it a "Pressure Date Failure", which is a frequent occurrence. However, when their pressure dates align with actual time cycle dates, they tend to work, demonstrating that timing is crucial. Additionally, some of these "experts" trade without using stop losses, hoping for the best, which is not the approach Gann would have recommended. Gann always emphasized the importance of using stop losses in trading.

According to Gannโs principles, time cycles move from High to Low and Low to High, with one exception: the LOV (Low-to-High or High-to-Low) cycle, which can sometimes move from High to High or Low to Low. This is a rare and predictable pattern, and if recognized in advance, it offers significant insights into market movements.

The "Sell on Rise" strategy in Nifty and Bank Nifty has been performing well, especially after Nifty dropped 800 points and Bank Nifty around 2000 points from the "Trump High". Many analysts were predicting that the market had reached its bottom and was set to climb to new highs, which turned out to be completely contrary to the Gann time cycle forecast. This highlights the importance of understanding time cycles in trading.

The equinox move in Nifty 50 began a couple of trading days later than expected. This is part of a larger cycle with an orb of about 4-5 trading sessions. I believe this move has now concluded. Additionally, the larger RG7 cycle is UP in Nifty is projected to last until the first week of November. However, since Nifty has broken below the 20 DMA, I do not recommend going long at this time. Instead, wait for a daily close above 25,550 before considering any long positions.

A review of the past 20 years shows that significant changes have historically occurred during the September equinox. For instance, last year, Bank Nifty experienced a dramatic 4000-point drop in the third week of September. Pay attention to lunar high dates and trend reversal signals for optimal entry and exit points. Remember, our broader cycle is expected to remain bearish until the first week of October, with a lunar high on the 17th and the Fed rate cut decision on the 18th. Exciting trading opportunities are on the horizon!

For August, buying on dips proved successful. Now, with the larger cycle expected to turn down in September, it's time to consider selling on rises in the Nifty 50. However, I won't initiate any short positions in the Nifty immediately as long as it remains above the 20-day SMA. Instead, I plan to identify weaker stocks that are trading below the 20-day SMA and focus on shorting those.
