From mid-2025, HDB will progressively roll out the Family Care Scheme (FCS) to further strengthen intergenerational family support by promoting proximity living between parents and children.

Under the new scheme, priority access to new flats will be given to all parents and their children, regardless of marital status.

More details will be shared nearer to implementation. In the meantime, home buyers can continue to apply for a flat under the current priority schemes in the Feb 2025 BTO sales exercise.

In Oct, we will launch our biggest supply of BTO flats in 2024 under the new flat classification framework – Standard, Plus, Prime. On top of significant market discounts for all new flats, there will be additional subsidies for Prime and Plus flats to keep them affordable and accessible for a wider group of home buyers across income levels. Prime and Plus flats will also come with tighter restrictions to keep the system fair.
