A textbook setup on USDCHF during the NY session. Gold also presented a solid opportunity, but I couldn’t take the trade. :)

I was a bit too confident with this trade and took on more risk than usual. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned. :/

Kicking off the week with a classic setup on GBPCAD. :)

Every trader should take time to journal their trades, reflect on their performance, and truly understand their journey. I started November with a loss in the first week, closing it at a loss because the market was unpredictable, likely influenced by the U.S. elections. In the second week, setups were scarce, but I stayed disciplined and managed to secure a 5% gain. This week, however, has been extraordinary, bringing in 12% gains.

This highlights a fundamental truth about trading: it is unpredictable, and nothing is guaranteed. The only thing you can control is how you manage your risk—everything else is left to the market. Over these three weeks, the total gain has been nearly 20%.

The goal isn’t to trade every day or win every trade. Focus on 2-3 solid setups a week, aiming for 3% per trade. Trading every day is exhausting and unnecessary. The key is patience—waiting for the right opportunities and executing with calm confidence. So, do you still believe you need to trade every day or win every time? Or can you see the value in restraint and letting the market guide your path? :)

This is one of the toughest challenges in trading—watching it hit your take profit, only to move another 100 pips within minutes.

You must embrace it and let it pass, for clinging only weighs you down in the flow of life. :)

Wrapping up the week with an impressive setup on EURUSD right after the news release. Take a closer look at my setups, and you’ll see how perfectly it follows the textbook approach. :)

I don’t usually trade GER30, but during our pre-market analysis session, a student pointed out this setup. It looked promising, so I decided to take the trade with a quick 1:3 risk-to-reward target. This is the same type of setup we often see on EURUSD during the London session. Here’s how we planned it. :)

I was also in a Gold trade that nearly hit the stop-loss but was closed at breakeven. 😅

I’ve added USDCAD and a few other Forex pairs to my watchlist to increase the frequency of setups. I’ll be using the same entry rules I apply to EURUSD and Gold for these new pairs. :)

You see, most people think they need to trade every day to make money. When they don’t see a setup, they feel this itch to jump in, and that’s when they lose money because the trade wasn’t planned. It was their mind pushing them to act. But the truth is, doing less can often mean doing better. The more self-control you have, the more you’ll grow your profits over time. You don’t need to trade every day. Just focus on one setup, understand the conditions where it works, and stick to your rules. That’s what a disciplined trader does. If you’re trying to catch every high and low in the market, like I used to, you’re just burning up your energy. :)

I started this account with just $200 earlier this month, only taking trades when the right setup came. I also have a prop firm account, but I can’t hold trades during news events, so I mirror the trades on both my prop firm and personal accounts. The small profits don’t matter as much. I risked $50 per trade and closed them around 3% gains. Now, think about this: if I had risked $1000 on a $100,000 prop account (which is just 1% risk), could’ve made $18,000 in just 6 days, if I consistently closed each trade at 3% (trading one exact setup). The key is to always think long-term. It’s not about what you can make today or tomorrow. We’re in this for the long run, so it’s important to keep things carefully planned. :)
