I who have always gone into a book blind, found myself astounded by the premise of this book.
Right now, in the wee hours of the night, my brain is racing with thought trying to un-knot the mess this book created in me. I honestly would recommend reading this book at least once to anyone, and I caution you to venture into this absurd read with a level head ready to get riddled with thoughts about life, humanity, and the self. However, if you like books with a solid ending and no dangling question at the end, maybe steer clear of this one?
Here’s a little summary:
an unnamed girl is imprisoned with 39 other women, she who has no memory of human life feels isolated from them. Spoilers ahead!! Once a siren goes off and their guards leave suddenly while turning a key in the cage, this gives them a chance to flee their prison. The rest of the story covers their attempts of discovering life other than their own, settling down, and the final years of the protagonist who is now alone.
