Another Day, More Lies

The hoaxes perpetuated against President Donald J. Trump and his administration never stop, and today was no exception.

HOAX: A score of Fake News outlets, including Axios, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and many others, claimed President Trump’s directive to temporarily pause certain federal spending was “rescinded.”
FACT: No such thing took place. Instead, a memo from the Office of Management and Budget was rescinded in an effort to alleviate confusion — and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed President Trump’s order remains “in full force and effect, and will be rigorously implemented” as the administration works to root out waste, fraud, and abuse.

The hoaxes extended to the confirmation hearing for Secretary of Health and Human Services-designate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

HOAX: Secretary-designate Kennedy is “anti-vaccine,” as multiple members of the Senate Committee on Finance claimed and the Fake News wrote before the hearing had even started.
FACT: This lie has been repeatedly debunked by Secretary-designate Kennedy himself — describing himself to the committee as neither “anti-vaccine [n]or “anti-industry,” but “pro-safety.” In reality, like President Trump, he is simply advocating for “good science” to enable Americans to make informed medical decisions about themselves and their families.

HOAX: As part of the Trump administration, Secretary-designate Kennedy would implement a national abortion ban and “restrict or even ban medication abortion without a single act of Congress.”

EXECUTIVE ORDER
ADDITIONAL MEASURES TO COMBAT ANTI-SEMITISM

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Section 1. Purpose. My Administration has fought and will continue to fight anti-Semitism in the United States and around the world. On December 11, 2019, I issued Executive Order 13899, my first Executive Order on Combating Anti-Semitism, finding that students, in particular, faced anti-Semitic harassment in schools and on university and college campuses. Executive Order 13899 provided interpretive assistance on the enforcement of the Nation's civil rights laws to ensure that they would protect American Jews to the same extent to which all other American citizens are protected. The prior administration effectively nullified Executive Order 13899 by failing to give the terms of the order full force and effect throughout the Government. This order reaffirms Executive Order 13899 and directs additional measures to advance the policy thereof in the wake of the Hamas terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, against the people of Israel. These attacks unleashed an unprecedented wave of vile anti-Semitic discrimination, vandalism, and violence against our citizens, especially in our schools and on our campuses. Jewish students have faced an unrelenting barrage of discrimination; denial of access to campus common areas and facilities, including libraries and classrooms; and intimidation, harassment, and physical threats and assault. A joint report by the House Committees on Education and the Workforce, Energy and Commerce, Judiciary, Oversight and Accountability, Veterans' Affairs, and Ways and Means calls the Federal Government's failure to fight anti-Semitism and protect Jewish students "astounding." This failure is unacceptable and ends today.

Sec. 2. Policy. It shall be the policy of the United States to combat anti-Semitism vigorously, using all available and appropriate legal tools, to prosecute, remove, or otherwise hold to account the perpetrators of unlawful anti-Semitic harassment and violence.

Sec. 3. Additional Measures to Combat Campus Anti-Semitism. (a) Within 60 days of the date of this order, the head of each executive department or agency (agency) shall submit a report to the President, through the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, identifying all civil and criminal authorities or actions within the jurisdiction of that agency, beyond those already implemented under Executive Order 13899, that might be used to curb or combat anti-Semitism, and containing an inventory and analysis of all pending administrative complaints, as of the date of the report, against or involving institutions of higher education alleging civil-rights violations related to or arising from post-October 7, 2023, campus anti-Semitism.
(b) The report submitted by the Attorney General under this section shall additionally include an inventory and an analysis of all court cases, as of the date of the report, against or involving institutions of higher education alleging civil-rights violations related to or arising from post-October 7, 2023, campus anti-Semitism and indicate whether the Attorney General intends to or has taken any action with respect to such matters, including filing statements of interest or intervention.
(c) The Attorney General is encouraged to employ appropriate civil-rights enforcement authorities, such as 18 U.S.C. 241, to combat anti-Semitism.
(d) The report submitted by the Secretary of Education under this section shall additionally include an inventory and an analysis of all Title VI complaints and administrative actions, including in K-12 education, related to anti-Semitism -- pending or resolved after October 7, 2023 -- within the Department's Office for Civil Rights.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump Vance Inaugural Committee is pleased to announce the initial list of groups that have accepted an invitation to participate in the annual Presidential Inaugural Parade, which will be held on January 20, immediately following the swearing in of President Donald J. Trump and Senator J.D. Vance. Nearly 7,500 participants from 23 states represent Americans from all walks of life, including a variety of veterans groups, first responders, high school and university marching bands, and equestrian groups.

As is tradition, each branch of the United States Armed Forces will also be represented. 

“The committee is grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of interest from Americans across the country seeking to participate in one of our nation’s most important and longstanding traditions. With upwards of 7,500 participants joining in the Presidential Inaugural Parade, we are thrilled to honor our country and begin America’s new Golden Era,” said co-chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, Trump Vance Inaugural Committee, Inc.

“We are deeply honored to be chosen to participate in this national event,” said Jesse Grapes, president of parade newcomers the Benedictine Schools of Richmond. “This opportunity reflects the discipline, commitment and character of our Cadets and underscores the core values of leadership and service that define our school, and larger school community.”

“What we did together at the Butler Farm Show Grounds as first responders, police and pre-hospital emergency teams on that terrible day in July is what we are trained to do in Butler County every day: protect and save lives.

We are forever changed by the devastating loss of our fellow first responder Corey Comperatore. We hope all Americans will pause today to remember the bravery and sacrifice of their own first responders and police, the expertise of their 911 dispatchers, and the skill of their local hospital emergency and medical staff and emergency management agencies.

We are honored to be here to represent them all, and immensely proud to salute our fellow life-savers nationwide by marching together in the Inaugural Parade today," said Butler County First Responders.

Inaugural parades are a long-lived tradition -- dating back to President Washington’s first election, when impromptu crowds of supporters followed and cheered behind him as he traveled from Mount Vernon to New York City. Presidents Adams and Jefferson also had spontaneous parades, which continued until the inauguration of President James Madison in 1809, when they became an official part of the event.

Trump Vance Inaugural Committee Announces Inaugural Schedule of Events

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee released the schedule of official events for the 60th Presidential Inauguration. The official portion of the Inauguration will begin with a celebration and reception at Trump National Sterling, which will include a large fireworks display. The ceremonies will culminate with the historic swearing in of President Donald J. Trump.

“President Trump is dedicated to uniting the country through the strength, security, and opportunity of his America First agenda,” said Co-Chairs Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, Trump Vance Inaugural Committee, Inc. “The 2025 inaugural celebrations will reflect President-elect Trump’s historic return to the White House and the American people’s decisive vote to Make America Great Again.”

The Committee also released an extensive schedule of inaugural events to be held over a four day celebration starting Saturday, January 18, including a fireworks display, several dinners honoring the President-elect, Vice-President-elect, and cabinet secretaries, a MAGA Victory Rally to recognize the American people, the historic swearing-in, the inaugural parade, and three inaugural balls.
