## Job Description: Data Analyst
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team at one of the country’s leading agro-commodities importing companies. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions and enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data management tools, and an understanding of the agro-commodities market.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including ERP systems, market research, and competitor analysis, to derive actionable insights that support business objectives.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards using BI tools to present findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively. Ensure reports highlight key trends and insights relevant to the agro-commodities sector.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Utilize this information to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Forecasting & Modeling: Apply statistical techniques and forecasting models to predict future trends in the agro-commodities market. Use Python for data manipulation and predictive modeling tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, trading and logistics to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements in data collection and analysis workflows. Implement best practices for data integrity and quality assurance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of market research techniques and competitor analysis within the agro-commodities sector is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
