This is an Imām from Jersey named Mohamed Moussa.

At 5:13 he starts to explain why he thinks the Ahl al-Kitāb get salvation after Rasūlullāh ﷺ and his Mubārak message.

It is not a difference of opinion, but clear Zandaqah.

He and any who so clearly state what he stated are Zindīqs.

To pray behind them is impermissible.

But this is the level of malpractice in Muslim institutions in the United States.

Not only is he a popular Imām kept in place by the third world bureaucracies that run masājid, funny enough, he's also one of the four members of Islamic Relief USA 's committee on Zakāt policies, while also, like another fellow member, actually being a contractor for IR.

Don't say that I'm causing fitnah by this post. The actual fitnah is in allowing such a dumpster fire of a situation to become the status quo in the first place.

If the surgeon cuts with the scalpel, know that the surgery is for the betterment of the patient, not to harm him.

Of particular note is information about the commander of the rebel forces, Abū Muḥammad Jawlānī, about whom I see a great deal of misinformation, but is a very interesting personality.

For those of you not on TikTok, God bless you, and, in general, keep you the hell away from it.

That being said, I was talked into opening an account in order to meet people where they are.

A local young man has been editing short videos for me, and I will be posting them there, as well as on YouTube.

The reason I mention it here, is that if anyone is already on there anyway, and they wish to follow me they can find me at @hmaqbul, and if they find it helpful, share me with people who are otherwise would not be able to find beneficial content.

For the rest of you, count your blessings, and keep praying for good...

With the iterative cycles of events and reactions becoming shorter and shorter, people need to get rid of their tolerance for the platforming and a glorification of outsiders who pay lip service to our cause.

It needs to be replaced by the centering of voices of authority from within our community. I mean that as a Muslim American.

It's great that someone from the Jewish community, the Democratic or Republican Party, a pastor, or an academic has sympathy for us. Let their statements be like a snip of parsley on the already cooked and completed dish. Otherwise if you make it your main course, you're eating Ḥarām nothing good will ever come from that.

They all hate you in their own unique and special ways, with varying levels of politeness and masking. None of them care for your well-being. And why should they? That's your job.

While we have deep and sincere worry for our brothers and sisters oppressed overseas, make sure your own place of worship isn't a co-opted police state in which the remembrance of God and the teachings of His messenger ﷺ are silenced in the favor of platitudes to politicians, the distraction of honorarium-driven Islamotainers and Islamovangelists, and interfaith events devoid of any genuine sharing of our faith, but concentrically masturbatory displays with Rabbis and Pastors actively fundraising for the IDF.

The du'ā that we made for the people of Aleppo in the dark hour has been answered by the grace of the Lord.

Silence is food for the soul. However the path of our master Muhammad ﷺ one of moderation.

Cutting yourself off from your parents is unnatural, and claiming a father other than yours is dehumanizing, yet people treat it as if it's not a big deal, only to their own detriment.

Upon reflection it should be no surprise that the messenger of Allāh ﷺ spoke against it so harshly...

I see a lot of cope going on with Hizb's folding in front of the Zionist occupation.

An agreement in which they cede their heartland to the Lebanese army, after their main Christian allies left them, not to mention catastrophic damage inflicted on them, betrays heavy defeat.

The greater calamity for them, however is the fact that Iran seems to have had betrayed them quite early on in their escalated engagement.

It seems like the axis was more like a scarecrow & in order to save their homeland, their Persian speaking correligionists through them under the bus.

Now, the Zionist occupation will be tolerated on Lebanese soil for at least the next two months, allowing Israeli occupation & settlements in Haifa, and other evacuated parts of Northern Israel to be repopulated, giving a great boost to the current war cabinet in the Zionist occupation government.

The iconic promise not to stop resisting until the war on Gaza relents, has imploded in a whimper when compared to all of the sectarian chest thumping and bluster.

The naive public has once again fallen for propaganda and slogans over substance.

All the while the "axis" has kept up its unrelenting and torturous mischief on the Muslims of Syria, Iraq, and new fronts in Balochistan, Khyber PK & around the world.

The only solace I get from this "ceasefire" between snakes, is that both sides are surely planning all the ways that they're going to break it from before they even signed.

The written copy of the Qur'ān, more properly referred to as the Muṣḥaf, is a sacred object.

According to the classical theory of international relations in the sacred Sharīʿah, the world was divided into two diametrically opposite realms. Carrying the Muṣḥaf from that of peace to that of war was prohibited due to this understanding.

Even though there are contentions, exceptions, disputations, and discussions to be had about that conception of the world, there's a lot more to be learned about how to properly venerate sacred things in this discussion.

Gold and silver, are mainly used amongst Muslims as a medium of exchange, currency and value, as well as adornment and beautification for women. Islam teaches that they are not for men in this world, but for men in the hereafter.

Likewise, flashing attractive colors and clothing are not befitting of men in this world. However, they will be the sign by which the men of Paradise are recognized in the next.

Learn about this, printing presses, foreign relations, and many other important and interesting relevant things in this lesson.

The Worship of Money Takes You to Strange Places

I see a lot of marketing out there.

If the past generations were afraid for selling their Dīn for money, I see the current one having not only embraced it, but brought it to a science.

This includes some who are bona fide scholars & Shaykhs of Ṭāriqah who have something substantial they are now trying to sell.

They are like an atol surrounded by a gang of fakers selling "courses, coaching, masterclasses & ijāzas."

The fatal flaw in the reasoning of the public is that somehow if you pay money, you get something of a better quality.

The greatest gifts that we were all given by the Lord were all free.

It is true, that you get out of things what you put into them, however not everything is a consumer good.

We received the Qur'ān for free.

Do you think you're going to receive its gifts more by exerting yourself harder and memorizing, reading, understanding, and acting on it?

Or by buying a more expensive course, Muṣḥaf with different colors, some kind of a pen, a premium app and lessons with the swankiest and most charismatic teachers?

We start the reading and explanation of the classic work al-Murshid al-Muʿīn of Shaykh ʿabd al-Wāḥid bin ʿĀshir, a nearly ubiquitously present and taught text amongst the countries of the world in which the Mālikī school is ascendant.

We speak a little bit about the benefit and utility of memorization, it's relation to text that are versified, and what the point of learning the sciences of Islam is in the first place.

Thereafter we have a discussion regarding the importance and authority of Mālik amongst the scholars of the early generations, as well as mentioning Abū al-Ḥasan al-'Ashʿarī and Junayd al-Baghdādī.

The ranking status of ʿUmar in this Ummah is very celebrated, but not very understood.

Most people like him because of his bold and forthright style, and because in him unites strength and goodness and a time when they seem to have separated.

However, very few people have pondered deeply over the nature of his intelligence and spiritual insight.

We go through an in-depth discussion on this topic using the case study of the Sunnah of when plagues strike a land.

Thereafter we have a thoroughly engaging discussion about the nature of sorcery and its harms.

Two burials today at the graveyard.

The one on the right was a great scholar who lived a life of service, and his adult sons and son-in-law went into the grave and straightened him facing the Qiblah, while the students of knowledge and the righteous prayed for his forgiveness and elevation and rank.

The one on the left was a small baby. The only one mourner was who I assume was the father, crying with bloodshot eyes praying by the grave side. I walked over and was the second with him, embracing him for a moment.

Two different ends, both of which we pray are good.

As for myself, I have nothing to look forward to or hope for other than Allāh Ta'ālā being Who He is.

The Most Merciful of the Merciful, may He have mercy on us all.

For most of my life the idea of buying an expensive piece of luggage seemed dumb to me.

Why should I pay more money to transport my things than the things themselves are worth?

The first time I recall actually spending a substantial amount of money on a piece of luggage was in 2016, where I spent a little less than $100 at Costco (which is still relatively modest compared to how much hand carries sell for, for battle hardened road warriors).

It seemed very nice and functional, and carried a lifetime warranty. I asked the Costco people what the lifetime warranty meant and they said the warranty was for a reasonable amount of time, like 7 or 10 years, so I thought I travel a lot, why not?

It's been a much better back than the weird pieces I've lugged around over the years.

The first trip I took it on was to travel to Hong Kong to teach the Ṭaḥawiyyah.

Now as I'm boarding my flight home from North Carolina teaching Remedial Taṣawwuf, after taking scratches, slashes, broken zippers and other minor damage, the handle finally broke.

I ask Allāh Ta'ālā to make my life in this world mirror that of my bag from His Faḍl by His grace.

There's background with this organization more than what's written on the billboard, which can be charitably interpreted, when context is not there. But if you go to their website or listen to any of their material they pump out, or have experience with their speakers coming to Islamic schools, or other institutions, you will see that what they mean by their messaging is not something acceptable.

HEART, a local Chicago organization that infringes on Muslim cultural identity in a way that is completely devoid & uncommitted to any sort of observation of the sacred law or creed of Islām put up this monstrosity on a billboard.

The message is tantamount to disbelief.

The slave doesn't forge his or her own life journey, including "reproductive decisions," but hears & obeys.

Using the Divine name in order to ape postmodern liberal talking points is the epitome of cringe, & should be a source of annoyance for all believers.

Yet these people doing the devil's work, are afforded legitimacy & platform in a number of local & national Muslim organizations.

This type of propaganda is also a type of sexual abuse that should be denounced just like that of other abusers who have breached trust with the community in the past.

We take our institutional degree courses, and corporate jobs so seriously and give them so much priority despite the fact that we know if we were ever in a situation where we didn't earn substantially more money for our masters than what they pay us, they would ditch us like a bad habit.

So why is it that those who we care for the most and those who care for us the most, we treat them as a second priority or as an at will or even retail level of relationship?

If you want others to be there for you, you should also be there for them.

Thoma will be there for you even after the sun, moon and stars are snuffed out. If one of us makes it then the one who makes it takes their brother by the hand and we all make it.

My Statement About Most Statements About Horrific Abuse in the Name of Teaching Islam

There was apparently a man who once found an injured squirrel and nursed it back to health.

He then made a viral post about it on social media. The squirrel was the picture of lovability.

That post caught the attention of the authorities, who then proceeded to SWAT team his house, abduct the squirrel and kill it.

Somehow a political candidate manage to express sympathy for the squirrel and its master, it's such a way to conflate himself with that squirrel, and his rival candidate with those who killed it.

He proceeded to win the election.

I'm against killing the squirrel.

I marvel at how the candidate managed to somehow make it about them and their own agenda.

May all abuse victims receive justice, may all accused receive due process, may all guilty parties be punished and may all candidates try not to make everything about their own little politics, and if they can't, may the public not be so quick to drink Kool-Aide.

*Political candidates come in the form of scholars, mental health providers, "community leaders," activists & other people with other issues

**There were a few posts that were dead on the money like Joe Bradford .

For the rest of you, don't be upset at me for saying what I said. Rather, like the Russian fairy tale Cinderella, if the shoe fits, wear it...

The goal of punishing the incumbent party for genocide has been realized by those who hate oppression.

But this is no time for jubilation or exuberance.

There is a lot of work left for the Muslim community, and those who are antigenocide, if they wish to help the people of Gaza against the overwhelming systemic oppression thrown at them by the war unit party of Democrats and Republicans beholden to the military industrial complex.

For anyone who lives to 7th congressional district of Ohio, including Westlake, North Olmsted, Strongsville, Parma, Brookpark, Middleburg Heights, Medina and all the way down to Wooster, I would like to share an important endorsement:

Vote tomorrow for Dennis Kucinich not just because he is a consistently belligerent anti-war politician for decades, but because the incumbent Max Miller expressed desire to see Gaza turned into a parking lot.

I was Imām in what is now that district for 2 years, and have connection with that community.

If not anything else, your vote counts a great deal for this particular race. Hustle out and make it to the polling stations, and drag your friends, family, relatives, neighbors, and whoever else you can to vote against genocide.

The ṣalāt is no less than the slave's communion with the Divine. That being said, there is an art to managing one's humanity when it becomes an impediment to the purity of that communion and its light to being imbied by the heart.

Much of the genius of the sunnah is in teaching a flawed animal like a human being how to maintain adab when entreating and beseeching the Lord.

This lesson includes description of the inner dimensions of the prayer as well as an introduction to what to do when a person forgets different parts of the prayer, or adds extraneous things to it.

One who can't see the connect between imperial military aggression & imperial economy, is daft, either by birth or by convenient ignorance.

Likewise daft is anyone who can't see the latter drives the former.

Take money out of banks/corporations; make it work in the real world.

There are many knots that can be much more easily untied by our non-participation & mitigated participation in the satanic economy.

From the broken system of Ḥalāl to Islamic Finance & contracts, not driven by corporations and banks, but by scholars who draft direct contracts between parties, there's perhaps nobody more primely positioned to bypass the usury and blood-driven economic freak show urinating on the people of the world.

Sad it is, that despite this blessing we were given, still we have children who think they are smart, and daydream about living a preppie life that culminates in a corporate a slave job, consultancy, or financial corpseplay.

In general, living a happy and successful life conditioned on necessary dependence by narcotics, alcohol, psychedelics or what are euphemistically referred to as "mind altering substances," IS NEITHER HAPPY NOR SUCCESSFUL.

Just like steroids will yield results, at the expense of causing your testicles to shrivel up because they no longer can produce testosterone, trying to augment your mind by undermining it is spiritually a suicidal fail.

People talk about seeing demons in psychedelic trips.

My friends from school told me about seeing the devil himself when drunk, or feeling his presence.

It's all evil, and any attempt to justify it is just a cope.

I thank the Lord, that for all of the stresses and difficulties of my life, I never had to nuke my brain in order to deal with it.

And neither should you...

Allāh Ta'ālā asks in His book, has not time come for the believers for their hearts to be humbled in front of the remembrance of God and that which came down from the Truth?

Later in the same verse of Sūrat Ḥadīd He asks has so much time passed? That now you're hearts have become hard?

Are you bored with Him?

Are you bored with His prophet ﷺ?

Are you bored with the Qur'ān?

Are you bored with the Sunnah?

We do not need to reform, but renew. That obligation exists in every believer, in their life, in their year, in months, days, hours, and in their every breath.

I was never given platform on MSNBC, DNC, RNC or FOX.

I had a friend who was on a planning committee for an ISNA convention who said (unbeknownst to me) that he suggested my name one year as a speaker, to be told by the HQ guys that they didn't want "too many Desis."

Even MSAs seem to be reluctant to call me, even though, unlike many of their speakers, I'm an MSA4LIFEer, due to a type of fear of anything that doesn't have a certain æsthetic.

It was very difficult to find anyone who would rent a space for Ribāṭ to me, with particular antagonism from Muslim landlords. Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn is currently being taught in what is now nearly its tenth & Inshā'Allāh final location before Khatm.

I am not a good public speaker (my umm/ah count is astronomical), nor the most learned or pious of my colleagues.

But guess what? Allāh Ta'ālā opened a door for me & I hustle around despite it all.

My message reaches where it needs to reach & it has toppled idols & will overturn thrones, by Allāh Ta'ālā 's permission.

May my Lord accept it from all who listen & may His grace envelope us all.

A discussion about how to use things of general societal import without causing others to resent you, how to, as a father, deal with your family in a way that keeps them together rather than drive them apart with resentment.

Finally, a heart-rending recounting of the love of martyrdom from the best of this Ummah, the companions of the Messenger Allāh Ta'ālā ﷺ, may Allāh Ta'ālā be pleased with them all.

We often pray for upright men of integrity to take the reins of this affair on our behalf.

But when they come, we seem to turn our backs on them like the children of Israel, opting instead to save our hearts for the most wretched of misers, narcissists, psychopaths, and fluffy entertainers.

It's time to take another look at what our hearts connect to...

We represent Islam to non-muslims primarily through our creed, not sacred law.

That being said, many antagonists try to bait people into fear by portraying the legally mandated exemplary physical punishments of the sacred law, or Ḥudūd, as some kind of maximalist stateist interventional nightmare; but far from being the spectacle of barbarism and cruelty, it actually is much more effective as a deterrent, and a lighter punishment on the criminal in both worlds.

Put blessings into your time while walking or doing chores and have a listen.
