IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING (T&L) MODE DURING THE 64TH UNIVERSITI MALAYA CONVOCATION CEREMONY

As we are all aware, the 64th Universiti Malaya Convocation Ceremony will be held from 30 November to 8 December 2024 at the Dewan Tunku Canselor, Universiti Malaya.
Based on experiences from previous years, traffic congestion is expected during the Convocation Ceremony week. Hence, to avoid peak-hour traffic congestion during the Convocation Ceremony, the University Management has decided that all Teaching and Learning (T&L) activities are to be conducted online from 2 December to 6 December 2024.

IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING (T&L) MODE DURING THE 64TH UNIVERSITI MALAYA CONVOCATION CEREMONY
As we are all aware, the 64th Universiti Malaya Convocation Ceremony will be held from 30 November to 8 December 2024 at the Dewan Tunku Canselor, Universiti Malaya.
Based on experiences from previous years, traffic congestion is expected during the Convocation Ceremony week. Hence, to avoid peak-hour traffic congestion during the Convocation Ceremony, the University Management has decided that all Teaching and Learning (T&L) activities are to be conducted online from 2 December to 6 December 2024.

IMPLEMENTATION OF NON-FACE-TO-FACE TEACHING AND LEARNING (T&L) ACTIVITIES (28TH OCTOBER - 1ST NOVEMBER 2024
Please be informed that the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology (FSKTM) Management has agreed to conduct all teaching and learning (T&L) activities in non-face-to-face mode from 28th October to 1st November 2024. During this period, all T&L activities will be held online, asynchronously, or through other non-face-to-face methods, without requiring physical presence at the Faculty. This decision allows FSKTM members celebrating Deepavali the opportunity to return home and celebrate with their families.

I would like to invite applications for a PhD study on a project entitled "Deciphering Cardiac Substructure Dosimetry Through Deep Learning to Improve Deep Inspiration Breath Hold Breast Radiotherapy." This study will provide tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend for 3 years.
The project:
Join our innovative research project focused on improving cardiac dosimetry in breast radiotherapy using the Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) technique. This study aims to develop an advanced segmentation algorithm to accurately depict intricate cardiac substructures during DIBH, assess their dosimetric impacts, and enhance radiotherapy planning protocols. Utilizing machine learning, particularly deep learning, the project involves iterative algorithm development, rigorous validation, and comprehensive dosimetric analysis. The ultimate goal is to create a high-resolution segmentation tool that improves patient safety by reducing radiation-induced cardiac injury, potentially transforming breast radiotherapy practices.
Requirements:
• The candidate must be a Malaysian.
• The candidate should possess a Master's degree with a CGPA > 3.5, or a Bachelor's degree with a CGPA >= 3.7 in a relevant field (Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering or Computer Science).
• Strong interest in research and programming.
• Good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Hardworking, self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision, resourceful, diligent, with a sense of urgency and a willingness to learn.
