Dear Residents,

Today, Monday, January 27, 2025, a siren test will take place in Efrat to address recent concerns regarding the system’s performance. At 5:05 PM, a trial siren will sound for 1.5 minutes. This duration corresponds to the time needed to enter a protected area.

Please note that this is only a test. In the event of a real emergency, an additional siren will sound, and an emergency SMS will be sent by the Efrat Security Center. Further details will also be shared on the Council’s "Updates" WhatsApp group.

After the test, a survey will be sent for residents who were in public spaces such as streets, parks, or internal roads, to provide feedback on the siren’s volume. The siren may also be audible in towns near Efrat.

Please inform your family members to avoid unnecessary panic.

תושבים יקרים, עדכון תנועה מוצ"ש, 11/1/25 נכון לשעה 20:10: עומסים חריגים בכביש המנהרות לכוון ירושלים בשל תאונת דרכים במנהרה הצפונית. העומסים מתחילים כבר מצומת אל ח'אדר. אנא היערכו בהתאם.

בהמשך לאירוע הפריצה לבית באפרת מתחילת השבוע, לעדכנכם שהאירוע עדיין נמצא בחקירה משטרתית. זהות הפורץ ידועה למשטרה.

Dear Residents, Following the recent home break-in incident in Efrat earlier this week, we would like to update you that the matter remains under active police investigation. The identity of the burglar is known to the authorities.
In parallel, the Security Department has conducted a thorough review of the circumstances surrounding the incident and operational guidelines and response protocols have been refined.

We would like to remind you to report any suspicious activity immediately by contacting the Efrat Security Hotline at *5436.

Traffic Update: Due to essential maintenance work, both lanes of the road between the Tamar Traffic Circle and the pumping station under the Zayit will be temporarily closed today, Tuesday, July 7, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM for approximately 15 minutes. Traffic update regarding the ongoing construction work from the pumping station under the Zayit to the Tamar Traffic Circle:
The construction work with one lane closed for construction has been postponed to Wednesday January 8, 2025 between 8:00 A.M. and 4 P.M. Traffic will be redirected to the opposite lane on an alternating schedule, and traffic controllers will be present to manage the flow.

Earlier today, a report was received at the Efrat security center regarding a burglary at a house in Efrat.

Upon receiving the report, security forces and the police were immediately alerted, and an investigation is currently underway.

We understand the sensitivity of the situation and the concerns it raises. However, in consultation with the police and to avoid disrupting the investigation, we are refraining from sharing further details at this time.

We kindly ask you to avoid spreading messages or rumors and to allow the police to conduct their investigation thoroughly.
