Snow Preparedness Update, Announcement No. 7

❄️ The weather is expected to be very cold tonight. There is a slight possibility of snowfall overnight, but accumulation is unlikely.
*Therefore, the education system will likely operate as usual.*
We are working in cooperation with the Gush Etzion Regional Council on this matter.
In Jerusalem and Kiryat Arba, school will begin at 9:00 AM. For students that have a hasa'a to Jerusalem - please check with the driver for the pick-up time.

⛄ Due to the low temperatures, icy conditions are expected on the roads. The public is urged to drive with extreme caution.

💡 *In the early morning hours, a situation assessment will be conducted at the council, and an additional announcement will be made if necessary.*

🚗 Roads and Highways – Announcements will be made based on decisions by Netivei Yisrael and the army.

💡 It is recommended to leave faucets dripping to prevent solar collectors from shattering.

בירושלים ובקרית ארבע הלימודים יחלו בשעה 9:00, זכאי הסעה תלמידי חנ"מ - אנא ודאו מול הנהג שעת איסוף עדכנית.

❄️ According to the updated forecasts, temperatures are expected to drop in the early hours of the night which will lead to icy roads, that will likely persist until morning. Please drive slowly and carefully and avoid sudden braking and dangerous turns.

*Efrat schools will open in the morning at their usual time*

💡Efrat students studying in Jerusalem: Schools in the Jerusalem Municipality will begin at 9:00 AM. Please be in touch with your hasaah driver to determine the time of pick up.

💡 The council will assess the situation in the morning and if necessary send another message.

🚗 Roads and Highways - Announcements will be issued in accordance with the decisions of the Israel Highways and the army.

❄️ The intense cold has arrived, and we at the council are preparing for the possibility of snow starting as soon as Shabbat ends. Our emergency teams across various departments remain on standby throughout Shabbat to handle any scenarios that may arise.

🌸 Community Support
The Department of Social Services, in collaboration with Tsachashim (community volunteers), has conducted an initial assessment to support individuals with medical needs. If you require assistance due to blocked roads, prolonged power outages, or other emergency situations, please contact your neighborhood emergency response team.

❄️ הקור העז כבר איתנו, ואנו במועצה נערכים להיתכנות לשלג כבר בצאת השבת. צוותי כוננות של האגפים השונים מוכנים לתרחישים שונים גם במהלך השבת.

🌸 האגף לשירותים חברתיים בשיתוף צוותי הצח"ש ערכו מיפוי ראשוני למתן מענה מותאם לאוכלוסיות קצה, כגון חולים מונשמים ומשפחות צמי"ד. ניתן לעדכן את הצח"ש בשכונה במידה ויש צורך בסיוע במקרה של חסימת צירי תנועה, הפסקות חשמל ממושכות ועוד.

🥰 חוסן קהילתי: יש הרשמה מרגשת מאוד להתנדבות למקרה חירום בתחומים השונים. תודה רבה!
